| Footballguys view: As we've seen in recent years, the NFL prefers to wait to suspend players for off-field incidents until after the legal system has concluded its process, which can take years. Ward opened last season as a starter for the Texans, but missed almost half of the season and the playoffs. The team traded for Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and has Calen Bullock and Jalen Pitre youthfully ascending at safety, so Ward is not essential if he does have to sit out at some point in 2025 because of this. |

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills CB Maxwell Hairston (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in practice on Wednesday, June 11, and did not practice on Thursday, June 12. According to general manager Brandon Beane, Hairston is receiving treatment on the injury and expected to be ready for the start of training camp next month.
| Footballguys view: Hairston was presumably drafted to match with the speedy receivers the Bills will have to face in the playoffs. We'll be watching to see if he's ready for the open of camp and can stay healthy so he can suit up for the highly anticipated season opener against Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins and the rest of the Baltimore Ravens. |
