Pressed for time but still want to stay sharp with the news? We've got you.

Every August, we roll out one of the most valuable things we do at Footballguys: our Footballguys Preseason Updates. They're 32+ pages per week of hand-crafted intel from our staff covering every relevant player on every NFL team. It's a monster feature. And honestly, it's worth the price of a Footballguys Premium Subscription on its own.

But we get it. Life doesn't always leave room for 32-page deep dives.

That's why we created this: the distilled version. No fluff, no filler. Just the most crucial player takeaways, broken down team by team, so you get smarter in minutes. Not hours.

It's an unfair advantage for Footballguys subscribers. And we're ok with that.

Most of these come straight from our full reports and Footballguys staffers; others are my takes. But all of it is curated to give you an edge.

Plus, we've added direct links to each team's Depth Chart and the Full Camp Report. So if you want to dig deeper, it's just one click away.

If you find this helpful (or if there's something you'd love to see us add), drop me a note at bryant@footballguys.com and let me know.

Let's dive in.

Arizona Cardinals | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

Atlanta Falcons | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Michael Penix Jr. has struggled with accuracy in practice sessions throughout camp, but in has risen to the moment to close sessions and in the Titans scrimmage.
  • OC Zac Robinson has been "stretching the limits" with RB Bijan Robinson, moving him around formations and stating flexibility was a goal since the start of the preseason.
  • WR Drake London is locked in and seems primed to deliver the best season of his career.
  • The team has provided no further clarity on WR Darnell Mooney's injury timeline, though the injury is expected to influence final cuts. Mooney was hurt on July 24th, the first day of camp.
  • If Mooney is out, WR Casey Washington is a legitimate sleeper. Washington has been running in the starting unit for a month and has developed a strong rapport with Penix. They worked together last year on the scout team.

Baltimore Ravens | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Lamar Jackson escaped serious injury after getting his foot stepped on and is expected to return to practice this week.
  • WR Zay Flowers has added 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason in an effort to improve his physicality and durability.
  • WR Devontez Walker is developing into a more well-rounded receiver and is no longer pigeonholed as solely a deep threat.
  • The Ravens' pending decision on whether to start Isaiah Likely on IR or keep him on the active roster will be telling as to when to expect him to return to the field.

Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Josh Allen sat out all the preseason games for the first time. Some are wondering if it will affect his start this year.
  • Expect a similar committee approach at running back despite James Cook's new deal.
  • At WR, Khalil Shakir is questionable for Week 1, while Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer are set for big roles.
  • TE Dalton Kincaid should earn a bigger role as he continues to develop, but Dawson Knox figures to cap his potential.
  • On defense, the pass rush should be improved this year, but cornerback depth is a major concern.

Carolina Panthers | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Bryce Young looks sharper than last year and should see improved production with a deeper, more dynamic receiving corps.
  • RB Chuba Hubbard remains the top back, with Rico Dowdle as a reliable secondary option and Trevor Etienne playing a passing-down and change-of-pace role.
  • WR Tetairoa McMillan is the clear No. 1, while Jalen Coker's breakout camp could elevate his role and impact early-season targets.
  • WR Adam Thielen could be on the trade block, leaving Xavier Legette and Jimmy Horn Jr. to round out the receiving group, with Horn adding upside as a returner.
  • Expect low volume from the Panthers' tight ends, with Ja'Tavian Sanders primarily having an impact in the red zone.

Chicago Bears | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Caleb Williams is still struggling with some of the errors that marked his rookie season, but is showing development in an offense that provides him with easy looks.
  • Running back injuries cloud the depth chart, but RB D'Andre Swift should handle the bulk, potentially ceding short-distance work to RB Kyle Monangai.
  • While WRs DJ Moore and Rome Odunze are the most talented of the bunch, consistent usage from WR Olamide Zaccheaus could cause the ball to be spread thinly, lowering everyone's ceiling.
  • The versatility of TEs Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet will allow the Bears to keep base personnel on the field and seek mismatches while showing the defense different looks.
