Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) 'is doing well' in his recovery from a concussion, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, and Fowler said the Raiders are optimistic that Garoppolo will be able to play in Week 4.
Footballguys view: We'll see what Garoppolo can do on Friday's practice. The team is on the road to face their divisional opponent the Los Angeles Chargers. Having Garoppolo out there would help the offense because their primary backup is Brian Hoyer. We love rookie QB Aidan O'Connell in dynasty formats and wouldn't mind seeing the kid play if Garoppolo is out in Week 4. Stay tuned. |

Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) is in the concussion protocol, per sources Monday, Sept. 25.
Footballguys view: We'll see how he progresses during the week. The Raiders have veteran Brian Hoyer as their primary backup, and he's got plenty of starting experience if Garoppolo can't play in Week 4. However, we like rookie QB Aidan O'Connell, and we'd love to see him get an opportunity as a starter in this league. Before the draft, there were some who considered him a sleeper coming out of Purdue. He performed well at the Shrine Bowl, and O'Connell also flashed starter's ability in the preseason. |

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.
Footballguys view: Meyers looked great in Week 1 against the Broncos before getting knocked out by S Kareem Jackson. He missed Week 2, but now through the concussion protocol, he's ready to get back out there. Meyers should be considered a WR3/flex play against the Steelers in Week 3. |

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (concussion) is heading in the right direction as he progresses through the concussion protocol, per sources Monday, Sept. 18.
Footballguys view: Meyers was outstanding in Week 1 against the Broncos before suffering the concussion. We'll be considering him as a flex play when he's out there for the Raiders this year, with a chance for him to produce more. |

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (head) was evaluated for a concussion after the Week 2 game.
Footballguys view: Adams caught 6-of-8 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' Week 2 loss to the Bills. He should be fine, and reports do not indicate that he's in the concussion protocol. Adams should be good to go for a Week 3 matchup against the Steelers. |

Link to storyLas Vegas Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow caught one pass for 23 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He was targeted one time during the game.
Footballguys view: The 13.1 million dollar man was barely part of the game plan even though Jakobi Meyers was sidelined with a concussion. The current regime can't hang this on Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock, as Renfrow's big extension was one of the moves Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler made in their first offseason at the helm. |

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams caught six passes for 84 yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He was targeted eight times during the game.
Footballguys view: Adams score and almost half of his yardage came on the opening drive. He isn't having a problem riffing with Jimmy Garoppolo, but this is going to be a basement-level offense and not supporting of the big outbursts we've seen from Adams in the past. He'll still be a solid play against the Steelers next week if he isn't in concussion protocol after reportedly being evaluated for a head injury postgame. |

Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs caught five passes for 51 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He finished with negative two yards on nine carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Jacobs at least was targeted frequently to salvage something for fantasy, but one of those targets turned into an interception when Matt Milano climbed over Jacobs to make a pick. The Raiders offense did enough to beat a sluggish Broncos team last week, but they don't appear to be good enough to support anything approaching Jacobs 2022 value. He's a volume RB2 with a low weekly floor and theoretically still a high ceiling as a clear lead back, but we need to see next week vs. Pittsburgh, or he won't be an automatic start going forward. |

Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo went 16-for-24 for 185 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2.
Footballguys view: Garoppolo missed Jakobi Meyers, who was out with a concussion, as other than a good opening drive keyed by Davante Adams, the Raiders offense was dormant in Buffalo. He'll try to bounce back in the home opener against the Steelers next week. |
