Falcons | Michael Penix limited Thursday Thu Oct 30, 06:01 PM
Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Penix is supposed to be getting the first-team reps this week, but so far he's been limited. A full participation on Friday would mean he's good to go for Week 9. Penix is a high-end QB2 for Fantasy GMs.
Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Pitts is a low-end TE1 if he plays against the Patriots on Sunday. Check back to see what he can do on Friday.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (hip) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: We'll feel better if London can get a full practice in on Friday. We'd like that for QB Michael Penix too. Against the Patriots on Sunday, London should be considered a WR2/flex option for Fantasy GMs out there.
Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.

Denver Broncos TE Nate Adkins (knee), WR Marvin Mims (concussion) and CB Patrick Surtain II (pectoral) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 30. C Alex Forsyth (ankle) and S P.J. Locke (neck) were limited during practice. LB Dre Greenlaw (quadriceps) fully participated in practice.

Denver Broncos WR Marvin Mims (concussion) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: It doesn't seem like Mims is going to play against the Texans in Week 9. There's nobody like him on the roster, but without Mims we might see a few more touches for RJ Harvey.
Tennessee Titans OG Blake Hance (back, shoulder), LB Arden Key (quadriceps), TE Chig Okonkwo (foot), WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring), DT Jeffery Simmons (hamstring), LB Jihad Ward (non-injury) and S Xavier Woods (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 30. DE James Lynch (shoulder) and WR Bryce Oliver (knee) were limited during practice. Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard (neck) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Neck injuries are tricky to deal with. Pollard should be out there in Week 9, but we could see Tyjae Spears outproduce him. That makes Pollard a 'what the heck' flex candidate.

OT Ajani Cornelius (knee), LB DeMarvion Overshown (knee), CB Shavon Revel Jr. (knee), Og Tyler Smith (knee), S Juanyeh Thomas (illness) and DT Perrion Winfrey (back) were limited during practice. Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Watson returned to the field last week for the first time in the 2025 season. He caught all four targets for 85 yards in the Packers' Week 8 win over the Steelers. Against the Panthers in Week 9, Watson could produce like a WR3/flex play.
Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs (calf) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Jacobs continues to be limited by this calf injury. He's played with this injury over the last couple of games, so Fantasy GMs can look to Jacobs as an RB2.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Flacco is working to stay as the starter for the Bengals. This shoulder issue is problematic, and it does cast some doubt as to whether or not he's going to be out there in Week 9. Jake Browning will start if Flacco misses the game.

Link to storyMiami Dolphins CB Jason Marshall Jr. (hamstring) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Oct. 30.
Link to storyMinnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: McCarthy has been practicing in full, and he feels confident in his mobility. Being able to take off to run is part of his game, so it's safe to assume he should look as good as he can (right now). He's been mostly bad so far starting for the Vikings, but McCarthy and O'Connell studied together to try and get the simple things right. We'll see what kind of progress he can make the rest of this season provided he stays healthy.
Indianapolis Colts DE Samson Ebukam (knee), WR Anthony Gould (knee) and DT Grover Stewart (foot) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 30. Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Downs is good to go for the game against the Steelers on Sunday. With his speed and big-play ability, Downs makes for a nice flex play against a Steelers defense that is not so very good.

Chicago Bears WR Rome Odunze (heel) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: Odunze did not practice on Wednesday, and he's limited on Thursday. That means he's trending in the right direction, but he should still be considered questionable by Fantasy GMs looking for starting lineup help. If he's out there against a bad Bengals defense, Odunze is a WR2 with upside in Week 9.
Tennessee Titans WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring) was not seen at practice on Thursday, Oct. 30.

Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore (groin, hip) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: This is the same practice plan Moore has been going through over the last two weeks. If he's full on Friday, Fantasy GMs can look to Moore as a WR3/flex option against the Bengals in Week 9.

Chicago Bears TE Cole Kmet (back) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 30.

Chicago Bears RB D'Andre Swift (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: This is different from what we've become used to with Swift as he deals with this groin injury. He has been getting in limited work on Thursdays. Now, we have to see what he can do on Friday. Kyle Monangai would get the start if Swift has to miss time. With a hapless Bengals defense coming up, Fantasy GMs need to be dialed into this situation.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Stevenson can get out there on Friday for at least a limited practice. TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings would work in the Patriots backfield if Stevenson missed time.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young (ankle) is practicing for a second straight day ahead of Week 9.
Footballguys view: Things did not look good with Andy Dalton last week. If Young plays in Week 9, it's a boost for WR Tetairoa McMillan.
Bryce Young player page
Houston Texans TE Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder) is not participating in practice Thursday, Oct. 30.
Footballguys view: That's two days missed this week for Schultz. He's not trending in the right direction for Week 9. The Texans could use Harrison Bryant and Dalton Keene against the Broncos on Sunday if Schultz misses the game.

Free-agent WR Jalen Brooks (Cowboys) and TE Messiah Swinson (49ers) were signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad Thursday, Oct. 30.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) is preparing to start for the team, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Footballguys view: It's a Monday night game against the Cowboys in Week 9, and Murray is likely to make a return after a two-game absence. Murray faces a Cowboys defense that is soft, so he could be a better-than-expected starter in his return. With the way Jacoby Brissett looked as the starter, there's pressure on Murray to be more efficient and effective as a passer. Trey McBride had three touchdowns with Brissett in two games and only one touchdown with Murray in five games.
Kyler Murray player page
Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) said he is 'ready to roll' for the Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and head coach Pete Carroll said Bowers is back to playing at full speed.
Footballguys view: Coming out of the bye, it will be good to see Bowers out there. His return to the field is a boost for Geno Smith. Now that he's back out there, Bowers is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.
Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase has recorded 53 targets in the three games that QB Joe Flacco has started, the most targets in a three-game span in the last 20 years.
Footballguys view: In Week 8, Flacco targeted Chase a whopping 19 times but that was down from the 23 targets he had in Week 7. So long as Flacco is under center, he's going to keep feeding Chase - much to the delight of Fantasy GMs.
