Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore (groin) is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Ben Johnson. Moore stayed overnight Monday at a Washington DC hospital to receive treatment for a groin injury.
Footballguys view: Luther Burden would get more work with the Bears if Moore is out of action. Day-to-day means Moore could be out there in Week 7. Let's monitor his status as the week of practice goes on. |

Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore was hospitalized after Monday night's game in Washington for what the team termed "precautionary medical attention," but the news is good today. Bears head coach Ben Johnson said today on ESPN 1000 that Moore is doing well. "It was precautionary. I think we got some good news on that. He should be coming back today, here, and I think he'll be day-to-day in the future. It was a groin deal that he was dealing with, and I think we're going to be OK," Johnson said.
Footballguys view: Moore caught three passes for 42 yards against the Commanders and played the entire game, and there was no indication that he was injured until the Bears announced after the game that he wouldn't be making the team flight home to Chicago. The 28-year-old Moore is second on the Bears with 19 catches for 215 yards this season. We'll follow up on this as developments warrant. |

During the game, Moore caught three passes (on five targets) for 42 yards. He also ran twice for 10 yards.
Footballguys view: As Profootballtalk.com noted, Moore took a couple of hard hits but did not appear to be seriously injured at any point during the game. The Bears have not provided any further details about the nature of the medical attention he needs. The 28-year-old Moore is second on the Bears with 19 catches for 215 yards this season. Footballguys view: As ESPN.com noted, Swift came into Week 5 averaging 3.3 yards per carry. Just like last season against the Commanders, Swift broke through against Washington with a season high rushing yards while finally generating the chunk plays (7.7yards per carry) the Bears' run game had been looking for. Chicago's lead rusher also came away with the second-longest reception of his career, a short pass that he took 55 yards down the Commanders' sideline for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Bears play the Saints in Week 7. |

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams is set to face the Washington Commanders in Week 6 on Monday, Oct. 13. He'll be working behind a new left ankle, as OT Theo Benedet makes his first career start at the position, and with OT Darnell Wright (elbow) questionable, rookie Ozzy Trapilo might start at right tackle.

Chicago Bears RB Kyle Monangai (thigh) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 11, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.
Footballguys view: The rookie was healthy going into the Bears Week 5 bye, but after a DNP on Thursday it looks like he'll play on Monday night. Monangai is the primary backup behind D'Andre Swift, and he's just looking for more of an opportunity to showcase his skill set. |
Chicago Bears TE Colston Loveland (hip) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 11, but is listed as questionable for Week 6.
Footballguys view: Loveland has yet to do much in his young pro career. He was injured a couple of weeks ago and had to miss time to get back on track. We still appreciate him in dynasty leagues, where a longer view is necessary. It would be nice to see him get more involved as his rookie season goes on. |

Chicago Bears RB Kyle Monangai (thigh) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 10.
Footballguys view: The Bears were on bye last week, making Monangai's lack of availability at their first practice concerning. But the rookie is back and will hope to stack another full practice on Saturday. The Bears play Monday night, and Monangai is likely to serve in his regular role as the preferred change-of-pace option behind D'Andre Swift. |
Chicago Bears TE Colston Loveland (hip) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 10.
Footballguys view: A limited practice is a good sign after Wednesday's DNP. Loveland will hope to get a full practice in on Saturday before Monday night's game in Washington. Coming out of the bye nursing an injury isn't ideal. Loveland was drafted while recovering from a shoulder injury and has picked up a few others since. Cole Kmet has been playing formidably, but the Bears would probably love to see their top-ten pick start contributing soon. |
Chicago Bears S Jaquan Brisker (quadriceps), DT Grady Jarrett (knee), RB Kyle Monangai (thigh) and OT Darnell Wright (elbow) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 9. CB Kyler Gordon (hamstring), OG Jonah Jackson (rib) and TE Colston Loveland (hip) were limited during practice. DE Austin Booker (knee), LB T.J.
