As the Pittsburgh Steelers wait for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision, they are also keeping an eye on Kirk Cousins' situation with the Atlanta Falcons. Appearing on the Saturday morning edition of SportsCenter, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Cousins is "at least" on Pittsburgh's "radar" at the moment even though Rodgers remains the team's preferred choice.
Our view: Assuming Rodgers isn't in the mix, Pittsburgh, with Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Skylar Thompson on the depth chart, would fit Cousins' criteria of allowing him to start. Fowler acknowledges the Steelers would have to offset some of Cousins' guaranteed money, but the Falcons can save $27.5 million against their 2025 cap if he's traded after June 1. The Steelers haven't indicated a hard deadline for Rodgers to show up, but having him on hand when they report to training camp makes sense.
On Tuesday, the Steelers will conduct the first of only six 2025 OTA practices. Barring a sudden and unexpected turn, quarterback Aaron Rodgers won't be there.
Our view: While it's not impossible, chances are Rodgers won't be signed by tomorrow. The question is whether he will show up for any upcoming OTAs over the next two weeks. The Steelers have nine offseason practices before training camp. Without Rodgers, the quarterbacks will be Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson, and rookie Will Howard. While Rodgers being the Steelers QB this fall is still the most likely outcome, we'll be watching closely until we get resolution.

Tight ends are one of the most frustrating positions in fantasy football. You’ve got your difference-makers up top, and then a very flat list of contributors beyond that. The key is to identify those league-tilting scorers before they break out. And while Brock Bowers and Trey McBride have already ascended atop the list, there’s been an influx of young talent coming into the league lately, reshaping the landscape as we know it. No longer is Travis Kelce the guy worth paying up for. And George Kittle, Mark Andrews, Evan Engram, Zach Ertz, and other stalwarts are starting to age out. This creates a unique opportunity to buy low on some promising young players while the former superstars still enthrall other managers.
Hitting on a young and elite tight end will theoretically provide you with a decade-plus of production. Tight ends usually take longer to develop from the college game to the pros. But their peak doesn’t typically hit until age 28. And they can maintain production well into their 30s. Grading on that curve means this top tier of tight ends will hopefully provide elite output for the next ten years or so. Factoring in that longevity and the positional advantage you’ll receive, these are players worth moving mountains for.
There’s no surprise here with Brock Bowers and Trey McBride atop the list of dynasty tight end rankings. In early best balls drafts, they’re being drafted as the TE1 and TE2, 30 spots ahead of the TE3, George Kittle. Bowers is just 22, and McBride is 25. With most elite tight ends peaking in their late-20s and maintaining production through their 30s, both players are incredibly safe to acquire.
Bowers gets the edge in dynasty rankings because of his age and rookie-season production, but McBride might have the better short-term profile. Last year, McBride led all tight ends with a blistering 29.3% target share. Only five wide receivers pulled a higher target share in 2024. Arizona’s passing game is centered around McBride. And his targets are layered throughout every level of the offense, providing a mix of easy gimmes and high-value downfield targets. Bowers had a similar 2024 in Las Vegas, working as the passing-game focal point. With a new coaching staff and the addition of Ashton Jeanty, he may come up short of last year’s position-leading target total. But an improved offensive environment with Geno Smith should allow for more scoring opportunities and increased efficiency. More than three years younger, he gets the edge in dynasty rankings over McBride. Additionally, he was an immediate producer, whereas it took McBride some time to find his footing in the NFL.
Of course, we’ve seen other young tight ends flash early in their career before falling down the ranks. It took Evan Engram six years to match his rookie-season production. After logging over 1,000 yards as a rookie, Kyle Pitts has come up short of 700 yards every year since. Sam LaPorta and Dalton Kincaid had very promising rookie seasons before cooling off in Year 2. There’s risk any time you’re holding onto players atop the rankings in dynasty. But Bowers and McBride have a clear path to volume-heavy roles in the near future, good prospect profiles, and NFL production. Their value should remain relatively insulated. But rather than paying up for these tight ends, I like looking for cheaper options with similar upside in the next tier…
Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram (shoulder) may see a limited workload during offseason workouts because he is recovering from a shoulder injury.
Our view: The Broncos signed Engram to a two-year, $23 million deal to serve as a "Joker" -- an elite pass-catching TE or RB -- in Sean Payton's offense. A first-round pick of the Giants in 2017, Engram had 114 receptions for Jacksonville in 2023. He was on pace for 89 catches last year when he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 9. He'll be limited to save wear and tear on that shoulder, but there's no reason to believe he won't be ready for full duty come Week 1.
Cincinnati Bengals WR Jermaine Burton has 'matured' and 'in a good spot mentally and physically,' according to recent comments made by Joe Burrow.'I think he's stepped up this year so far. Has taken it very seriously. Has matured, it seems like. Based on the conversations that we have had, he's in a good spot mentally and physically. And he's been working hard, which is exciting to see,' Burrow told Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com.
Our view: Burrow's comments come just days after head coach Zac Taylor offered similar praise, telling reporters that the second-year man has attacked practice the right way this year. As USA Today suggested, if Burton is back on track and reaching for some of that early-round potential, the pool of receiving talent around Burrow will be even deeper. It's a situation worth monitoring, especially for Dynasty investors.

Denver Broncos LB Dre Greenlaw (calf, quadriceps) will not participate in offseason workouts or minicamp but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Our view: Greenlaw missed most of last year because of a torn Achilles suffered in the 2023-season Super Bowl, and there have been injury issues since. Last year, he had a strained calf; he suffered a strained quad early during this offseason. This report further confirms what head coach Sean Payton told reporters in May: Greenlaw will be ready for training camp and the start of the season.
Denver Broncos LB Alex Singleton (knee) may be a limited participant during offseason workouts because he is not fully recovered from the torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered during the 2024 season.
Our view: Singleton missed the final 15 games last season with that ACL injury. But his recovery is on schedule, and a cautious approach during OTAs makes sense.
Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels said he has added some muscle this offseason.
Our view: As USA Today's Bryan Manning suggested, one of the biggest knocks on Daniels ahead of the 2024 NFL draft was his size. While Daniels stands 6-4, his 200-pound frame led to concerns that his style of play would put him at risk. Daniels quickly allayed those concerns, leading the Washington Commanders to a 12-5 record while delivering a QB5 fantasy finish as a rookie. After the season ended, Daniels talked about finding ways to improve. "The main thing I'll say this offseason is bulking up a little bit more," Daniels said. "Putting on some more armor." Mission accomplished.
