Atlanta Falcons OT Jake Matthews (ankle) is day-to-day with his ankle injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons CB Dee Alford had six tackles (four solo), three passes defensed, a sack, and an interception in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson carried the ball 19 times for 170 yards and a touchdown in a Week 6 win over the Buffalo Bills. Robinson also had six receptions (on eight targets) for 68 yards.
Footballguys view: The dynamic, explosive back dominated on Monday night, ripping off an 81-yard touchdown to get his night started. He finished with 170 rushing yards on 19 carries, tying a single-game high, and played a key role in the passing game, adding six catches for 68 yards. Robinson logged the most scrimmage yards (238) by a Falcons running back in a single game in franchise history and the second-highest total in the league this season en route to finishing the week as RB1 overall. The Falcons play the 49ers in Week 7. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London had 10 receptions for 158 yards and a touchdown during the club's Week 6 win over the Buffalo Bills. He was targeted 16 times.
Footballguys view: The Falcons were without two of their top three wide receivers in Darnell Mooney (hamstring) and Ray-Ray McCloud III (healthy scratch). McCloud's absence was a surprise. It forced the Falcons to rely heavily on two skill players: Robinson and Drake London, who combined for 89 percent of the team's yardage in the first half and came in with the highest percentage of their team's scrimmage yardage (57 percent) out of any duo in the NFL. Robinson finished the week as RB1 while London tied for WR1. The Falcons play the 49ers in Week 7. |
Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts had three receptions (on four targets) for 18 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.

CB Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring, knee) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. CB Natrone Brooks (concussion, shoulder) fully participated in practice but is listed as questionable. LB Leonard Floyd (non-injury) and DT David Onyemata (non-injury) did not practice but is not on the injury report. LB Kaden Elliss (non-injury) and OT Jake Matthews (non-injury) were limited during practice but are not on the injury report. WR KhaDarel Hodge (groin), CB A.J. Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) did not participate in practice Saturday, Oct. 11, and has been ruled out for Week 6.
Footballguys view: After a Week 5 bye, there was some optimism that Mooney could return to the field this week. That's not going to be the case as Mooney will miss Monday's game against the Bills. Drake London is the top wide receiver for the Falcons, and without Mooney we should see more targets for Casey Washington. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) will not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 9. Head coach Raheem Morris said Mooney is considered day-to-day.
Footballguys view: No surprise here as Mooney was unable to log a single practice this week. Mooney picked up an early preseason injury, which caused him to miss the first week of the season. He suffered this hamstring injury in Week 4 and hasn't logged a practice since. With the emergence of Kyle Pitts in this offense, it's increasingly more difficult to justify rostering Mooney. He's droppable in shallow formats, especially as we navigate through bye weeks. |

Atlanta Falcons CB A.J. Terrell (hamstring) will return to practice this week, according to head coach Raheem Morris. He has not played since suffering his injury in Week 2.
Footballguys view: Terrell is a boost for an undermanned Falcons secondary. As SBNation noted, Terrell has been Atlanta's best corner for the past several years and gives the team a much better matchup option against the top Bills receivers, whether that's Keon Coleman or Khalil Shakir. Dee Alford, who stepped in for Terrell in the second half of Week 2, has filled in admirably but was beaten repeatedly by Deebo Samuel in Week 4. Terrell's status for the game is likely to be a game-time decision, but he's trending in a very positive direction after missing the past two games. |

Atlanta Falcons CB A.J. Terrell (hamstring) is hopeful of returning from a hamstring injury after the team's bye in Week 5, head coach Raheem Morris said Monday, Sept. 29.

Darnell Mooney's injury issues continued Sunday, as the Falcons ruled out the wide receiver late in the third quarter due to a hamstring issue. Atlanta coach Raheem Morris didn't have an update on Mooney after the game.
Footballguys view: Mooney was quickly ruled out of the 34-27 win. He had one catch for 15 yards in the first half. Mooney missed all of training camp with a shoulder injury. He returned for the Falcons in Week 2. Entering Sunday's game, Mooney had six catches for 64 yards with no touchdowns this season. Last season, he had 64 catches for 992 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. Further testing on Monday should tell us more, but for now, the list of receiving assets standing by to work behind Drake London includes Ray-Ray McCloud, Casey Washington, David Sills, and Jamal Agnew. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) caught one pass for 15 yards before leaving the Week 4 game against the Washington Commanders because of a hamstring injury.
Footballguys view: It could have been a bounceback game for Mooney after a slow and injury-marred start, but we'll never know. We might not get information about his injury after the team's bye next week, so don't consider him an essential hold in short bench leagues. Michael Penix did improve this week, in a sign that Mooney could have value if he can get and stay healthy. |

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts caught five passes for 70 yards and one touchdown against the Washington Commanders in Week 4. He was targeted five times during the game.
Footballguys view: Pitts has been getting a consistent target load and starter snaps every week. The easy Washington matchup this week got him into the strong fantasy start column, and he should stay there after the bye for at least as long as Darnell Mooney's hamstring injury sidelines him. Pitts has been a fantasy success so far for the first time since his rookie year. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London caught eight passes for 110 yards and one touchdown against the Washington Commanders in Week 4. He was targeted 10 times during the game.
Footballguys view: London did everything the offense asked of him and was a big part of why the Falcons won. He reeled in a deep ball, caught a touchdown, and had a big improbable catch near the sidelines at a key moment in the second half. You should feel good about the improvement in his connection with Michael Penix going into the bye, although the Falcons won't get to face Washington every week. |
Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries against the Washington Commanders in Week 4.

Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. went 20-for-26 for 313 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Washington Commanders in Week 4.
Footballguys view: Penix got right against the Washington defense in a good sign for his ability to shake off a bad game. The Commanders pass defense has been suspect, which is good news for Justin Herbert and the Chargers next week as they are coming off of a tough loss including an injury to left tackle Joe Alt. It's not clear that Penix is a safe start against good defenses, but he doesn't face any for a while, so he might be worth carrying through his bye in 1QB leagues. |
Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) left the Week 4 game against the Washington Commanders due to a hamstring injury, and he is considered questionable to return.
Footballguys view: Michael Penix bounced back against the subpar Washington pass defense, but Mooney did not benefit because of his injury. The Falcons are on bye next week, but Mooney probably isn't worth carrying in short bench leagues. If Mooney misses extended time, Kyle Pitts and Drake London will be the clear focus of the Atlanta passing game as they were in Week 4. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 26, but is not on the injury report for Week 4.
Footballguys view: No concern here as this is an excused rest day. Mooney had some frustrating drops last week, but still pulled 11 targets. He's shaking the rust off after missing almost all of preseason with a shoulder injury. Expect him to operate as the secondary receiver behind Drake London. He's a WR4 in fantasy with appealing upside. |

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 26, and is not on the injury report for Week 4.
Footballguys view: There were never any indications that Pitts' injury was severe enough to impact his availability on Sunday. He's in the borderline TE1 discussion this week. There isn't enough volume to make him a plug-and-play option. If you start him, you're hoping he can find pay dirt or break off a chunk play. |

Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. is not on the hot seat and will start in Week 4, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
Footballguys view: Penix is a young quarterback and there are going to be struggles. Kirk Cousins came into the game last week for an ineffective Penix, but he's not going to take the job away from the second-year pro. |
Atlanta Falcons PK John Parker Romo misfired on both of his field-goal attempts in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.

Atlanta Falcons WR Ray-Ray McCloud ended up with two receptions for 20 yards on five targets in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts ended up with four catches for 39 yards on six targets in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.
Footballguys view: The Panthers haven't done a great job covering tight ends so far this season, but they limited the damage done by Pitts, who has had an expanded passing game role this season. He's a high floor TE1 against Washington next week. |

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London posted five receptions for 55 yards on eight targets in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.
Footballguys view: London's numbers taking off thanks to an aggressive downfield passing quarterback in Michael Penix Jr hasn't come to fruition. The Falcons haven't been able to stretch the field in wins or losses, but face a Washington pass defense next week that has allowed big numbers to the Packers and Raiders passing games the last two weeks. |
