Ravens | Keaton Mitchell feeling good    Mon Jun 2, 08:47 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell said his knee is feeling as good as it did before he suffered his torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Footballguys view: Mitchell, who averaged 8.4 yards per carry on 47 runs in his rookie year, has been impressive in early workouts. With Derrick Henry leading the way and Justice Hill coming off a career year, there aren't too many more offensive snaps for other running backs in Baltimore. But Mitchell has proven he doesn't need too many snaps to make a significant impact with his big-play ability. He could have an immediate impact in the return game, as he averaged 31.2 yards on his five returns last season.

The Ravens are among the best of the best in terms of front office talent. With a proven eye for talent, Vega is on track to one day be a general manager in this league.

Ravens | Zay Flowers catching passes    Sun May 25, 09:19 AM

Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers (knee) posted a video on social media that showed him catching passes from QB Lamar Jackson.

Footballguys view: Earlier this month, Ravens HC John Harbaugh said the knee injury Flowers suffered last season did not require surgery. Flowers was injured in the last game of the regular season, and his absence was felt in the postseason. He will be the team's no.1 wide receiver again, and Flowers is coming off back-to-back 100 target seasons (and his first 1,000-yard season in 2024). Fantasy GMs see Flowers as a WR3 with upside in 2025.

Ravens | Derrick Henry not thinking about future    Tue May 20, 12:29 AM

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry said he is focusing on this upcoming season and will not say if the recent extension he signed will be his last contract.

Footballguys view: Henry's two-year extension is worth $30 million. It kept Henry from becoming a free agent at the end of this season and rewarded him with the biggest deal ever given to a running back over 30. "I think it's just focus on this year and then focus to continue to get better year after year that I'm here -- that's always going to be my focus," Henry said. "I love football, I love playing. I know people look at my age, but I don't really try to focus on that. I just focus on, 'How can Derrick Henry be better, how can Derrick Henry help the Ravens get to where they want to get to?'" Henry, 31, has not shown any signs of slowing down. Last season, his first with the Ravens, he ran for 1,921 yards, the most by a running back 30 or older in NFL history.

Ravens | Derrick Henry the king of yards after contact in 2024    Fri May 16, 12:53 AM

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry ran for a league-high 909 yards after contact during the 2024 regular season, according to Pro Football Reference.

Footballguys view: Henry is pretty much a Mack truck between the tackles...or anywhere on the field. When he builds a head of steam, Henry is extremely difficult to bring down. With a new contract extension signed this week, Henry is set to lead the way on the ground for the Ravens again. We should see Henry get around 300 carries again this year after a monster 2024 with 325 carries, 1.921 yards, and 16 rushing touchdowns.

Ravens | Derrick Henry agrees to extension    Wed May 14, 01:46 PM

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with the Ravens Wednesday, May 14, worth $30 million. Henry is guaranteed to receive $25 million over the next two seasons.

Footballguys view: It is the largest deal in NFL history for a running back over 30 years old. Henry is 31 years old and coming off a phenomenal first season in Baltimore, having compiled 1,921 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on a career-high 5.9 yards per carry across 17 regular-season games. He added 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 19 catches. He became the first player in NFL history with multiple seasons of 1,900-plus rush yards. Henry, who signed a two-year contract with the Ravens last year, had been set to become a free agent after this season before agreeing to this new extension. Fantasy investors were already all in on Henry, who is going as RB6 in early best-ball drafts. He's RB7 on the initial Footballguys 2025 Draft Projections.

Ravens | Baltimore Releases PK Justin Tucker    Mon May 5, 05:04 PM

Ravens released kicker Justin Tucker. After drafting kicker Tyler Loop, the organization continues to insist it is a "football decision."

Footballguys view: The team might insist it's a football decision, but Tucker has been accused of inappropriate behavior by 16 massage therapists from eight different Baltimore spas and wellness centers between 2012 and 2016, covering Tucker's first five seasons in the NFL. Tucker has publicly disputed the allegations twice, calling the accusations "unequivocally false." The NFL has been investigating the matter. Meanwhile, Loop finished his college career with the highest field goal percentage (83.75 percent) in Arizona history, and he made a program-record 62-yard field goal against Houston in 2024. Loop is versatile; he can handle kickoffs and was Arizona's primary punter in 2020.

Ravens | No surgery for Zay Flowers    Mon May 5, 12:08 AM

Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers (knee) did not need to undergo offseason surgery on his injured knee and is making good progress in his rehab, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Footballguys view: "He was doing a little dance in the weight room this last week and said he's feeling great," Harbaugh said of Flowers. "His knee's back. He did it with rehab." Flowers was injured in the 2024 regular-season finale, which kept him sidelined for Baltimore's two playoff games. Flowers had a career-high 1,059 receiving yards in his second season and averaged 14.3 yards on 74 catches, becoming the first Raven to make the Pro Bowl at wide receiver. Flowers opens as WR34 on the Footballguys 2025 Fantasy Football Draft Projections.

Ravens | Justin Tucker done in Baltimore?    Mon Apr 28, 12:42 AM

Baltimore Ravens PK Justin Tucker is facing an 'uncertain' future with the Ravens following the selection of PK Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The team is unaware of the timetable for the investigation of Tucker, who has been accused of sexual misconduct, and has publicly stated they will wait for the investigation to conclude before making a decision. Per ESPN's Jamison Hensley, it's still unclear whether Loop will compete with Tucker for the job, or if the 'expectation' is for Loop to be Baltimore's kicker in 2025.

Footballguys view: Known for one of the strongest legs in this draft, Loop has converted six of nine attempts from 50-plus yards, including making a 62-yarder last season. At the NFL scouting combine, Loop hit 13 of 14 field goal attempts (93.3 percent) and finished by making a 60-yarder. Tucker, 35, is a seven-time Pro Bowl kicker, but he is coming off the worst season of his 13-year career. He missed 10 total kicks last season. Nobody should be drafting Tucker without resolution here.
