Baltimore Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (neck) did not participate in practice Friday, July 26, because of a neck issue, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (illness) did not participate in practice on Friday, July 26, due to illness. Jackson missed the first three training camp practices due to an illness and left practice early upon returning to work on Wednesday.
Footballguys view: This has now risen to the "probably nothing, but should be monitored" level. Josh Johnson is the backup in Baltimore and will be getting extra work with the first team while Jackson and the Ravens get this figured out. Stay tuned. |

Updating an earlier report, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (illness) departed practice midway through on Wednesday, July 24, as he continued to deal with symptoms relating to an illness that kept him out of the first three days of practice. The Ravens have a day off on Thursday, July 25.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson returned to practice on Wednesday, July 24, after missing three days due to an unspecified illness.
Footballguys view: Jackson is back out there just like we expected. Fantasy GMs are once again are excited for Jackson to be one of the top quarterbacks this season. We have Jackson ranked as the no.3 fantasy quarterback in 2024. |

Baltimore Ravens LB Odafe Oweh is 'doing a great job' during the first three days of training camp and has 'pretty much been in the backfield on every play,' according to head coach John Harbaugh on Tuesday, July 23.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry is attempting to become just the fourth running back in the past decade to rush for 1,000 yards in the NFL at the age of 30 or older, joining retired RBs Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore, and current Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert.
Footballguys view: Baltimore signed Henry to a two-year, $16 million deal in free agency. He is coming off a season in which he recorded 68.6 rushing yards per game and 4.2 yards per carry, both of which were his lowest since 2018. But that was in Tennessee. The Titans had issues at quarterback and on the offensive line. In Baltimore, Henry will line up in the same backfield as quarterback Lamar Jackson, a two-time NFL Most Valuable Player, and run behind a much better offensive line. Optimism for the veteran is growing as he's moved to RB8 in current Average Draft Position. |

Baltimore Ravens CB Tre Swilling was waived Monday, July 22.
Link to storyRavens quarterback Lamar Jackson is out for a second consecutive day of training camp. Jackson was sent home with an illness before Sunday's opening practice, and he remains out Monday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner reports.
Footballguys view: Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Jackson's timetable for a return was unclear after the reigning NFL MVP fell ill Saturday. Harbaugh said Jackson would return "when he feels better when he's not sick anymore." Backup Josh Johnson is taking Jackson's first-team reps, with rookies Devin Leary and Emory Jones the other quarterbacks on the roster. Again, there is nothing to panic over here. We'll monitor and report back as needed, but there's no reason to believe this is a long-term issue. |

Free-agent DB Daryl Worley (Ravens) re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens on an undisclosed deal Monday, July 22.

Baltimore Ravens DB Jordan Toles was released Saturday, July 21.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (illness) was sent home from practice due to an illness, the team announced Sunday, July 21.
Footballguys view: This doesn't sound like a big deal. It shouldn't be long before we see Jackson back out there in training camp. We have Jackson ranked as the no.4 fantasy quarterback this year, and Fantasy GMs are expecting him to continue making strides as a passer while maintaining his elite rushing ability. |

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle) said he fells '100 percent' healthy from the ankle injury he suffered during the 2023 regular season, he told reporters Saturday, July 20.
Footballguys view: Andrews suffered an ankle injury that knocked him out for seven regular-season games last year (although he did return in the postseason). He's healthy now, and Fantasy GMs are ready for him to dominate as a TE1 once again. Isaiah Likely (who we love) is there to be a quality backup to Andrews and could post TE1 numbers himself if Andrews is banged up again. |
Mark Andrews player page
Baltimore Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) does not have a timetable for his return, but the team is hoping that he will be able to play at some point during the 2024 season.
Footballguys view: Derrick Henry and Justice Hill are the top two backs on the depth chart in Baltimore. Behind them, Mitchell will compete with guys like rookie RB Rasheen Ali (who we love) for the third spot. With this knee injury...and no timetable for a return...it looks like Ali could cinch up that spot in training camp. |
Free-agent S Eddie Jackson (Bears) reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, July 19.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens LB Adisa Isaac (hamstring) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list because of a minor hamstring injury.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens CB T.J. Tampa (undisclosed) was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, July 15.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens LB Adisa Isaac (undisclosed) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list Monday, July 15.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens RB Keaton Mitchell (knee) was placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, July 15.
Footballguys view: Mitchell, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent last year, was putting together a strong rookie campaign before tearing his ACL in Baltimore's Week 15 victory over the Jaguars. He ended his rookie season averaging 8.4 yards per carry, gaining 396 yards with two touchdowns on 47 attempts. He also caught nine passes for 93 yards. Mitchell is eligible to be activated off the PUP list at any time before the start of the season. |
The Ravens moved on from Odell Beckham Jr., leaving Rashod Bateman as the clear No. 2 receiver behind Zay Flowers. After hearing all offseason about how they haven't done enough to get Bateman involved, offensive coordinator Todd Monken and quarterback Lamar Jackson should be plenty motivated to get the ball to Bateman.
Footballguys view: The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec noted that the 2021 first-round pick has generated lofty breakout predictions in previous offseasons, and he's never achieved fantasy relevance. Zrebiec acknowledged: "It's always wise to proceed with caution when counting on Ravens wide receivers in your weekly lineup." However, Bateman had his first healthy offseason since he entered the NFL. He signed a contract extension in April, putting persistent trade rumors to bed. Of course, his current WR77 Average Draft Position makes him more likely to be on your waiver-wire watchlist than to be a draft-worthy commodity, but the Ravens' investment in Bateman adds at least a little intrigue here. |

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson probably will not receive more carries this season even though he dropped some weight during the offseason, in the opinion of BaltimoreRavens.com's Ryan Mink. Jackson averaged 9.25 rushing attempts last season.
Footballguys view: The Ravens have Derrick Henry to do the heavy liftin in the backfield. Jackson is going to take off and run under pressure, and that's always going to be part of his game. However, as he gets older it's wise to cut down on those designed runs to save the wear and tear on his body. |

Baltimore Ravens TE Isaiah Likely caught 30 of his 40 targets for 411 yards and five touchdowns in 2023. The resulting 147.0 passer rating on targets in his direction was the highest of any qualified pass-catcher in the league last season, according to Pro Football Reference.
Footballguys view: Likely is one of our favorite players in dynasty formats. He's going to be a quality starter one day, and Likely has Pro Bowl-caliber potential. However, for now, he's a quality reserve for the Ravens behind Mark Andrews. |
Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has shown great route running and ball skills during practices and should have a very productive season in 2024, according to TE Mark Andrews.
Footballguys view: Bateman should be better than what we saw last year simply because he is healthier. He had to have an extra procedure done to remove hardware from his surgically repaired foot last offseason that could have slowed down his recovery. The bigger question is whether there will be enough targets for Bateman to be fantasy relevant with Derrick Henry revitalizing the running game, Andrews and Flowers ahead of him in the passing game, and Isaiah Likely coming on to make two tight end sets a preferred mode of attack for the offense. Bateman is worth a late round pick because of his first round pedigree and the quality of this offense, but he's the kind of pick we can move on from quickly if he doesn't start fast. |

Free-agent WR Keith Kirkwood (Saints) signed an undisclosed contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, June 28.

Baltimore Ravens WR Tayvion Robinson was waived Wednesday, June 26.
Link to storyJamison Hensley of ESPN reports that Malik Cunningham has impressed the Ravens with his speed after moving to wide receiver this spring. Hensley writes that Cunningham has "put himself in position to compete for the No. 5 wide receiver spot and the returner job."
Footballguys view: Head coach John Harbaugh said the converted quarterback was a "kind of a natural" at wide receiver and that his experience at quarterback is helping his routes and timing "and things like that" be "excellent". Cunningham doesn't have any redraft or best ball value, but should be monitored in deep dynasty and return yardage leagues. |
Armed with two premier tight ends in Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, the Ravens want to get them on the field more at the same time in 2024. How they do they do it? Likely wants to make it easier by blurring the lines. During minicamp, Likely said he's focused on learning all the receiving positions in Year 2 of Todd Monken's offense. "It's being a chess piece, being anywhere [Monken] needs me to be in this offense -- whether it's in the slot, in-line, in the backfield, split out wide by myself," Likely told the team's official website.
Footballguys view: In the eight games after he stepped in for the injured Andrews last season, Likely caught 25 passes for 372 yards and six touchdowns. The Ravens would love to figure out how to get that kind of production even when Andrews is on the field. The Ravens used 12 personnel (two WRs, two TEs, and one RB) 11.1% of the time last year, which ranked 27th in the NFL. The league-wide average was 19.2%. Sounds like we can expect Monken, who used 2-TE sets 59% of the time in his previous job with the Georgia Bulldogs, to ramp that up in Baltimore this season. |
Baltimore Ravens OTs Joshua Jones and Ben Cleveland both saw time at guard and tackle during organized team activities.
Footballguys view: If there is a potential flaw in the Ravens offense this year, it's that they will have three new starters on the offensive line. Both Cleveland and Jones are candidates to start at right tackle or right guard, and second round pick Roger Rosengarten is also in the mix to start at right tackle. The hope at left guard is Andrew Vorhees, who was supposed to go much higher than the seventh round pick the Ravens used to get him last year. The Ravens got him at a big discount after he torn his ACL at the combine (and still did 38 reps of 225 on the bench after suffering the injury). We'll be watching and listening to reports out of Ravens camp to monitor how the effort to restock the line is going. |
Baltimore Ravens OT Patrick Mekari (undisclosed) exited the final minicamp practice with an undisclosed injury.
Link to storyUpdating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens S Kyle Hamilton's (elbow) recent surgical procedure resulted in some loose bodies being removed from his elbow, according to head coach John Harbaugh. He will need approximately two to three weeks to recover and will be ready for training camp.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson could earn more pre-snap responsibilities in his second year under offensive coordinator Todd Monken, according to recent comments from quarterbacks coach Tee Martin.'It takes him understanding how we're blocking things up front to get us to the best run and the best pass for whatever coverage we're facing. He's accepted it and done a heck of a job of getting us into the right play, and today was probably the best day in a long time of him really just having the freedom to do what he wants to do. We saw some really good plays and some positive gains with him doing that today,' Martin said.
Footballguys view: The Ravens pass offense improved as the season progressed in the first year under Monken, and that was without Mark Andrews for the last third of the season. Zay Flowers will be even better in year two and Rashod Bateman will be healthier. Jackson is going as QB4 in fantasy drafts, but can easily finish as QB1, like he did in his second season in the league. |

Baltimore Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (elbow) recently underwent elbow surgery but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (undisclosed) worked on the side during the voluntary workout Thursday, June 6.
Footballguys view: The injury is undisclosed, but at least we know Likely is working off to the side as OTAs continue. In 13 games last year, Likely scored five touchdowns as a reserve. He could do something like that this season as he continues to be a backup to Mark Andrews. If healthy, Likely is a player to keep on your waiver wire speed dial if Andrews misses time with an injury. |
Baltimore Ravens LB David Ojabo (knee) was able to participate in some individual drills during the voluntary workout Thursday, June 6.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens LB Adisa Isaac (hamstring) and S Beau Brade (ankle) will have a chance to participate in the mandatory minicamp next week, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Link to storyIt's too late to earn his $750,000 workout bonus. It's not too late to get better prepared for the 2024 season. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has returned to OTAs on Tuesday.
Footballguys view: Jackson, a two-time league MVP, signed a five-year, $260 million contract last year. The deal has $750,000 workout bonuses in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027. According to PFT's Mike Flori, it's unclear why he's been absent up to this point. The workouts are voluntary, but as Florio pointed out, most NFL starting quarterbacks volunteer to attend unless they have a good reason not to be present. Whatever Jackson's reason, the $750,000 workout bonus for 2024 can't be earned. Fortunately, there's no reason to believe this will hurt Jackson's fantasy production. He's QB4 on our Footballguys 2024 Draft Rankings. |

Baltimore Ravens WR Tylan Wallace has shown 'a real knack for winning deep out routes' during OTAs, according to Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com.
Footballguys view: Wallace can fly down the field. That's the hallmark of his game, so it makes sense that he's standing out this way in OTAs. With the addition of Devontez Walker in the 2024 NFL draft, Wallace is pushed further down the depth chart. At this time, Wallace is the fourth or fifth receiver on the depth chart in Baltimore. |

Baltimore Ravens LB David Ojabo (knee) should be a full participant at some point during training camp, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens RB Rasheen Ali (biceps) was able to participate in team drills for the first time during OTAs on Tuesday, May 28.
Footballguys view: Ali is a speed back who could be an eventual replacement for Justice Hill. The Ravens reportedly studied him in great detail before the draft and were relieved he was still there in the fifth round after there was a running back run in the fourth round. |
Baltimore Ravens LB Odafe Oweh (thumb) 'dominated' as a pass rusher and as a run defender during OTAs on Tuesday, May 28, according to Ryan Mink of the team's official site.

The Baltimore Ravens are searching for a third safety to replace S Geno Stone, who signed as a free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals in March. Defensive coordinator Zach Orr said the Ravens have a few solid in-house candidates, such as Ar'Darius Washington.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry is viewed as a 'closer' by offensive coordinator Todd Monken, who said that if Henry 'carries it 300 times' in 2024, then the team would be 'having a helluva year.' He also noted the importance of keeping Henry healthy over the course of the season.
Footballguys view: Henry was a battering ram for the Titans, but he only had 280 carries last year in Tennessee. This season, Henry is now the battering ram for the Ravens - but he doesn't have to do all the heavy lifting with the rushing attack. Using Henry as a closer to finish out games makes sense. We like projecting him for around 250 carries this season, which gives Henry low-end RB1 potential for Fantasy GMs. |
Derrick Henry player page
Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman has shown improvement this offseason and should be more involved in the passing game this upcoming season, according to offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
Footballguys view: It's going to be hard for Ravens passcatchers to be consistent for fantasy football with a low volume passing game even if Bateman doesn't have a bounce back season, but if he does, good luck predicting who of him, Zay Flowers, and Mark Andrews will lead the team in receiving in any given week. They also a trusted TE2 - Isaiah Likely and WR3 - Nelson Agholor. All of this is good for Lamar Jackson, and while Bateman is still only a very late round target in redraft, he could rehabilitate his value in dynasty leagues. |
