Among the biggest movers this week: Lamar Jackson surged 6 spots, Jayden Daniels climbed 4, and Bo Nix jumped 8. But which of these rising QBs most deserves the boost?

So today, we ask you Footballguys:

🗳️ POLL: Which rising QB most deserves their recent NFFC ADP surge?

When you vote in the Poll below, you'll see the current standings, and we'll post the final results in the next edition of the Daily Update.

1. PIT: Aaron Rodgers gets rave review

Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers has drawn rave reviews from a couple of NFL scouts. 'Look, the mobility is an issue, there's no doubt,' an AFC executive said. 'But where he helps them is with the plus arm strength and the field vision from the pocket. They haven't had that. I'm not sure that will be enough, but the offense will be at least respectable.' 'He's still throwing the (crap) out of the ball, honestly,' a veteran NFL offensive coach said. 'He's the best quarterback they've had since (Ben Roethlisberger). We will see how the body holds up, but I think he's going to help them immensely.'

Our view: As things stand, it's hard to argue against the notion that Pittsburgh went with their best option at quarterback: A 41-year-old Rodgers on a team-friendly contract that pays $13.65 million and pushes toward $20 million with incentives. Remember, despite playing for a lame-duck staff in New York and lacking chemistry with his best receiver, Garrett Wilson, Rodgers still threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 28 touchdowns with the Jets last season. From a fantasy perspective, Rodgers' 16th-round price tag (as QB29) offers a lot of flexibility for those waiting as long as possible for their QB2.

2. GB: Matthew Golden poised for big year?

Source: ESPN.com - NFL Nation

Green Bay Packers WR Matthew Golden is likely to 'get plenty of playing time right away,' in the opinion of ESPN's Rob Demovsky, who notes that WR Christian Watson (knee) is set to miss the start of the season while recovering from a torn ACL. Demovsky also writes that Golden 'seemed to immediately jell' with QB Jordan Love during offseason activities.

Our view: Beyond all that, Demovsky suggested when you're the first receiver your team has drafted in Round 1 since 2002, you'd better show it was worth it. The fact that Golden has an opportunity to do just that makes him of interest to fantasy investors. Golden's ninth-round average draft position -- he's being drafted as WR47, behind teammate Jayden Reed (WR44) is plenty reasonable given the circumstances.

A fantasy draft is all about obtaining the most value with each selection. Value is available throughout a draft; grabbing it is one of the most important keys to a successful fantasy team. To point out this value, we asked our staff to identify players available in the top half of your draft who should outperform their draft position.

Underrated RB Aaron Jones, Minnesota Vikings

Jason Wood: Aaron Jones finished as RB19 last season, and the Vikings saw fit to re-sign the veteran to a 2-year, $20 million contract with $13 million guaranteed in March.

There’s a cognitive dissonance surrounding the Vikings this offseason, where many are fading the offense due to concerns that quarterback J.J. McCarthy can’t match what Sam Darnold did in 2024. Yet those same people are treating Darnold as one of the worst fantasy options this year now that he’s signed with the Seahawks.

Either you believe the Vikings offense is a product of Kevin O’Connell’s system and Justin Jefferson’s dominance, or you don’t. You can’t have it both ways. I’m in the camp that McCarthy will be as good, if not better, at executing the offense this year. And Jones is being paid to reprise his role as the centerpiece of the rushing attack.

Ben Cummins: Minnesota’s offseason included signing guard Will Fries and center Ryan Kelly while also extending blocking tight end Josh Oliver. The Vikings aim to run more effectively in 2025, which makes sense as it will alleviate pressure on J.J. McCarthy, who operated in a run-heavy collegiate attack and has yet to take an NFL snap.

Yes, running back Jordan Mason was also brought in. He was very efficient last season, but the biggest beneficiary of this philosophy shift is Aaron Jones.

Jones will turn 31 years old during the season, but he has shown little to no signs of slowing down. Jones entered the NFL as one of the best athletes the league had ever seen and continued to showcase that electricity last year, consistently utilizing his speed to get to the edge and create plays in space.

He racked up 1,546 total yards and 7 touchdowns and ranked 11th in opportunities per game (18.8), 14th in total yards per game (91.9), eighth in running back targets (62), and seventh in running back receiving yards (408). The dual-threat will once again thrive in an offense that ranked sixth in Expected Points Added per Play in 2024.

Bob Harris: Aaron Jones thrived in his first year with Minnesota, setting career highs in touches (306), carries (255), and offensive snaps (700) while playing all 17 games. Despite battling hip, rib, and quad injuries, Jones posted 1,138 rushing yards and 1,546 scrimmage yards -- both top-tier numbers -- and scored seven total TDs.

He finished 2024 as RB12 overall and RB19 on a per-game basis (14.6 PPR). In addition, Jones remains one of the league's most versatile backs, ranking in the top 10 at the position in catches (51, tied for the eighth-most) and yards receiving (408, seventh-most).

Are there concerns? Sure. Jones wore down as the season progressed. He averaged 5.2 yards per carry over his first six games but dropped to 4.1 yards per carry over his final 11.

Other issues include Jones' age, injury history, Minnesota's QB situation, and an offseason trade for Jordan Mason, all of which could continue to depress his value. Still, fantasy investors able to land him as their RB3 should consider that a win.

3. MIN: J.J. McCarthy impressing with arm strength

Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert

Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy's arm has looked especially lively on throws down the middle of the field. 'He definitely has an arm,' receiver Justin Jefferson said. 'That's for sure. He can definitely zip it whenever he needs to.' Jefferson noted that McCarthy threw the ball the same way, hard and straight, last year. McCarthy said he was experimenting with his throws 'every single day' this spring and added: 'I believe I've grown the most on just the different level of trajectories of throw. At Michigan, I was kind of a one-speed pitch kind of guy. I had a couple deeper balls with level-three throws and stuff like that, but [I'm] just working on that two-ball and different paces to the 'pitches' and ball location.'

Our view: In addition to being able to make all throws, McCarthy has a strong supporting cast of skill players, including Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and Aaron Jones. Throw in an aggressive play-caller in head coach Kevin O'Connell, and there's a lot for fantasy investors to like here -- including a QB20 average draft position. The 12th-round price tag is especially appealing given McCarthy's QB12 Footballguys Projection.

4. JAX: Travis Hunter possesses endless endurance

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter 'does not tire' and has 'the capacity' to play on both sides of the ball for four quarters, according to general manager James Gladstone.'He does not tire. He's got a spark, he's got the energy, the capacity from a physical standpoint to be able to do it is certainly there,' Gladstone told Andrew Siciliano on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday, June 17.

Our view: Gladstone wouldn't commit to a certain number of offensive or defensive snaps per game but indicated the Jaguars are confident that whatever number they ask of Hunter, he'll deliver. "Certain game plans might dictate usage differently," Gladstone said. We'll be watching closely during training camp and the preseason for more insight on usage. But the week-to-week uncertainty surrounding his playing time is baked into Hunter's WR29 average draft position. Those who invest in a pair of high-volume options ahead of him at the position will likely be willing to deal with some down weeks if Hunter's peaks are high enough.

5. LVR: Michael Mayer poised to break out?

Source: ESPN.com - Ryan McFadden

Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer has been 'outstanding,' according to offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.

Our view: In two seasons, Mayer, a second-round pick in 2023, has totaled 460 yards and two touchdowns on 48 catches. He had just 21 catches for 156 yards as he was absent seven weeks last year for personal reasons. While it's true the offense opens up even more if Mayer is productive and the team can play more two-tight end sets, it hardly guarantees fantasy relevance. As long as Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers are healthy, Mayer will be battling for targets in a group that Tre Tucker, Jack Bech, Ashton Jeanty, and Raheem Mostert.

6. LVR: Tre Tucker performs well at minicamp

Source: RaidersWire - Levi Damien

Las Vegas Raiders WR Tre Tucker was a standout performer during the mandatory minicamp last week, in the opinion of Levi Damien.

Our view: Tucker possesses the elite speed needed to stretch the field and score quickly. As AtoZSports.com's Justin Churchill recently noted, Tucker has consistently been the only guy on the offense the last two years who has been able to create problems downfield for opposing defenses. Worth noting, the 5-9 Tucker bulked up this offseason after coming into the league at 182 pounds. With a new quarterback, Geno Smith, capable of getting the ball downfield, it will be interesting to see if Tucker can keep improving in year three with the Raiders.

7. CHI: Big expectations for Colston Loveland

Source: ESPN.com - NFL Nation

Chicago Bears TE Colston Loveland (shoulder) was named as the choice for 'best rookie in the NFC North' by three of the four ESPN writers that were polled. All three drew parallels to Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta, who had 86 receptions and 10 touchdowns during his rookie year when new head coach Ben Johnson was the offensive coordinator in Detroit, though ESPN's Kevin Seifert suggested Loveland could get off to a slow start due to veteran TE Cole Kmet being an established contributor.

Our view: ESPN Bears' beat writer Courtney Cronin noted that teams don't draft tight ends in the top 10 without expecting them to make an immediate impact. Even if Kmet is a factor in two-TE sets, the outlet Loveland will provide Caleb Williams in the passing game is critical for the quarterback making a leap in his second season. Even if he falls short of LaPorta's remarkable rookie season, Loveland's TE13 average draft position and 10th-round price tag make it easier for those looking to take a shot on the upside.

8. MIN: Jordan Addison shows connection with QB

Source: VikingsWire - Andrew Harbaugh

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison appeared to have a good connection with QB J.J. McCarthy during the mandatory minicamp last week. McCarthy said he plans to work out with Addison leading up to training camp.

Our view: Addison has proven his rookie season was not a fluke and that the production could be replicated, even without Kirk Cousins. Of course, as previously noted, Addison faces a July 15 trial on a DUI charge. A guilty verdict -- or an admission of guilt by way of a plea agreement -- will likely lead to league punishment. The Vikings are expecting a three-game suspension, which might suppress Addison's draft value to a point where the discount becomes appealing. We'll be watching for more on that in coming weeks.
