Los Angeles Chargers WR Tre Harris caught four passes for 27 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. He was targeted five times during the game.
Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen caught four passes for 27 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Footballguys view: Allen was quiet even though the passing game was missing Quentin Johnston. As the Chargers offense has run into more resistance, Allen hasn't made as many impactful plays in recent weeks. He's only a low ceiling WR3/Flex heading into a matchup against the Colts. |

Los Angeles Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden II caught seven passes for 68 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6 but also lost a fumble during the game. He was targeted eight times during the game.
Footballguys view: Gadsden was actually a bigger part of the passing game with Quentin Johnston out than fellow rookie Tre Harris, who replaced Johnston in the lineup. Justin Herbert and offensive coordinator Greg Roman kept relying on Gadsden even though he fumbled in the first half. If Johnston can't play in Week 7, Gadsden is a viable streaming tight end against the Colts. |
Los Angeles Chargers WR Ladd McConkey caught seven passes for 100 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. He was targeted nine times during the game.
Footballguys view: McConkey's elusiveness after the catch created a big play that set up the game-winning field goal. He played a more central role in the passing game with Quentin Johnston out and should stay in Week 7 lineups against the Colts even if Johnston is back on the field. |
Los Angeles Chargers RB Hassan Haskins rushed for 14 yards on six carries against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. He also caught one pass for nine yards during the game.
Footballguys view: Haskins was plodding, and compared to Kimani Vidal's 138 total yards, he was practically standing still. He'll be the complement with Vidal as the lead back going forward. You can drop Haskins in typical leagues. |
Los Angeles Chargers RB Kimani Vidal rushed for 124 yards on 18 carries against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. He also caught three passes for 14 yards and one touchdown during the game.
Footballguys view: Congrats if you added Vidal instead of (or in addition to) Hassan Haskins on waivers last week. Vidal's superior burst showed out all day against the Dolphins, and gave the Chargers a balanced offense. He's a solid RB2 play with upside against the Colts next week, and until Omarion Hampton returns. This performance could also keep the Chargers from making a move to improve their backfield via trade. It was reported that Hampton will take longer than four weeks to return from his ankle injury, so Vidal's value could last for a while. |
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert went 29-for-38 for 264 yards and two touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6.
Footballguys view: Herbert's protection was a little better this week, and he was focused on throwing more quick, short passes. It was enough to put together his best fantasy game since Week 2 since he was facing a weak pass defense. Herbert goes up against a Colts defense next week that just gave up a 300+ yard game to Jacoby Brissett, and the Chargers could get left tackle Joe Alt and wide receiver Quentin Johnston back. |

Los Angeles Chargers S Elijah Molden (hand) suffered a hand injury during the Week 6 game and is considered questionable to return.

Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle), who was recently placed on the Reserve/Injured list, is expected to be sidelined for more than the minimum four weeks, according to multiple sources. However, it is not believed to be a season-ending injury.
Footballguys view: This gives Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal a longer window of potential fantasy relevance, but it also increases the chances that the team may make a move for a running back in the trade market. Hampton is worth carrying through his absence, but hopefully your league has injured reserve slots so he won't clog a bench spot. |
Los Angeles Chargers RB Hassan Haskins is expected to be the lead back for the team while RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) is sidelined, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. RB Kimani Vidal is also slated to see increased playing time until Hampton returns.
Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston (hamstring), who is listed as questionable, is trending towards not playing against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6, according to a source.

Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (rest) practiced in full on Friday and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Allen is only on the injury report because he took a vet day off on Wednesday. He's practiced in full since. He's been a volume-based WR2 so far this year, and there's no reason to view him any differently in a nice matchup against the Dolphins. |

Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston (hamstring) was limited in practice on Friday, Oct. 10, and is listed as questionable for Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins.
Footballguys view: Johnston didn't log a single full practice this week. If he's active, he'll have the opportunity to feast on a porous Dolphins secondary. His game is in the early slate on Sunday, so fantasy managers should have plenty of options if he's unable to go. Check back on Sunday morning for an update. |

Los Angeles Chargers OT Joe Alt (ankle), WR Derius Davis (knee), DL Da'Shawn Hand (groin), and G Trey Pipkins III (knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins. OL Jamaree Salyer (knee) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 10, and is listed as questionable. LB Bud Dupree (hamstring), WR Quentin Johnston (hamstring), and FB Scott Matlock (ankle) were limited in practice and are listed as questionable. Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Footballguys view: Johnston is off to a hot start this year, but this hamstring injury could slow him down. If Johnston plays in Week 6, there's a chance this injury limits his potential. That means we could see more from Ladd McConkey (who needs to get more involved anyway) and Keenan Allen. |

Los Angeles Charger OT Joe Alt (ankle) will not practice on Wednesday, Oct. 8, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers practice squad RB Kimani Vidal was signed to the 53-man roster Wednesday, Oct. 8. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. The team also placed RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) on the Reserve/Injured list.
Link to storyThe Chargers are signing Nyheim Hines to the practice squad after working him out today, a source tells ESPN's Kris Rhim.
Footballguys view: Hines was with the Chargers during training camp. With the position thin, Hines has a chance to play this week. With Omarion Hampton on IR with an ankle injury and Najee Harris done for the year, Hassan Haskins is the only running back on the 53-man roster. Kimani Vidal, who was elevated for the Week 5 game, reverted to the practice squad this week. Rookie Amar Johnson is also on the practice squad. We'll watch for more on this situation as the week progresses. |

Los Angeles Chargers RB Kimani Vidal reverted back to the practice squad Monday, Oct. 6, after being on the active roster for the Week 5 game.
Link to storyThe Chargers are placing running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) on IR, per head coach Jim Harbaugh. Hampton will miss at least the next four games.
Footballguys view: We had an idea the news wouldn't be great after Hampton was spotted wearing a walking boot on his left ankle after the Chargers' 27-10 loss to the Commanders. The Chargers were already dealing with a significant injury at running back after Najee Harris suffered a season-ending torn Achilles' tendon. Hassan Haskins is the only other running back on the team's 53-man roster, as the team still has Kimani Vidal, who was elevated for Sunday, on the practice squad. Rookie Amar Johnson is also on the practice squad. We'll see if other moves at the position are coming. |

The Los Angeles Chargers appear to have an injury concern with running back Omarion Hampton. According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, the rookie running back was spotted wearing a walking boot on his left ankle after the Chargers' 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders. "Omarion Hampton just left the locker room with a walking boot on his left ankle," Popper reported.
Footballguys view: Hampton's status for the Week 6 game versus the Miami Dolphins is now in question. After two big games in a row, Hampton regressed a bit against Washington, as he tallied 12 carries for 44 scoreless yards and caught six passes for 26 yards in what was a bad afternoon for Los Angeles' offense. The Chargers are already dealing with a significant injury at running back after the team lost Najee Harris for the season with a torn Achilles' tendon. If Hampton is forced to miss time, Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins are next men up. |
