Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, who missed the previous three games because of a knee injury, caught 12 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's overtime loss to the Jaguars.
Footballguys view: Bowers became the first player in NFL history to have five games with at least 10 catches in his first two seasons. He became the first tight end with at least 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a game since Rob Gronkowski in 2014. Bowers has accumulated 1,546 receiving yards in just 22 games. That's the fewest games needed by a tight end to pass 1,500 receiving yards since 1970. For our purposes, Bowers' 43.3 points were the highest single-scoring game by a tight end this season. The Raiders play the Broncos on Thursday night in Week 10.

The Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly expressed interest in trading for Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers, although their asking price is believed to be high, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
Footballguys view: There are multiple rumors that the Bills and Steelers are interested in wide receiver help before the trade deadline. Meyers has missed a bit of time with a knee injury this year, but he's set to play in Week 9 against the Jaguars. The Raiders could use this contest to showcase Meyers to interested teams. It seems like the worst-kept secret in the league that the Raiders are shopping Meyers.

Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby (back) is expected to play in Week 9's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Footballguys view: He was removed from the injury report Friday, Oct. 31, after logging one limited practice session and one full session during the week.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) practiced in full on Friday, Oct. 31, and no longer appears on the injury report.
Footballguys view: Expectations were that Bowers would return after the bye, and he plans to do just that. Bowers practiced at full strength all week and should have no limitations on Sunday. He's our TE4 this week, a must-start in all formats.
Las Vegas Raiders S Lonnie Johnson (fibula) and QB Aidan O'Connell (wrist) practiced in full on Friday, Oct. 31, and have been ruled out for Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. TE Brock Bowers (knee), DL Adam Butler (back), DE Maxx Crosby (back), WR Jakobi Meyers (knee), and S Isaiah Pola-Mao (ankle, knee) practiced in full on Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) said he is 'ready to roll' for the Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and head coach Pete Carroll said Bowers is back to playing at full speed.
Footballguys view: Coming out of the bye, it will be good to see Bowers out there. His return to the field is a boost for Geno Smith. Now that he's back out there, Bowers is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (knee) was able to practice in full Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Footballguys view: Pete Carroll said Bowers would be ready to go after the Week 8 bye, and here we are. Bowers should be out there against the Jaguars on Sunday, and he's a TE1 for Fantasy GMs anytime he's playing.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell's (wrist) 21-day practice window opened Wednesday, Oct. 29, as he was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list.
Footballguys view: With the struggles of the offense under Geno Smith, there's a chance we could see O'Connell later this year. Keep this in mind when playing in deeper start-2QB/superflex leagues.
Las Vegas Raiders CB Lonnie Johnson (leg) had his 21-day practice window opened Monday, Oct. 27.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Justin Shorter was waived Monday, Oct. 27.

Free-agent WR Tyler Lockett (Titans) agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Las Vegas Raiders Monday, Oct. 27.
Footballguys view: Lockett joined the Seahawks as a third-round pick in 2015 and played for current Raiders coach Pete Carroll in his first nine NFL seasons. He remained with the Seahawks for the 2024 season, but moved on to Tennessee after being released in March. Lockett had 10 catches for 70 yards in Tennessee before he asked for and was granted his release last week. The Raiders are hoping that Lockett can recreate the kind of production he had while playing for Carroll and with quarterback Geno Smith during his time in Seattle.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers has indicated that he is still looking for a trade, but the Raiders will only trade Meyers if they receive strong value in return, according to sources.

The Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby met with the team Tuesday, Oct. 21, and was told he wasn't going to be traded, according to sources. Other teams are interested in Crosby, but the Raiders aren't interested in moving their best player, and Crosby wants to stay in Las Vegas, Pelissero reported.

Link to storyLas Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers (knee, toe) should be available for the Week 9 game, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Footballguys view: Meyers just missed Week 7 as he deals with knee and toe injuries. Through six games, Meyer, who has been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks, notched 329 yards and zero touchdowns. The Raiders play the Jaguars when they return from the bye.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) should be available for the Week 9 game, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Footballguys view: Bowers has missed the last three games after he suffered a PCL injury in his knee. He was reported to not want to rest while dealing with knee injuries this season, but the Raiders ultimately decided to sit him out until he was healthy again. He will end up missing a total of four weeks -- assuming he does indeed return Week 9. We'll be watching for more.
Updating a previous report, Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby (knee) was removed from the Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a knee injury, and a source said Sunday, Oct. 19, that he is expected to be fine going forward. It was more of a precautionary thing, and likely had to be with a lopsided score, too.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Carter Runyon posted a 3-yard reception on a single target in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Link to storyLas Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer posted a single 10-yard reception on two targets in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Footballguys view: Like the rest of the Raiders offense, Mayer was basically a no show for fantasy football. Brock Bowers should be back after the bye, so you can drop Mayer if you picked him up as speculative depth or a one-week play.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Jack Bech posted two receptions for 13 yards on his two targets in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Link to storyLas Vegas Raiders WR Tre Tucker posted five receptions for 33 yards on six targets in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Link to storyLas Vegas Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty rushed six times for 21 yards in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, while posting a single 13-yard reception on his only target.
Footballguys view: It's hard to bench a talented lead back in fantasy football, but if the Raiders offense doesn't improve after the bye, we might be considering that. We have seen Jeanty's upside, and hopefully offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will make him the focal point of the Week 9 gameplan against the Jaguars after the bye.
Las Vegas Raiders QB Geno Smith completed 10-of-16 passes for 67 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. QB Kenny Pickett was inserted into the lineup in his place.
Footballguys view: The Raiders go into the bye with an offense generating ineptitude that is swallowing up the fantasy value of everyone it touches. Hopefully Brock Bowers will return after the bye and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly can figure out how to get something going. We'll be listening for any indications that Pickett is being considered as the team's Week 9 starter against Jacksonville after the bye.

Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby (back, knee) suffered back and knee injuries during the Week 7 game and is considered doubtful to return.
Footballguys view: The Raiders are going into their bye, so we might not get definite news on the severity of Crosby's injuries until the Raiders return to practice after Week 8. What we do know is that the defense is going to have trouble stopping anybody without their best player.
