Detroit Lions CB Terrion Arnold was released Monday, June 29.
| Footballguys view: Arnold, who faces four counts each of kidnapping and assault that could bring a life sentence, had his bond set at $1 million Monday. The state asked the judge to require Arnold to wear a GPS tracking device, but his attorneys argued that he would not be able to play football with such a device. That won't be an immediate issue. The Lions selected Arnold in the first round of the 2924 draft. His release leaves a major hole at the cornerback spot for the Lions, as he was scheduled to start on the outside opposite D.J. Reed. |

S Darnay Holmes, a free-agent addition, was on the field a lot during OTAs with Bowman missing, and second-round draft pick Avieon Terrell could have a spot open up as a result of Bowman's slow recovery.

He was traded to the Titans before the 2024 season, but he only played 12 games over two years with the team due to injuries, and he was released in March. The Chiefs invested a 2026 first-round pick in CB Mansoor Delane, but still had a need at the position after parting ways with Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson. |

He is expected to compete for a starting job, with DBs Julius Brents and Storm Duck in the mix, as well as Christopher Johnson, Darrell Baker Jr. and Marco Wilson in the mix.
