Pressed for time but still want to stay sharp with the news? We've got you.

Every August, we roll out one of the most valuable things we do at Footballguys: our Footballguys Preseason Updates. They're 32+ pages per week of hand-crafted intel from our staff covering every relevant player on every NFL team. It's a monster feature. And honestly, it's worth the price of a Footballguys Premium Subscription on its own.

But we get it. Life doesn't always leave room for 32-page deep dives.

That's why we created this distilled version. No fluff, no filler. We take the full Updates and pull out the most crucial player takeaways, broken down team by team.

So you get smarter in minutes. Not hours.

It's an unfair advantage for Footballguys subscribers. And we're ok with that.

Most of these come straight from our full reports and Footballguys staffers; others are my takes. But all of it is curated to give you an edge.

Plus, we've added direct links to each team's Depth Chart and the Full Camp Report. So if you want to dig deeper, it's just one click away.

Let's dive in.

Atlanta Falcons | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report (coming soon)

  • QB Michael Penix Jr. is confident, saying of the offense, "We should be the best in the league."
  • RB Bijan Robinson is focusing on hitting home runs, trying to emulate Saquon Barkley.
  • WR Drake London has been a leader, with the coaching staff praising his willingness to do the dirty work in run blocking.
  • WR Darnell Mooney is out with a shoulder injury; his return is considered "week to week."
  • TE Kyle Pitts Sr. continues to offer hope, with Penix saying, "See, we got KP the ball a lot today, gonna be a lot of that."

Baltimore Ravens | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report (coming soon)

  • QB Lamar Jackson is looking to continue to grow as a passer after putting up great numbers last season.
  • Third-string RB Keaton Mitchell is fully recovered from a major injury in 2023 and is showing so much explosiveness that he may force his way into the rotation for 2025.
  • WRs Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are entrenched as the top wideouts, with Devontez Walker emerging as a promising deep threat and DeAndre Hopkins adapting well to the new offense.
  • TE Isaiah Likely is expected to miss the first few weeks, opening the door for a strong start to the season for Mark Andrews and more work for Charlie Kolar.

Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report (coming soon)

  • Last year's MVP QB Josh Allen remains an elite fantasy option, but the preseason will help settle a tight competition for the backup job between Mitchell Trubisky and Mike White.
  • RB James Cook wants a new contract and reported to camp, but sat out practice on Sunday and Monday in a "hold-in."
  • WR Khalil Shakir suffered a high ankle sprain that puts his status for the season opener in question, while Keon Coleman has flashed his potential while also struggling with drops at times.
  • High hopes remain that TE Dalton Kincaid can help unlock this offense, but the continued presence of Dawson Knox may limit his fantasy upside.
  • On defense, veteran corner Tre'Davious White has played well in his return to Buffalo, while rookie Maxwell Hairston is week-to-week with a knee injury.

Carolina Panthers | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report (coming soon)

  • QB Bryce Young did not start camp as hot as he ended the 2024 season. No one is concerned yet, as he's played better recently.
  • The running game will be the focal point of the offense, and RB Chuba Hubbard will again lead the charge.
  • Behind Hubbard, RB Rico Dowdle has played well enough, but has not flashed as much as rookie RB Trevor Etienne.
  • There were concerns about rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan beating press coverage in the NFL, and those were amplified during the first few days of practice. However, he has shown his catch radius and contested-catch ability.
