Updating previous reports, New York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (neck, shoulder) sustained a stinger during the preseason game against the New York Jets Friday, Aug. 28, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
| Footballguys view: Tracy was evaluated and then cleared for a concussion. Before exiting, Tracy had 37 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Cam Skattebo, Najee Harris and Devin Singletary along with Tracy make up the Giants' backfield, so Tracy would have to see injuries strike above him on the depth chart to have a fantasy relevant role. |

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims (foot) sustained a bruised foot during the first quarter of the preseason game versus the Minnesota Vikings Friday, Aug. 28, according to head coach Sean Payton. He was taken to the locker room for evaluation and did not return to action.
| Footballguys view: Mims is an explosive playmaker at the wide receiver position, and he's an All-Pro return man for the Broncos. He doesn't get much work on offense, even though Mims seems to make plays anytime the team relies on him. Mims is behind Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, and Pat Bryant on the depth chart. He's competing with Troy Franklin to round out the position behind the top three. |

He's buried on the depth chart at the wide receiver position, and the team may just cut ties with the veteran. Smith-Marsette was a fifth-round pick out of Iowa back in 2021, and he's bounced around to six different NFL teams since then. He's mostly been a special teams player in the NFL. |

| Footballguys view: Cooper, a 2026 first-round pick out of Indiana, is known as a slot bully because of his run-after-the-catch ability. He needs to learn how to run the full route tree, but the potential is there for Cooper to be a dangerous playmaker. Williams, undrafted out of Illinois in 2024, is a return man who can flip the field with quickness and speed. Cooper should win the job, but Williams is not letting it go without a fight. Dynasty GMs should be invested in Cooper for the long-term outlook. |
