Buffalo Bills WR Marquez Stevenson (foot) will be sidelined for 'weeks' with a foot injury, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
Footballguys view: Stevenson was trying to make the team as a depth receiver. However, camp reports indicated he was moving to secure a spot as the primary return man on special teams. Isaiah McKenzie, Khalil Shakir, and Tavon Austin will continue battling for the returner job in training camp. |

Buffalo Bills WR Jamison Crowder (undisclosed) was scheduled to be a limited participant during practice Monday, Aug. 1.
Footballguys view: Crowder can be the slot receiver for the Bills this year. He is going to compete (when healthy) for that position with WR Isaiah McKenzie. in the high-powered Bills offense, their slot position has some deep flex appeal. |

Buffalo Bills DT Tim Settle (knee) did not participate in practice Monday, Aug. 1, because of knee soreness.

Buffalo Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie has 'taken a definitive step up' in his performance, according to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, and Buscaglia believes McKenzie could beat out WR Jamison Crowder for the starting slot receiver role.
Footballguys view: McKenzie is a gadget player, but he could earn a larger role with a strong performance in camp and the preseason. Crowder is his main competition for the slot position, a spot vacated by Cole Beasley. If McKenzie won the slot job in Buffalo that would be worthy of 'what the heck' flex consideration. |

Buffalo Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie is going to be 'a BIG part' of the Bills' offense this season,' according to 13WHAM ABC's Dan Fetes.
Footballguys view: The slot role in Buffalo's offense is up for grabs, but it was McKenzie who got the majority of the first team reps so far in camp. McKenzie actually outproduced Cole Beasley when Beasley was out last year. It's time move McKenzie up on late round target lists in PPR leagues. Fifth-round rookie Khalil Shakir has also had a good start to camp, so this could get more complicated if that trend continues. The one sure thing is that Jamison Crowder's stock is not on the rise. |

Buffalo Bills WR Gabriel Davis has done enough during his time with the team and this offseason to make the team 'very comfortable with him being a solid No. 2 receiver,' according to NBC Sports' Peter King.
Footballguys view: If you're looking for evidence that Davis is overrated at his ADP, this item won't qualify. Many have cited Davis being behind Emmanuel Sanders last year as a reason to doubt him this year, but from all outward indications, the team believes he has earned the starter spot, and the fantasy leap that will come with it. |

Link to storyBuffalo Bills CB Tre'Davious White (knee) will open training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, while he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: White is a shutdown corner and maybe the most important player on the defense. We'll be monitoring the situation as the Bills host the high-powered Rams offense in Week 1. |

Buffalo Bills OG Rodger Saffold (ribs) will open training camp on the Non-Football Injury list after injuring his ribs in an automobile accident.
Footballguys view: Saffold is projected to be a starter but it's his first year with the team, so they need him to get back on the field to mesh with his new teammates. |
Buffalo Bills S Jordan Poyer has arrived at training camp and is expected to practice Sunday, July 24, even though he still wants a new contract.

Buffalo Bills WR Jamison Crowder is the frontrunner for the slot receiver job, in the opinion of Vic Carucci of WGRZ.com.
Footballguys view: The Bills should have Crowder in the slot, and he's an upgrade over last year's slot receiver Cole Beasley. However, WR Isaiah McKenzie and rookie RB James Cook could be lined up in the slot as well. Expect the Bills to have plenty of different packages featuring all three players from the slot. He may not be the WR3 he was earlier in his career with Washington or the Jets, but Crowder has at least 'what the heck' flex value on one of the league's most explosive offenses. |
Jamison Crowder player page
Buffalo Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie could be limited to 'more of a specialty role' in the offense, in the opinion of Vic Carucci of WGRZ.com.
Footballguys view: McKenzie has done a good job growing as a player in his time with the Bills. On the field, he's a gadget player with plenty of explosion to his game. We expect the Bills to continue to use him that way out of the slot and the backfield. |
Isaiah McKenzie player page
Buffalo Bills WR Gabriel Davis, who is listed at 210 pounds but played last season around 220, reportedly weighs 227 pounds after working out this offseason, according to his trainer.
Footballguys view: The additional size means Davis should be able to rip more passes away from defenders this year. He's already a deep-shot specialist for QB Josh Allen. That will continue this year, making Davis a deep flex option in 2022. |

Dan Pompei, of The Athletic, reports that the Rams offered edge rusher Von Miller more per year than the Bills, but with only two years guaranteed. Miller valued the extra guaranteed year more because of his age, according to Pompei
Footballguys view: The story details Brandon Beane's chase of Miller going back to 2019, including a bid to trade for Miller last year. Miller and the Broncos chose the Rams instead, and the rest is history. Josh Allen and other Bills recruited Miller and the two had speculated about joining forces in the past. The Cowboys tried to land Miller, whose infant son Valor lives in the Dallas area, but only offered him the five year, $70 million deal that Randy Gregory turned down to join the Broncos. The Bills season has a "Super Bowl or bust" feel with Miller on board. |

Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs leads the NFL with 330 targets since joining the Bills in 2020, and he ranks third in receptions and fourth in receiving yards in that span.
Footballguys view: There is no doubt that Diggs and QB Josh Allen have a great connection. Diggs and Allen have combined for 2,760 yards and 18 touchdowns on 230 receptions over the last two seasons. We could see Diggs as the no.1 receiver in fantasy football this season, and he's a top-5 WR1 for Fantasy GMs in any format. Diggs has a current ADP of WR5 (2.02) in 12-team PPR leagues. |
Stefon Diggs player page
Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary forced 21 broken or missed tackles on his 203 carries in 2021, according to Sports Info Solutions. That total was tied for the seventh-best mark in the league.
Footballguys view: The Bills turned things over to Singletary last year down the stretch, and he helped Fantasy GMs win championships in 2021. Zack Moss is still there to split time with Singletary, but the Bills also added a new weapon in rookie RB James Cook. We should see Moss take a backseat to the rookie in the pecking order. Cook is great in space and can make defenders look silly. He should serve as a pass-catching back for the Bills offense, making Singletary a RB3/flex option this season. His current ADP of RB34 (7.09) reflects the addition of Cook. |

Maddy Glab, from BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has worked this offseason on his pass placement. "Main thing is limiting turnovers....then ball placement on some of the underneath routes allowing guys to get more YAC." Allen said.
Footballguys view: The Bills have a high-powered offense, but last year they did not rank very high in terms of yards after the catch. Getting more room to run for WRs Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Jamison Crowder (and others) will make this dangerous offense even more explosive in 2022. Allen's accuracy is more than fine, 63.3 percent last year (69.2 percent the year before that), but getting the ball on target to his receivers in stride where they can do more after the catch is the next step he needs to help get the Bills over the top. |

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook will likely be the team's third-down back in 2022 and could line up as a receiver in two-back sets, while also getting early-down touches to take pressure off projected starter, RB Devin Singletary, writes The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia.
Footballguys view: Cook could have a big role for the team as a rookie. He's a player with a ton of speed who can take advantage of defenders - and make them look silly - in the open field. His current ADP is RB46 (10.05) in 12-team PPR leagues, and we like him as a handcuff to Singletary with flex appeal for Fantasy GMs in 2022. |

Buffalo Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie has an early lead for the slot receiver position, in the opinion of beat writer Alaina Getzenberg.
Footballguys view: The Bills have WRs Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis on the outside, but McKenzie has to beat out free agent veteran Jamison Crowder for the slot position. Per this report, it sounds like he's got a leg up in the competition. We'll see which one wins Cole Beasley's former job or if the Bills want a slot wide receiver by committee (SWRBC?) in 2022. |
Isaiah McKenzie player page
Buffalo Bills RB Zack Moss could be on the roster bubble as second-round pick RB James Cook will cut into Moss' potential opportunities.
Footballguys view: The Bills will hope that a team that liked Moss in the 2020 draft process (when Buffalo took him in the third round) ends up with a need at running back and tosses them a late round pick. Moss hasn't been able to stay healthy and hasn't been that effective when he is on the field. |
Zack Moss player page
Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary is the leader for the starting running back position.
Footballguys view: Singletary was a fantasy RB1 down the stretch and in the playoffs. Second round pick James Cook should play on passing downs, but that would still leave enough for Singletary to be a fantasy RB2 and a great value at his current ADP. He's an attractive pick at a low cost. |
Devin Singletary player page
Buffalo Bills WR Jamison Crowder looked 'solid' during offseason work and 'might have found a good fit' in Buffalo, according to ESPN.com's Alaina Getzenberg.
Footballguys view: Crowder should be able to bounce back from a down season in his final year with the Jets in 2021. Now with the Bills, Crowder takes the place of Cole Beasley in the offense and will work underneath routes with WRs Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis on the outside. Crowder has some deep flex appeal in PPR formats, and he's got a current ADP of WR69 (14.06) in 12-team PPR leagues. |

Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox (undisclosed) was practicing at mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 14, after not participating in organized team activities because of an undisclosed injury.
Footballguys view: Knox is the leading pass-catcher at the tight end position for the Bills. They did add O.J. Howard this offseason in free agency, but he's not looked dynamic as a receiving threat in Bills OTAs and minicamp. We like Knox as a low-end TE1 for Fantasy GMs this season...right around what he did last year as the no.7 fantasy tight end in standard-scoring leagues. |
Dawson Knox player page
Joe Buscaglia, from The Athletic, reports Buffalo Bills TE O.J. Howard has not looked like a dynamic pass-catching weapon during team minicamp.
Footballguys view: Dawson Knox is the starting tight end for the Bills, and he's a playmaking weapon who can attack the middle of the field. Howard is a big-bodied veteran who could get some work as a reserve tight end when the team is near pay dirt in the red zone. The former first-round pick (2017) has never done much as a receiver during his pro career in five seasons with the Buccaneers. Now in Buffalo, he'll be a reserve at best. |

Link to storyFree-agent WR Tavon Austin (Jaguars) is signing with the Buffalo Bills Thursday, June 2, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Austin is a gadget player who hasn't done much no matter where he's been with four teams over the last four seasons. Perhaps the Bills will use him as a return man in 2022. |

Buffalo Bills LB Andre Smith has been suspended six games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs.

Link to storyBuffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox (undisclosed) will sit out organized team activities due to an unspecified injury, head coach Sean McDermott said on Tuesday, May 24.
Footballguys view: Knox has talent, but some injuries have prevented him from playing up to his full potential. McDermott noted Knox should be fine for training camp, so that's all that matters. Fantasy GMs know what Knox can do when healthy, making him a low-end TE1 with upside in 2022. |
