Footballguys view: Rush had his best game of the season, and maybe his career in the road win. He completed touchdown passes to three different receivers and should be in QB2/Superflex consideration next week against the Bucs if you don't have another strong option. |

Footballguys view: Rush wasn't perfect, and his receivers didn't help him as much as they could, but the Cowboys won on Thanksgiving. Despite Fantasy GMs who want Trey Lance to play, the Cowboys will stick with Rush as their starter. |

Dallas Cowboys QB Cooper Rush completed 24-of-32 passes for 247 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 12 against the Washington Commanders, while adding four runs for a single yard.
Footballguys view: Rush starting throwing downfield a little more as the game went on, but he was still mainly a short range passer. CeeDee Lamb still has decent value in PPR leagues, and it appears Rush can support the value of his starting tight end whether it's Jake Ferguson or Luke Schoonmaker. This performance should keep Trey Lance on the bench, maybe even for the rest of the season. Rush will be worth a QB2/Superflex look against the woeful Giants on Thanksgiving. |

Dallas Cowboys QB Cooper Rush will start again in Week 12 but backup QB Trey Lance will have some packages, head coach Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Footballguys view: The Cowboys are not going anywhere this season. They should just turn things over to Lance to see if there's anything there worth developing. Rush completed 32-of-55 passes for 354 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Cowboys' 34-10, Week 11 loss to the Texans. However, McCarthy said he did regret not letting Lance play in the fourth quarter of that game. |

Dallas Cowboys QB Cooper Rush will be the starting quarterback for the Cowboys in Week 11, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.
Footballguys view: The Cowboys offense couldn't find the end zone and committed five turnovers in their 34-6 blowout loss to the Eagles. Two of those giveaways were fumbles by Rush. He completed 13 of his 23 passes for 45 yards, making him the third player in the last 20 years with over 20 pass attempts and under 50 passing yards in a game. Still, McCarthy is all in on starting Rush against the AFC South-leading Houston on Monday Night Football, calling it an easy decision. "We've got a lot of faith in Cooper," McCarthy said. "Everybody believes in him." Trey Lance will be standing by if needed. |

Dallas Cowboys QB Cooper Rush will be the starting quarterback for the Cowboys in Week 10 since QB Dak Prescott (hamstring) will not be available, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.
Footballguys view: Rush went 4-1 as the Cowboys' starter in 2022 after Prescott suffered the thumb injury in the season opener. The Cowboys did not score more than 25 points in any of Rush's starts, but the defense allowed more than 20 points just once. His lone loss came against the Eagles, when he was intercepted three times. For his career, Rush is 5-1 as a starter. |

Dallas Cowboys QB Trey Lance will need to show a lot this preseason in order to beat out QB Cooper Rush for the backup spot on the roster, in the opinion of beat writer Clarence Hill Jr.
Footballguys view: While we haven't seen Lance fail spectacularly, items like this don't give us confidence that there is something there the 49ers gave up on too quickly. The Cowboys also don't have Dak Prescott under contract for next year. Some have speculated that Lance (who is also a free agent next year) is a possible succession plan, but this throws cold water on that idea. Lance might not be an essential hold in superflex dynasty at this point. |

Footballguys view: Rush has gone 4-1 as the starter for the Cowboys, and he'll continue to lead the way while Dak Prescott (thumb) continues to recover. As the week of practice continues, we'll have a better feel for when Prescott could return. |

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (thumb) is not in danger of losing his starting job to QB Cooper Rush, owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday, Oct. 4. 'No, no,' Jones said. 'Not as I see it right today.'
