Chiefs | Travis Kelce loses weight Sat Jun 14, 09:38 AM
Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce did not participate in optional organized team activities earlier this week but he will be in attendance for mandatory minicamp next week. He has told people close to him that he lost approximately 25 pounds this offseason, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp after receiving a second opinion on his injured shoulder.

Cleveland Browns WR Cedric Tillman is a 'locked-in starter' when healthy, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic.
Link to storyDenver Broncos RB RJ Harvey could have a 'situational role' in the offense this season, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com.
Link to storyFree-agent RB Cam Akers (Vikings) agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints Friday, June 13, according to a source. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Akers participated in the team's minicamp this week on a tryout basis. He joins Alvin Kamara, Kendre Miller, Devin Neal, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the running backs room. Akers, 25, spent last season with the Texans and Vikings. Between the two teams, he rushed for 444 yards and two touchdowns on 104 carries and added 14 catches for 68 yards and three touchdowns. Akers is unlikely to cut into Kamara's workload, but he could move into the rotation behind the starter. We'll watch for more when camp opens. |

New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins (undisclosed) was present for offseason workouts but did not participate in drills.

Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. has stood out during OTAs, according to tight ends coach Christian Z. Jones. 'The guy catches everything, tracks the ball well and really adjusts to the ball in the air,' Jones said.
Footballguys view: Fannin could be on the field a lot this year, along with stalwart David Njoku, limiting the number of three wide receiver sets - which is the main way Diontae Johnson can get on the field. The passing game could have a pulse if Joe Flacco starts, but don't expect him to remain the starter all year as the Browns will want to see what they have in draft picks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. While Fannin is worth stashing in dynasty leagues, it's difficult to see him mattering in redraft leagues. |
New York Jets RB Breece Hall could be the 'No. 2 option' in the passing game, in the opinion of Zack Rosenblatt.
Footballguys view: Hall has fallen from the top five of 2024 drafts to the third round of 2025 drafts, largely because of the suggestion by head coach Aaron Glenn that there will be a three-headed backfield with Hall, Braelon Allen, and Isaiah Davis. He also said today that he was playing through a "pretty serious" knee injury last year, but one that did not require surgery. So it's possible we still haven't seen him return all the way to form after a 2022 ACL tear. If Hall can separate from the younger backs and become the clear lead back again, he could be one of the best picks of the draft, but if he doesn't, he might not even be startable. While this is an optimistic report, it might not be difficult to be the second option in the Jets passing game this year with lackluster options at wide receiver behind Garrett Wilson. |
Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones has performed well during the mandatory minicamp this week and has picked up the offense very well, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Don't scoff at the possibility of Jones having fantasy value this year. He was QB10 a few years back with the Giants on the strength of his running ability, and he'll have a lot better receivers than he had back then. Jones might have also benefitted from a few months to learn from QB guru Kevin O'Connell when he was with the Vikings. |

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin is the team's No. 2 receiver at this point, according to wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni.
Footballguys view: The Steelers passing game is not a good place to look for hidden gems, although if there's going to be one, it's likely Austin. He has the speed to take short targets delivered on time and accurately from Aaron Rodgers to the house, and he can benefit on his deep routes from safety attention on DK Metcalf. He's worth a late round pick in best ball leagues. |
Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid showed more confidence as the offseason went on, according to general manager Brandon Beane.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook said he hopes to receive a contract extension and wants to remain with the team for a long time. General manager Brandon Beane said he has talked with Cook several times this week and expects Cook to report for training camp.
Footballguys view: Cook showed up for OTAs, so we don't have to worry about a holdout here. His low RB1 value was based in part on a high touchdown rate, but he is being drafted as an RB2 and the Bills offense is still likely to be one of the highest scoring units in the league. Cook is a safe pick at his current ADP. |
Seattle Seahawks TE Mitch Van Vooren was released on Friday, June 13.
Link to storyBuffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid was a standout performer in practice on Thursday, June 12, and has 'worked his tail off' during the offseason, according to general manager Brandon Beane.'He's been here the whole time. I felt like I ... probably was a little over-critical (of his performance in 2024). I wasn't trying to be, but felt like maybe I could have done a better job (of talking about his last season). He's been here, he's worked his tail off. He's one competitive dude,' Beane told WGR Sports Radio 550.

Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin added five pounds to his frame this offseason and played faster with a much greater awareness within each play' this spring, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Link to storyNew England Patriots WR DeMario Douglas 'looked at home' working out of the slot this spring and was Drake Maye's favorite receiver in the final two practices of the late spring, according to Evan Lazar of the team's website.
Footballguys view: Douglas has been the favorite target of Drake Maye in OTAs, and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels made fantasy stars out of slot receivers in New England in the past. Stefon Diggs is currently the highest drafted Patriots receiver coming off of an ACL tear, and Douglas is available in the late rounds. That could change as the summer goes on. |
DeMario Douglas player page
New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave has suffered four concussions since entering the NFL but said he is not worried about his injury history.
Footballguys view: He might not be, but fantasy players are letting the #1 target for the Saints fall to the fifth round (or later) of drafts in part because of his injury history. Lack of trust in Spencer Rattler or second round pick Tyler Shough to make Olave a consistent fantasy presence could also be dragging down Olave's ADP. |
Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (knee) told reporters on Thursday, June 12, that he received full clearance to practice on his surgically repaired knee from the team's medical staff right before the start of training camp. McCarthy also added that his knee feels 'stronger than ever.'
Footballguys view: This will be one of the most important storylines to watch in camp and the preseason. McCarthy and the Vikings offense has a wide range of outcomes, hinging on how ready the second year player is ready to pilot the offense after missing almost all of 2024. He was reportedly on the verge of pushing Sam Darnold to start as a rookie before suffering the season-ending knee injury, so we should expect the more optimistic side of the outlook, but we'll be watching the reports out of camp closely. |
Washington Commanders WR Noah Brown (undisclosed) is scheduled to undergo an MRI after being carted off the field during practice Wednesday, June 11, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Footballguys view: We're still waiting for the results here. The team traded for Deebo Samuel to be the #2 receiver, but also gave Brown almost $2.5 million guaranteed on his one-year deal to return and be the #3 receiver. Any time he misses will give 2024 third round pick Luke McCaffrey and 2025 fourth round pick Jaylin Lane a chance to shine. Both have had good offseasons to date and should have momentum going into training camp. Veterans KJ Osborn and Michael Gallup are also vying for roster spots at wide receiver. |

Green Bay Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd played only one game last season due to multiple injuries but told reporters on Thursday, June 12, that he has been 100% for 'some time now.'
Footballguys view: Lloyd's health and performance in camp and the preseason will be a big part of sorting out who we need to target as the player who would benefit the most in fantasy leagues if Josh Jacobs misses times. Lloyd is the most talented, and the Packers liked him enough to take him in the third round last year. Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks both went undrafted when they entered the league, but they performed well for the team down the stretch last year and complement each other well, with Brooks playing on passing downs. The Packers might be forced to keep four backs, and if they don't expect whomever they release to be claimed on waivers before Week 1. |
Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer enjoyed a 'great offseason,' according to head coach Pete Carroll.'We started out going heart to heart with him to understand what we're all about. And he embraced it and took it as well as anybody could take the challenge of bringing it day in and day out. He had a great camp,' Carroll told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Footballguys view: Mayer has a second round pedigree and could still matter in fantasy leagues, but won't this year without an injury to Brock Bowers. There's a remote possibility that he is traded before the season, but he could be very useful to Chip Kelly and the new regime in two tight end sets and gives the Raiders more personnel set versatility. He's only a dynasty stash in deep and tight end premium leagues. |

New York Jets RB Breece Hall revealed to reporters during mandatory minicamp that he played through a 'pretty serious' knee injury during the 2024 season. He added that he feels fine now and did not need to undergo surgery to correct it.
Link to storyLas Vegas Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty won't be the only running back the team relies on, according to head coach Pete Carroll. 'I love having multiple guys play,' Carroll said. 'I'm not relying on one guy, you know.' Asked how the carries would be divvied up, Carroll said the RBs would make the decision with their play.
Link to storyNew York Jets WR Malachi Corley has a long way to go to before making an impact for the team, according to head coach Aaron Glenn. 'We have a ways to go to really try to figure out exactly where we're going to place him because he's been in-and-out,' Glenn said. 'That's just what it is.'

Link to storyFree-agent TE Patrick Murtagh (Jaguars) participated in the Denver Broncos rookie minicamp this week on a tryout basis.

Denver Broncos WR Pat Bryant was 'very, very impressive' during mandatory minicamp, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports.
Footballguys view: Bryant was a surprise third-round pick to some, but his skill has flashed early at Broncos camp. The rookie from Illinois can run routes precisely, and he couples that with hands, body control and concentration. While Bryant does not win with speed, his savvy makes him as pro ready as a rookie receiver can be. We'll see Bryant compete for a spot in the pecking order behind Courtland Sutton with guys like Devaughn Vele, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims. |
Arizona Cardinals RB Trey Benson told the team's website that he added seven pounds of muscle since last season. He also noted that he explosiveness metrics have improved noticeably.
Footballguys view: Benson is a powerful player who wins at the point of contact and keeps his feet moving to pick up more yards. The Cardinals have James Conner as their lead back, but HC Jonathan Gannon said if Benson takes the jump from year 1 to year 2 "I think we have two starting backs." |
Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele (undisclosed) did not participate in mandatory minicamp with an undisclosed injury but will be a full-go for training camp, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Footballguys view: Vele has been standing out at OTAs, but he missed all of mandatory minicamp. Courtland Sutton is the lead receiver, but the Broncos need to find a no.2 receiver opposite of him. Vele will compete with guys like Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims to establish a depth chart at the position. |
New York Giants WR Malik Nabers is 'progressing' in his recovery from the toe injury that lingered throughout last season, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
Footballguys view: Good news for Giants fans and Fantasy GMs here. Nabers has dealt with this toe injury since college, and it bothered him at times last year. Now, even though bothered by this toe problem, Nabers had a line of 109-1204-7 as a rookie. Nabers is projected to get over 100 catches this year, and that makes him a top-5 fantasy receiver this season. |
Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders took a series of snaps with the second-team offense during 11-on-11 drills this week and continued a strong spring. He threw a short touchdown in red-zone drills. On the play, he manipulated multiple linebackers by moving his eyes to his left before returning to his right and finding an open window to drive a pass to TE Brenden Bates in the end zone.
Footballguys view: We're trying to not get too excited about minicamp work, but it's exciting to think of what Sanders can do at the pro level. Sanders was a fifth-round pick, but it's not outlandish to think he's the best quarterback on the Browns roster. He's got a lot to prove, and Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel are there to compete for the starting job. It's a bit of a mess (understatement of the year), but Sanders is shining with his opportunities. Stay tuned. |
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Darnell Washington was compared to Marcedes Lewis by QB Aaron Rodgers.
Footballguys view: Washington is a big body like Lewis, and he can take up a lot of space because of it. Entering his third pro season, Washington is set to work as the no.2 tight end for the Steelers behind Pat Freiermuth. |
Darnell Washington player page
Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton was called the 'total package' by offensive coordinator Greg Roman. 'You don't see a lot of guys find a hole like he's doing right now,' Roman said.
Footballguys view: Hampton is a player who can play on all three downs. He's a powerful runner with a smooth stride, and Hampton can wear down a defense as the game goes on. In addition to what he can do as a runner, Hampton is a good receiver out of the backfield. We'll see how it unfolds this year with Hampton splitting time with Najee Harris. |
Las Vegas Raiders WR Dont'e Thornton Jr. received snaps with the first-team offense during practice Tuesday, June 10.
Footballguys view: Keep an eye on Thornton in dynasty formats. The fourth-round pick out of Tennessee (Oregon transfer) has a fine size/speed combination. If the depth chart were released today, the rookie would likely be no.4 behind Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, and fellow rookie Jack Bech. At this time, Thornton is a field-stretcher with a limited route tree. |
Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III (undisclosed) has missed time this offseason because of an injury but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach Ben Johnson.
Footballguys view: Burden is an exciting rookie prospect with some Deebo Samuel to his game. The second-round pick from Missouri can take short passes and turn them into long gains. He will try to find a spot in the pecking order with DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. Add in Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland at the tight end position, and you can see how targets are going to be spread around. |
Chicago Bears TE Colston Loveland (shoulder) is still recovering from a shoulder injury, and head coach Ben Johnson would not say if Loveland will be a full participant when training camp begins.
Footballguys view: Loveland was arguably the best tight end in the 2025 NFL Draft. He can fly down the field and is a threat in the middle of the defense. When healthy, Loveland can be Johnson's version of Sam LaPorta...and that should get the attention of every Fantasy GM out there. Loveland is a TE2 with upside this season splitting time with Cole Kmet. |
Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins has been impressive in minicamp and is 'pushing for a starting role,' according to ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime, who adds that the rookie 'could clinch that spot by the second week of training camp.'
Footballguys view: Nico Collins is the WR1 for the Texans, and veteran Christian Kirk is there to be the no.2 receiver for now. Set to hit free agency in 2026, Kirk is not a long-term option for the Texans. That means Higgins, with his impressive size/speed combination, could get more involved as the season goes on. |
San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (Achilles, knee) participated in every phase of voluntary OTAs and the mandatory minicamp, and he even took reps during team drills, which was rare among the team's established stars, per ESPN's Nick Wagoner.
Footballguys view: Good news for the 49ers here. Everyone knows McCaffrey is a stud who can be the best back in the league when healthy. It's that staying healthy part that is unknown. McCaffrey says he feels 'great' after being dogged by injuries in 2024. |
Christian McCaffrey player page
Los Angeles Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden II has been impressive during minicamp, according to ESPN's Kris Rhim, who writes that the rookie 'projects to be a key piece' in LA's offensive attack. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman remarked that he thinks Gadsden will 'ascend quickly.'
Footballguys view: Gadsen is a tight end with freakish athletic ability. A fifth-round pick out of Syracuse, Gadsen is tough to cover at the linebacker level. Right now, Gadsen is the no.3 tight end for the Chargers behind Will Dissly and Tyler Conklin. We appreciate Gadsen in dynasty formats, but his path to production this year has some roadblocks. |
Free-agent RB JaMycal Hasty (Patriots) recently worked out for the Houston Texans, according to a source.

Free-agent TE Kevin Foelsch (Eagles) signed with the Kansas City Chiefs Wednesday, June 11. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyTennessee Titans WR Colton Dowell (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 11.
Link to storyFree-agent TE Seth Green (Cowboys) recently worked out for the New Orleans Saints.
Link to storyCarolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (leg) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 11, because he was kicked in the leg during practice Tuesday, June 10. Head coach Dave Canales said McMillan may return to practice Thursday, June 12.
Footballguys view: This is a great opportunity to remind you it's June. We're still in the lighter stage of workouts for the offseason. Carolina's decision to sit McMillan is neither surprising nor alarming. This is true of the vast majority of players being held out of workouts this time of year. The Panthers finish out their mandatory minicamp with a final practice on Thursday. It would be great if McMillan participates. Also, fantasy investors shouldn't lose any sleep if he doesn't. We'll follow up as needed. |
San Francisco 49ers QB Kurtis Rourke (knee) is not expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Link to storySan Francisco 49ers WR Jauan Jennings (calf) is not participate in the mandatory minicamp but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Footballguys view: With the timetable for Brandon Aiyuk's return from last year's torn ACL still uncertain, a cautious approach with Jennings makes sense. Coming off his most productive campaign as a pro, Jennings and Ricky Pearsall are expected to be the team's top receivers heading into Week 1. In case you missed it, Jennings set career highs in targets (113), receptions (77), receiving yards (975), and touchdowns (6) in 2024. He heads into the summer with a WR37 Average Draft Position and a Round 7 price. |
Jauan Jennings player page
San Francisco 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall (hamstring) is not participating in the mandatory minicamp this week, but head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Pearsall should be ready for the start of training camp.
Footballguys view: With Brandon Aiyuk likely sidelined at the start of the 2025 season after last year's torn ACL, Pearsall and Jauan Jennings are projected as the Week 1 starting wide receivers. That being the case, a cautious approach with Pearsall's hamstring seems wise. Pearsall finished his rookie campaign with 31 receptions for 400 yards and three touchdowns. He ended the season on a high note, hauling in 14 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns over the final two games. That late surge shouldn't be lost on fantasy investors, who'll find Pearsall available as WR41 in Round 8. |
