New England Patriots QB Drake Maye (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Feb. 5.
Link to storyNew England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson became the second player in NFL history to have two games with multiple 50-yard rushing touchdowns in his career, joining retired RB Chris Johnson.
Footballguys view: Unfortunately, that's about where the highlight reel ends for Henderson's rookie season - at least as of right now. He barely saw the field in the AFC title game and the Patriots probably won't play him much in the Super Bowl to avoid exposing his subpar pass blocking to the Seahawks pass rush. Henderson's debut season was more flash than substance.
New England Patriots QB Drake Maye (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Link to storyNew England Patriots LB Robert Spillane (ankle) did not participate in practice for Super Bowl LX on Wednesday, Feb. 4. LB Harold Landry (knee) and OT Thayer Munford (knee) were limited participates, and QB Drake Maye (shoulder) and DT Joshua Farmer (hamstring) practiced in full.
Footballguys view: Good news for Maye and the Patriots here. He's not going to miss the Super Bowl, and practicing fully shows that he's on track for Sunday.

New England Patriots RB Terrell Jennings (head) has his 21-day practice window expire and will remain on the Reserve/Injured list.
Link to storyNew England Patriots LB Robert Spillane (ankle) said he is confident that he will be available to play in Super Bowl LX.
Link to storyNew England Patriots DT Milton Williams is the only player in Super Bowl LX who is making his third-career Super Bowl appearance. He won last season as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. 'It's great, man. I just say I'm blessed to be in this situation,' Williams said. 'This is my third Super Bowl in five years. It's crazy.' He had two sacks and four quarterback hits in last season's postseason run in Philadelphia, including two sacks and a forced fumble in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Link to storyNew England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was not voted in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2026.
Footballguys view: Kraft joins his former head coach, Bill Belichick, in being passed over on the first ballot. The Class of 2026 will be revealed on Thursday at NFL Honors in San Francisco, minus Kraft and Belichick.
Concerns about Drake Maye's shoulder have diminished after the New England Patriots quarterback and coaching staff all downplayed the injury. During Super Bowl XL Opening Night, Maye said he felt good after Monday's throwing session. "I feel good. I'll be just fine," Maye said. "I threw a good bit. I threw as much as I would at a normal practice. I felt great and looking forward to getting back out there Wednesday and Thursday for practice and Friday to get ready for a normal week of prep."
Footballguys view: Maye was listed as questionable on the Patriots' Super Bowl Bye Week Injury report after limited participation with the shoulder injury and missing Friday due to an illness. The message on Monday was that Maye was fine physically ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks' No. 1 defense. The two weeks between games helped things settle for the MVP candidate. Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel reiterated that Maye looked good on Monday. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was asked if he expected any limitations with Maye's shoulder entering Sunday's contest. "Nope," McDaniels confidently stated. Nonetheless, we'll be watching for more.

New England Patriots QB Drake Maye (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 29.
Footballguys view: The Super Bowl is a little over a week away. We're confident that Maye will get out there in the biggest game of his career. A shoulder injury can be problematic, so we'll see how limited Maye is in practice next week.

New England Patriots QB Drake Maye (shoulder) is battling a shoulder ailment but should be fine to play in the Super Bowl.
Footballguys view: Asked about online speculation that Maye suffered an injury in the AFC Championship Game win over the Broncos, head coach Mike Vrabel did not answer that specifically, instead saying, "There's not a player on our team that's 100 percent healthy" at this point in the year. At a press conference later in the day, Vrabel was asked if interest in Maye's shoulder has been overblown. Vrabel said it "probably" has been. The Patriots will release an injury report on Wednesday, but next week's practice and injury updates will be of greater import when setting the stage for Super Bowl LX.
Updating a previous report, New England Patriots LB Robert Spillane (ankle) did not return to the AFC Championship game because of his ankle injury.
Link to storyNew England Patriots QB Drake Maye went 10-for-21 for 86 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game. Maye also rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries. RB Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 71 yards on 25 carries, while RB TreVeyon Henderson rushed for five yards on three carries. WR Mack Hollins caught two passes for 51 yards on two targets, WR Stefon Diggs caught five passes for 17 yards on six targets, TE Hunter Henry caught two passes for 12 yards on three targets and WR Kayshon Boutte caught one pass for six yards on six targets.
Footballguys view: The Broncos defense was up to the task, as the only touchdown they allowed was off of a Jarrett Stidham turnover deep in his own territory. Drake Maye was more dangerous as a runner than a passer, and the Broncos shut down the predictable Patriots running game. The Patriots still advanced thanks to their defense and a second half field goal drive that broke a 7-7 tie. New England will have two weeks to prepare as a Super Bowl underdog after pulling off a stunning turnaround under first year head coach Mike Vrabel.

New England Patriots LB Christian Elliss is expected to face his brother, Denver Broncos LB Jonah Elliss, in the AFC Championship Game. 'We're excited. It's a huge blessing to our family. One of us is going to the Super Bowl one way or another, so we're excited,' Christian said. 'For me, there's a little bit of smack talking. We'll have a little side bet and the loser will be reminded forever.'
Link to storyNew England Patriots DT Joshua Farmer (hamstring) and RB Terrell Jennings (head) have been ruled out for the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, and neither player traveled. Both players were previously listed as questionable.
Link to storyNew England Patriots RB D'Ernest Johnson and DE Leonard Taylor III were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Jan. 24 ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. DT Eric Gregory (undisclosed) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list, too.

New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins (abdomen) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list on Saturday, Jan. 24, ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos.
Footballguys view: Hollins was one of the Patriots' top receivers during the regular season. He was third on the team in receptions (46), adding two receiving touchdowns. Hollins' blocking ability has also been key to the Patriots' success on offense this season. As the Boston Globe noted, with his 6-4 frame, Hollins has allowed the Patriots to play with advantageous personnel packages on run downs. While the Patriots haven't necessarily needed Hollins so far in the playoffs, his return is certainly welcomed news, as Drake Maye hasn't been as prolific throwing the ball this postseason.

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 23, and is not on the injury report for the AFC Championship game.
Footballguys view: Henry opened up the week with back-to-back limited practices, so full participation on Friday is good to see. Henry has been very boom-or-bust this season. Last week, he had just one catch for five yards. But his multi-touchdown upside in any matchup always makes him an intriguing play.

New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 23, and is not on the injury report for the AFC Championship game.
Footballguys view: Henderson has been on the injury report all week, but it hasn't stopped him from practicing in full every day. The Patriots chose to lean a bit heavier on Rhamondre Stevenson in their first playoff game. Henderson is a big-play threat every time he touches the ball, but the coaching staff might have more faith in the veteran in these big games.
New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins (abdomen) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 23, but is listed as questionable for the AFC Championship game.
Footballguys view: Hollins hasn't played since Week 16. When active, he's been a reliable deep threat and a team leader. The Patriots get the benefit of playing against a Broncos team without Bo Nix, but the home-field advantage and stout defense can still pose a challenge. If Hollins can return this week, he'll be welcomed back to a receiver room that could use the extra firepower.

New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: Henderson can be a problem for the Broncos on Sunday. The rookie back can make a big play happen any time he touches the ball. Even splitting touches with Rhamondre Stevenson, Henderson could be a factor.
New England Patriots WR Mack Hollins (abdomen) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: Let's see if Hollins can get out there on Sunday against the Broncos. He's coming back from IR with this abdomen injury and not a lock to play. If he does play, Hollins will block (his forte) and be a deep threat for the Pats.

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (non-injury) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 22.
Footballguys view: Henry is a seasoned veteran getting some rest. He's good for the AFC Championship Game against the Broncos, and with their weakness covering tight ends he could have a big game.

New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Footballguys view: The Broncos struggled to slow down James Cook in the Divisional Round. They'll have their hands full with Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson in the AFC Championship on Sunday.
New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (non-injury) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Footballguys view: Historically, the Broncos struggle to cover tight ends and Henry is one of the best. Expect QB Drake Maye to target him early and often against the Broncos in the AFC Championship on Sunday.
