Free-agent PK Lucas Havrisik (Rams) was signed to the active roster of the Green Bay Packers Saturday, Oct. 11, with PK Brandon McManus (quadriceps) nursing an injury ahead of the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Footballguys view: As Profootballtalk.com noted, the status of McManus became a somewhat bizarre point of contention this week. After coach Matt LaFleur called the injury a "major concern," McManus said he plans to play. Special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia echoed that sentiment. And McManus still could be ready to go. The Packers are nevertheless preparing for the possibility he won't by devoting a second roster spot to a kicker. Fantasy managers should watch pre-game inactives to confirm McManus' status and have a backup plan in case. |

Green Bay Packers K Brandon McManus (quad) is a major concern for the team, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Footballguys view: It sounds like McManus may be a game-time decision (at best) for Week 6 against the Bengals. This injury could cause the Packers to get another kicker for the week. Against a bad Bengals defense, the kicker could be getting a lot of work on Sunday. |

Indianapolis Colts PK Spencer Shrader (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn medial collateral ligament during the Week 5 game, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Shrader, who entered Week 5 leading the NFL with 13 made field goals, sustained the injury during an extra point attempt in the second quarter of the Colts' 40-6 victory. The play resulted in a personal foul for roughing the kicker. The Colts have relied heavily on Shrader this season, as they have been one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL. No other kicker had more than 10 field goals entering Sunday. The Colts do not currently have another kicker on their practice squad. Expect them to work out free-agent kickers this week. |
Indianapolis Colts PK Spencer Shrader (knee) suffered a season-ending knee injury during the Week 5 game.
Link to storyUpdating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts PK Spencer Shrader (knee) did not return to the Week 5 game because of a knee injury.
Footballguys view: Shrader was hurt on an extra point in the first half against the Las Vegas Raiders. After the game, Colts coach Shane Steichen strongly suggested Shrader's injury was serious. "It doesn't look good, but I don't have the full update," he said. The Colts have relied heavily on Shrader this season, as they have been one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL. No other kicker had more than 10 field goals entering Sunday. |
Indianapolis Colts PK Spencer Shrader (leg) suffered an apparent lower-leg injury on an extra point in the first half of the Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He was able to limp off after a roughing the kicker penalty, but he was unable to put any weight on his leg. P Rigoberto Sanchez is handling kickoff duties in his absence.
Link to storyMinnesota Vikings PK Will Reichard misfired on his only field-goal attempt in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, while knocking through his three point-after attempts.
Link to storyFree-agent PK Justin Tucker (Ravens) has reportedly generated interest from several NFL teams. He is eligible to return from his 10-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy Nov. 11, and has been working out at the University of Texas, which is his alma mater.
Footballguys view: Tucker was released by the Ravens in early May, about three months after several massage therapists accused the veteran kicker of sexual misconduct. Upon his eligibility to return, we'll see which teams are interested. Tucker could be a fantasy factor no matter where he lands. If you need kicker help, monitor your waiver wire for Tucker in the near future. |

Link to storyNew York Giants PK Graham Gano (groin) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Sept. 27.
Footballguys view: Jude McAtamney will be the team's kicker in Week 4, not Younghoe Koo as some expected. The Giants will be starting rookie first round pick Jaxson Dart for the first time, so it's not a good week to play their kicker anyway. |

Free-agent kicker Younghoe Koo (Falcons) was signed to the New York Giants practice squad on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Footballguys view: With Graham Gano dealing with a groin injury suffered on Sunday in the pregame warmups against the Chiefs, the Giants add an experienced leg in Koo, who needed a fresh start after his struggles in Atlanta. We'll monitor this one in coming days, but it's reasonable to believe the Giants don't want to get caught short at the position again this week. |
