Patriots | Rhamondre Stevenson not practicing Thu Oct 30, 02:54 PM
New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) is not participating in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: We'll see if Stevenson can get out there on Friday for at least a limited practice. TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings would work in the Patriots backfield if Stevenson missed time.

Free-agent TE Jody Fortson (Chiefs) has been medically cleared to play again and is ready to sign with a team.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young (ankle) is practicing for a second straight day ahead of Week 9.
Footballguys view: Things did not look good with Andy Dalton last week. If Young plays in Week 9, it's a boost for WR Tetairoa McMillan.
Bryce Young player page
Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder) is not participating in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: That's two days missed this week for Schultz. He's not trending in the right direction for Week 9. The Texans could use Harrison Bryant and Dalton Keene against the Broncos on Sunday if Schultz misses the game.

Free-agent WR Jalen Brooks (Cowboys) and TE Messiah Swinson (49ers) were signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad Thursday, Oct. 30.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) is preparing to start for the team, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Footballguys view: It's a Monday night game against the Cowboys in Week 9, and Murray is likely to make a return after a two-game absence. Murray faces a Cowboys defense that is soft, so he could be a better-than-expected starter in his return. With the way Jacoby Brissett looked as the starter, there's pressure on Murray to be more efficient and effective as a passer. Trey McBride had three touchdowns with Brissett in two games and only one touchdown with Murray in five games.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) said he is 'ready to roll' for the Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and head coach Pete Carroll said Bowers is back to playing at full speed.
Footballguys view: Coming out of the bye, it will be good to see Bowers out there. His return to the field is a boost for Geno Smith. Now that he's back out there, Bowers is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.
Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase has recorded 53 targets in the three games that QB Joe Flacco has started, the most targets in a three-game span in the last 20 years.
Footballguys view: In Week 8, Flacco targeted Chase a whopping 19 times but that was down from the 23 targets he had in Week 7. So long as Flacco is under center, he's going to keep feeding Chase - much to the delight of Fantasy GMs.

Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (ankle) took all the first-team reps in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29, and he said that his ankle feels 'amazing' ahead of the Week 9 game against the Detroit Lions. 'I'm ready to go,' McCarthy said. 'I feel like myself again. I feel like I have those mobility things that I was concerned about going into last week and the prior weeks.'
Footballguys view: McCarthy has been practicing in full, and he feels confident in his mobility. Being able to take off to run is part of his game, so it's safe to assume he should look as good as he can (right now). He's been mostly bad so far starting for the Vikings, but McCarthy and O'Connell studied together to try and get the simple things right. We'll see what kind of progress he can make the rest of this season provided he stays healthy.
Arizona Cardinals LB BJ Ojulari (knee) was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Oct. 30
Link to storyCarolina Panthers QB Mike White was signed from the practice squad to the active roster Thursday, Oct. 30. OL Brady Christensen (Achilles) was placed on the Reserve/Injuredl list.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara has only been targeted three times on screen plays through eight weeks after multiple seasons of 16 targets on screen plays.
Footballguys view: Kamara is not the same player he used to be, and he's not getting used on screens the way he used to be either. Fantasy GMs have noticed the difference, and that's why Kamara is more of an RB2/flex play than he is a set-if-and-forget-it RB1 like in the past.

Link to storySan Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (oblique) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Kittle caught 4-of-5 targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in San Francisco's Week 8 loss to the Texans. He's in line for another TE1 performance in Week 9 against the Giants.
George Kittle player page
New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough will start in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams, and head coach Kellen Moore said Wednesday, Oct. 29 that the plan is for Shough to be the starter for the rest of the year.
Footballguys view: The Saints selected Shough in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft with the idea he could be their starter. He didn't begin the season as the starter, and Spencer Rattler got enough time to try and prove himself (but he struggled). Now, it's time to see if Shough can flash or if the team needs to start thinking quarterback early in the 2026 NFL draft.
San Francisco 49ers QB Mac Jones (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Link to storyMac Jones player page
San Francisco 49ers WR Jauan Jennings (ankle, rib, shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Jennings is the no1 receiver for the 49ers with so many injuries at the position. We'll see if it's Mac Jones or Brock Purdy under center in Week 9 against the Giants later in the week.
Jauan Jennings player page
San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (toe) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Purdy may be back this week against the Giants. He's limited on Wednesday, so we need to see him get more involved during the week. Mac Jones is ready to start again if Purdy has to miss more time.
San Francisco 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars WR Dyami Brown (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29 due to a shoulder ailment.

Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (ankle) was able to take part in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29, and he was listed as a limited participant.
Footballguys view: Perhaps the Rams will ramp up Nacua in practice as the week goes on. Sean McVay said Nacua would be good to go after the team's Week 8 bye, and here we are. Expect him out there against the Saints.

Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp (heel) was able to participate in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Kupp is not the same player he used to be, but he's out there as a reliable veteran target for Sam Darnold. He also might be used on a trick play here and there. Fantasy GMs should consider Kupp a 'what the heck' flex.
Cooper Kupp player page
New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Olave dealt with this ankle injury last week, even missing Wednesday's practice, but was playing in Week 8. He's ready to go for Week 9 against the Rams, and Olave is a WR2 for Fantasy GMs.
Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (chest) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Link to storySam Darnold player page
New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson (neck) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: We'll see Johnson catching passes from Tyler Shough going forward. Rookie quarterbacks usually lean on tight ends, so that could give Johnson a bit of a boost. He's a borderline TE1 for Fantasy GMs.
Juwan Johnson player page
Seattle Seahawks S Julian Love (hamstring), TE Eric Saubert (calf) and WR Dareke Young (quadriceps) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 29. LB Derick Hall (oblique), LB DeMarcus Lawrence (rest), NT Jarran Reed (wrist) and DE Leonard Williams (rest) were limited participants, while QB Sam Darnold (chest), OG Christian Haynes (pectoral), WR Cooper Kupp (heel), FB Robbie Ouzts (ankle) and CB Devon Witherspoon (knee) were full participants.

New Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Kamara's ankle injury has been bothering him for quite some time now. He's playing with the injury, but his effectiveness is not the same it used to be. Kamara is more of an RB2/flex play for Fantasy GMs.
Alvin Kamara player page
Los Angeles Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (calf) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29 due to a calf issue.
Footballguys view: McConkey is back in the good graces of Fantasy GMs after scoring in three of the last four games. We like him as a WR2 with upside against the Titans on Sunday.
Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (non-injury), PK Matt Gay (back), WR Terry McLaurin (quadriceps), LB Von Miller (non-injury), DT Jer'Zhan Newton (ankle) and OT Laremy Tunsil (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29. Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: The Commanders play against the Seahawks on Sunday night. All reports indicate Daniels will be out there for his team. That means he's a QB1 for Fantasy GMs in Week 9.
Kansas City Chiefs RB Brashard Smith (toe) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Smith has big-play ability as a runner and receiver, but only Fantasy GMs in dynasty formats should be holding him now. He's no3 on the depth chart, and there's a chance the Chiefs add a running back in the trade market.
Kansas City Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Washington Commanders TE Zach Ertz (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown (illness) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 29 due to an illness.
Footballguys view: It's an illness for Brown, so he should be out there later in the week. With Rashee Rice back, Brown is splitting time with JuJu Smith-Schuster and not much of a fantasy factor.

Houston Texans OG Laken Tomlinson (non-injury), TE Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder), DE Dylan Horton (knee) and DE Denico Autry (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29. Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: After a big Week 7 (9 catches, 98 yards) Schultz caught 2-of-3 targets for 24 yards in the Texans' Week 8 win over the 49ers. He has yet to score a touchdown this week and is facing a Broncos defense in Week 9 that blanked Jake Ferguson (1 target, 0 catches).
