'Denver coming in, an elite defense, one of the best defenses in the leagues, pass rush, blitzes, playmakers all over the field. They were sending pressure at him, they were throwing zero looks, they were rushing with four with some great guys.'
| Footballguys view: It's a fair assessment. After all, Lawrence played the best football of his five-year NFL career over the second half of last season. The Jaguars won eight consecutive games (and averaged an NFL-best 33.6 points per game over that span) to close out the regular season. Lawrence scored 24 total touchdowns, 19 of them through the air, with just five interceptions during that stretch. He finished the season as QB4 with 342.2 fantasy points, but was QB1 from Weeks 10 through 17. Lawrence is currently being drafted as QB10. |
