Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent WR Mike Evans wants to do an analysis of all 32 teams on the free-agent market, but he still has interest in returning to the Bucs. 'I can't go out here and say, 'Oh, yeah. We're looking for a new team.' I mean, that hasn't been the mindset here,' Evans' agent Deryk Gilmore said. 'We basically just want to do an analysis. When you're making a business decision, you want to sit down, go through, do your checks and balances, make sure you evaluate everything you do, and then from there, when you're making a decision, you're not making an emotional decision.'

Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE David Walker (knee) expects to be ready for organized team activities (OTAs). 'It's getting close, I'm really close,' Walker said this week. 'I think I'll be fine. We have a great staff on our hand and they are going to get me right.' He tore his ACL the near end of practice in late July during a two-minute drill. He spent a lot of time in the film room during rehab, and he feels he is a better student of the game.

He was to receiver $125,000 each if he reached 40 catches, 50 catches, 400 receiving yards and 500 receiving yards. He ended up with 39 receptions for 371 yards, but he was inactive for the final four games. He received bonuses for all of the incentives.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Devin Culp, a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is heading into his third season, and he wants to factor into the team's plans in 2026, especially if impending free-agent TE Cade Otton isn't brought back. Culp recorded a 4.47-second time in the 40-yard dash, and he has the athletic traits to become a passing-game weapon. However, to date, his playing time has mostly been limited to special teams.
Link to storyTampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent WR Mike Evans is expected to play in 2026, but it is unlikely he will have a franchise tag slapped on him to prevent him from leaving via free agency. The thinking is that Evans would just elect to retire, rather than be forced to play in Tampa. There are no reports he is unwilling to return to Tampa, but he might choose to play for a team he feels is closer to winning a Super Bowl in what is likely to be his final year.

Link to storyTampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent WR Mike Evans felt better after this season than he did in the last few seasons and seems to be on track to continue playing, according to agent Deryk Gilmore.
Footballguys view: Evans missed seven games with a broken collarbone, but returned and caught six passes for a season-high 132 yards, including a 45-yard reception, in a late-season loss to Atlanta. He showed speed, quickness, and agility, and brought energy to the offense. But Evans caught only 30 passes and saw his NFL record-tying streak of 11 straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons come to an end. Evans will be an unrestricted free agent next month. If he does decide to play, will it be in Tampa Bay? Two years ago, Evans received interest from the Chiefs and Texans. He could draw interest again.

Indiana Hoosiers co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Chandler Whitmer was hired as quarterbacks coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Link to storyTampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but QB Baker Mayfield said he expects Evans to return to the team next season.
Footballguys view: There are rumblings out there that Evans will not return to the Buccaneers in free agency. That seems a bit odd because we can't imagine him playing for another team. However, things change in the NFL - even for long-time veterans like Evans. Coming off his first non-1,000-yard receiving season, Evans may be looking for a fresh start. He's not quite the player he used to be, but Evans could be in for a bounce-back season in 2026...in Tampa or somewhere else.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield fumbled 11 times during the 2025 regular season, which was tied for the most in the NFL.
Footballguys view: In the first half of the 2025 season in 2025, Mayfield looked like an MVP candidate. But he was hampered by left and right shoulder injuries and a knee injury down the stretch. The Bucs' playcalling also took a step backward in 2025, with Josh Grizzard not able to fill the void left by Liam Coen. The hope is that new OC Zach Robinson, who was serving as passing game coordinator and QB coach for the Rams when Mayfield arrived in Los Angeles late in the 2022 season -- when Mayfield had instant success -- will change things for the better.

Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson interviewed for the offensive coordinator vacancy of the Pittsburgh Steelers for a second time on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Footballguys view: Robinson is a Sean McVay disciple, but his offense did not pop with the Falcons. Perhaps that was the bad quarterback play, and it looks like the Steelers are quite interested. Running a McVay/Shanahan system, Robinson would emphasize wide-zone concepts and the ground game on offense.

Link to storyBaltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken will interview for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator spot Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Footballguys view: Monken, 59, spent the past three years as the Ravens offensive coordinator until head coach John Harbaugh was fired. Monken's ties to the Bucs are deep. He was the team's receivers coach/offensive coordinator under head coach Dirk Koetter from 2016-18. If there is a leader in the clubhouse for the Bucs job, Monken is it. But he also interviewed on Saturday for the Browns head coaching job.
Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson completed a virtual interview with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the same position on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Footballguys view: The Bucs are looking at more experienced offensive coordinators over up and coming stars. This is a make or break for Todd Bowles, so the team is looking for results now. Baker Mayfield was actually very good against Houston and Seattle before getting hurt against Detroit in Week 7, so whoever the team hires may be a success even if they aren't any better than the recently-fired Josh Grizzard.

Link to storyTampa Bay Buccaneers offensive assistant Tom Moore announced his retirement Thursday, Jan. 8.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is 'one name that could be of interest' to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if the Buccaneers to decide to move on from head coach Todd Bowles, according to Albert Breer of SI.com.
Footballguys view: Kubiak has made a name for himself as an offensive coach over the years with a few teams. He's the son of Super Bowl-winning coach Gary Kubiak, and his name carries a sterling reputation in NFL circles. The Buccaneers are trying to find more spark on offense, and Kubiak's West Coach (Shanahan) offense would provide just that.
