Titans | Kevin Zeitler suffers groin injury Sun Dec 14, 07:27 PM
Tennessee Titans OG Kevin Zeitler (groin) left the Week 15 game against the San Francisco 49ers due to a groin injury.
Link to storyUpdating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) had an MRI which showed a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee late in the Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Mahomes and the team are exploring surgical options. QB Gardner Minshew is expected to take over the starting quarterback to finish the season.
Footballguys view: Now the question is whether Mahomes will be ready for Week 1 next season. The Chiefs don't have any other quarterback under contract for 2026, so we might get a read on their expectations by the moves they make in the offseason. The Chiefs get the Titans next week, so we'll keep Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce in lineups and consider Minshew in 2QB/Superflex leagues.

Chicago Bears RB Kyle Monangai ran for 33 yards on 11 carriesin a Week 15 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Link to storyTennessee Titans LB Cedric Gray (concussion) left the Week 15 game against the San Francisco 49ers due to a concussion, and he was unable to return.
Link to storyLos Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (cramps) left the Week 15 game against the Detroit Lions in the fourth quarter due to what the team is calling cramps. He was hit in the back on the ground on a reception. He attempted to get up, and feel to the ground in pain. Eventually, he walked off under his own power, and he walked to the locker room.
Footballguys view: Nacua has been resuming his elite WR1 fantasy form in recent weeks, and he could be even better with Davante Adams likely out for a while because of a hamstring injury, but we'll need to monitor this closely with the Rams having to turn around and play in four days at Seattle on Thursday night.

Tennessee Titans WR Van Jefferson (back) left the Week 15 game against the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth quarter due to a back injury. He did not return.
Footballguys view: Despite the early exit, Jefferson tied for second on the team in targets for the game. As Tennessee's third receiver behind Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, his status will be worth monitoring as the practice week begins. The Titans play the Chiefs in Week 16.

Los Angeles Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring) left the Week 15 game against the Detroit Lions in the fourth quarter due to an apparent hamstring injury.
Footballguys view: Adams went down while running a deep route. Because he has been on the injury report with hamstring issues for a while, this could be a multiweek absence for Adams. Fantasy teams should expect to not have him available for Week 16 or 17, and the Rams might be lucky if they get him back for wild card week, or even better, get the #1 seed and can rest him for a month before he plays again. Colby Parkinson had a big Week 15 and should be a strong Week 16 play in a more concentrated Rams passing game at Seattle.

Chicago Bears D'Andre Swift ran for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in a Week 15 win over the Cleveland Browns. He caught one pass for minus-2 yards.
Footballguys view: Swift got better as the game went on against a Browns run defense that has been wilting over the last two weeks. James Cook will take aim at them in Week 16, while Swift will be a solid RB2 play against the Packers next week after outplaying Kyle Monangai against Cleveland.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Brenton Strange caught one pass for 26 yards against the New York Jets in Week 15. He was targeted three times during the game.
Footballguys view: Strange was a big part of the pass offense at first when he returned from injured reserve, but he had a touchdown wiped off of the board last week, and didn't catch any of Trevor Lawrence's five touchdown passes this week. He was a Week 15 bust, but could still be in consideration for fantasy lineups next week at Denver because this offense has been prolific as of late.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson (calf) is active for the Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.
Link to storyChicago Bears QB Caleb Williams completed 17 of 28 for 242 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in a Week 15 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Link to storyThe Dallas Cowboys have declared DT Jay Toia, RB Jaydon Blue, DL Perrion Winfrey, OT Tyler Guyton and WR Jalen Tolbert inactive for Week 15.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. caught four passes for 66 yards and one touchdown against the New York Jets in Week 15. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Footballguys view: Thomas scored early in the game and hauled in a deep ball later on that reconfirmed the budding connection between him and a red hot Trevor Lawrence. Thomas will be a high ceiling WR3/Flex play against the Broncos. It's not exactly what you expected if you took Thomas in fantasy drafts this season, but it's better than what you thought you had for most of the season.
Green Bay Packers DL Micah Parsons (knee) suffered an apparent left knee injury in the third quarter of the Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos on a non-contact play. He immediately went down and grasped at the front of his left knee. He was helped to the locker room, and appears unlikely to return.
Footballguys view: The team seemed shaken as even the Broncos fans went silent after Parsons crumpled to the ground. The Packers defense will face the Bears in a crucial divisional matchup next week, but we should expect Parsons to be out, and we might not see him again until next season.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jakobi Meyers caught five passes for 71 yards against the New York Jets in Week 15. He was targeted seven times during the game.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB LeQuint Allen rushed for 11 yards on four carries against the New York Jets in Week 15. He also caught one pass for five yards during the game.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten caught one pass for 16 yards and one touchdown against the New York Jets in Week 15. He also rushed for seven yards on one carry during the game.
Footballguys view: The rookie also suffered a finger injury and didn't return. As Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke suggests, if Tuten misses time, we can expect Travis Etienne Jr. to play more going forward, including a few more touches per game. The Jaguars have two rough matchups against the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts, so a few more touches would help Etienne's fantasy value in those games.
Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (head) posted two receptions for 35 yards on four targets in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He left the game briefly due to a head injury, but he returned and finished up.
Link to storyKansas City Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster went without a reception on one target in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne caught three passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns against the New York Jets in Week 15. He also rushed for 32 yards on 12 carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Etienne was held in check as a runner, but turned each of his three targets into touchdowns against a woeful Jets pass defense that waved the white flag in this one. He'll be a strong RB1 play against the Broncos next week as the lead back for a peaking Jaguars offense.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton posted two receptions for 47 yards on three targets in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence went 20-for-32 for 330 yards and five touchdowns against the New York Jets in Week 15. He also rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown on five carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Lawrence was a golden ticket to the next round of the fantasy playoffs. He became the first player in NFL history to throw for five scores, and run for 50 yards and a score in a game. He has been a fantasy QB1 for the last four games with this performance for the ages. You'll need to have a very compelling option at quarterback to leave Lawrence on your bench when he goes to Denver next week.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice ended up with seven receptions and 51 yards on a game-high 11 targets in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Footballguys view: Rice took a huge hit from Tony Jefferson before the safety hurt Tyquan Thornton and got ejected from the game in an incident that almost started a brawl between the teams. Rice will still be a viable play next week, especially in PPR leagues, but his upside is down with Patrick Mahomes out due to a knee injury, even in a good matchup against Tennessee.

Tennessee Titans safeties Mike Brown (ankle) and Kevin Winston Jr. (hamstring) each left the Week 15 game against the San Francisco 49ers due to injuries, and each player is considered questionable to return.

Seattle Seahawks LB Derick Hall (hand) and OT Abraham Lucas (shoulder) left the Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts due to injuries. Both players are listed as questionable to return.

New York Jets WR John Metchie caught four passes for 25 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. He was targeted five times during the game.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints RB Devin Neal (hamstring) left the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring injury and he will not return. Neal had seven carries for 28 yards and a touchdown, and one catch for four yards on his only target, before departing.
Footballguys view: Neal was a good play as an RB2/Flex, but will only hold serve in lineups because he left early. The Saints were already down their third string back and replaced Neal with a committee, so there's no pickup for the Week 16 game against the Jets if Neal is unable to play.
New York Jets WR Isaiah Williams caught six passes for 53 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Link to storyNew England Patriots WR Stefon Diggs caught three of four targets for 26 yards in a Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Footballguys view: Diggs posted a 10-146 line on his old team in the first matchup this season, but the Patriots pass offense wasn't a major factor in this game. He has been in a three week fantasy slump now and probably won't be in lineups next week when he goes to Baltimore.

Houston Texans CB Derek Stingley Jr. (oblique) left the Week 15 game against the Arizona Cardinals due to an oblique injury, he was unable to return.

Green Bay Packers OT Zach Tom (knee) left the Week 15 game against the Denver Broncos due to a knee injury. He is questionable to return. OT Darian Kinnard took Tom's spot in the offensive line.
Link to storyKansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce registered seven receptions for a game-high 70 yards on nine targets in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Footballguys view: Kelce was a solid play in PPR leagues, but that might not matter when it's time to decide whether play him next week with Gardner Minshew throwing passes to him. The Chiefs are out of playoff contention, but do have a very good matchup for fantasy football against the Titans next week, so Kelce is still a consideration if he helped you get this far.

New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins caught four of eight targets for 41 yards in a Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry caught one of three targets for 18 yards in a Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Arizona Cardinals RB Bam Knight (ankle) rushed once for minus-2 yards in Week 15 against the Houston Texans before leaving in the first quarter with an ankle injury. He was unable to return.
Footballguys view: Michael Carter got the vast majority of the work in the backfield after Knight went out. He was productive enough against an elite Texans defense to merit a waiver pickup with a more manageable matchup against the Falcons coming up in Week 16.
New York Jets WR Adonai Mitchell caught six passes for 58 yards and one touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. He was targeted nine times during the game.
Footballguys view: Mitchell has been up and down the last few weeks, but we have had multiple ups and they have been high enough to swing fantasy weeks as a WR3/Flex. While it feels dicey to depend on a Jet in the fantasy playoffs, Mitchell has enough upside to consider against the Saints, especially in .5 PPR and nonPPR leagues.
Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals WR Andre Baccellia (neck) suffered a neck injury in Week 15 against the Houston Texans on a kick return. He was immobilized and carted off, but he was alert with full movement in all of his extremities. He was taken to a Houston-area hospital for further evaluation. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Sunday, Dec. 14 that he expects Baccellia will fly home with the team.
Footballguys view: Baccellia has played 18 career games since entering the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. He has mainly been a practice squad player for the Cardinals, who signed him in 2021. Injuries have earned him snaps on offense at times, but he's not a viable fantasy candidate.

New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson carried six times for 50 yards and caught all three targets for 27 yards in a Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Brashard Smith carried twice for just a single yard in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and he was not targeted in the passing game.
Link to storyNew York Jets RB Breece Hall rushed for 23 yards on 12 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. He also caught two passes for 14 yards during the game.
Footballguys view: This was the final blow for teams that had Hall as a lineup mainstay. It has been a long fall from last season, when Hall was going ahead of Christian McCaffrey in some fantasy drafts. He'll get to go to a new team in free agency and hopefully will have a chance to play in an offense that isn't the equivalent of swimming upstream.
Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer went without a reception or target in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
