Baltimore Ravens WR DeAndre Hopkins said he wants to play at least one more season.
Footballguys view: The one-year, $5 million contract Hopkins signed last March expires when the new league year begins in 2026. With Jesse Minter as the new head coach, Hopkins' future with the club is uncertain at best. Hopkins was the Ravens' third option behind Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews. Hopkins' 37 targets were similar to Rashod Bateman (38) and Isaiah Likely (35) as he logged 22 catches for 330 yards and two touchdowns, career lows in nearly every significant receiving category. It's hard to justify a similar salary this year.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is expected to have contract extension talks with the Ravens this offseason, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo.
Footballguys view: This will be a situation to watch closely, as it took a long time for general manager Eric DeCosta to find common ground with Jackson (who does not retain an agent) during his last contract negotiation. Jackson is going to be a free agent in 2027 and an extension would make his cap hits more manageable over the next two years, but the team let his quarterback coach Tee Martin go, and it appears they also believe he was to blame for some of the team's underachievement even though John Harbaugh took the fall for the recent pattern of perennial disappointment.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry recorded his fourth season with at least 1,500 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns and 5.0 yards per carry in 2025, and Jim Brown is the only other play with two such seasons.
Footballguys view: Henry is still playing his best football, and that's likely to continue going forward. He can be the centerpiece of the Ravens new-look offense. Jesse Minter is the new head coach, and he's tasked Declan Doyle with running the Ravens on the offensive side of the ball. Doyle worked under both Sean Payton and Ben Johnson, so it will be interesting to see the type of offense he'll craft with guys like Henry and Lamar Jackson.

Link to storyBaltimore Ravens DT Travis Jones led the team with five sacks. However, head coach Jesse Minter is expected to address the pass-rush situation in the offseason, adding more pressure with perhaps multiple extra rushers. Minter didn't bring extra rushers often, as Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator, blitzing at just a 20.4% rate last season, third-lowest in the NFL.

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to hire Anthony Weaver as their defensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.
Footballguys view: Weaver, 45, returns to Baltimore after being the Dolphins' defensive coordinator for the past two seasons. This marks the third stint in Baltimore for Weaver, who was a DE for the Ravens from 2002 to 2005 and was Baltimore's defensive line coach from 2021 to 2023. Although Weaver will hold the title of defensive coordinator, new Ravens head coach Jesse Minter will call the defensive plays for Baltimore. Last season, Baltimore's defense ranked 24th in the NFL, which was only the third time in the past 25 years that the Ravens defense finished in the bottom half of the league.
Former Indianapolis Colts assistant Charlie Gelman was hired by the Baltimore Ravens to be their game management coordinator and defensive assistant Sunday, Feb. 1. He will replace Daniel Stern, who is expected to become the associate head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
Link to storyAdam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Baltimore Ravens are going to hire Chicago offensive coordinator Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator.
Footballguys view: The Bears did not have to allow Baltimore to interview Doyle since the job would technically be a lateral move, but Doyle will get to call plays in Baltimore, which was not on his plate in Chicago under Ben Johnson. Doyle was a Sean Payton protege in New Orleans and Denver, most recently as a tight end coach, before joining Johnson's staff as the offensive coordinator last year. It's hard to predict exactly how the Ravens offense under Doyle will differ from what we saw under new Cleveland head coach Todd Monken, but it could also include more play action passing and different foundational running game concepts after Ravens run game coordinator Travis Switzer left to join Monken in Cleveland. This will be Doyle's first playcalling gig, but he has gotten to learn under Payton and Johnson, so he has some good role models. Doyle was a big part of Caleb Williams progress in Chicago, and we should assume that played a big role in Baltimore hiring him to work with Lamar Jackson.

Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, Jan. 22, to become their new head coach.
Footballguys view: Reports indicate that Minter was a favorite of Lamar Jackson. Minter will work with the defense, but his plan for Jackson will be paramount for their success. To run the offense, keep an eye on Joe Brady (Bills) and Kliff Kingsbury (formerly of the Commanders).
Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady interviewed for the head coaching vacancy of the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: The Ravens are looking everywhere for their next head coach. Brady makes a lot of sense for them based on the work he's done with Josh Allen. In fact, Brady just taking over for Sean McDermott in Buffalo makes sense too.

Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter interviewed for the head coaching vacancy of the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Footballguys view: Reports indicate QB Lamar Jackson may like Minter, so he could become a favorite as Baltimore looks all over the place. They haven't hired a coach in some time, so it's wise for the team to consider all options. Minter might be a favorite here.
The Baltimore Ravens have completed an interview with Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz for their head coaching vacancy.
Footballguys view: The Ravens are leaving no stone unturned as they look for a new head coach. Schwartz has previous head-coaching experience, and he's known as a great defensive coordinator. He has interest from the Browns and the Ravens so far this offseason.
Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy completed an interview with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Jan. 11 for their head coaching vacancy.
Footballguys view: Nagy's first go round as a head coach with the 2018-21 Bears wasn't considered a success, but he did have a 34-31 record and make the playoffs twice with Mitchell Trubisky as his primary quarterback. The Chiefs offense hasn't been a smashing success since Nagy returned, but he still got a ring in 2022 and 2023.
Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula has a request from the Baltimore Ravens for their head coaching vacancy.
Footballguys view: Shula's defense hasn't been the strength of the team, but he has the Sean McVay pedigree and the Shula bloodline, as former Bengals head coach Dave's son and legendary Miami head coach Don's grandson. If he is able to bring Rams passing game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase (who is also interviewing for Ravens head coach) or offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur (who is interviewing for the Raiders and Cardinals head coach), it could end up being a great hire.
Los Angeles Rams passing specialist Nate Scheelhaase has a request from the Baltimore Ravens for their head coaching vacancy.
Footballguys view: Scheelhaase is the latest in the Sean McVay coaching tree to become a hot name during the firing/hiring cycle. The 35-year-old has only worked for the Rams - or any other NFL team - for two years, and he has no head coaching experience, so this would be a huge promotion. If Scheelhaase hits it off with Lamar Jackson, he could be a surprise contender for the job.
