Jaguars | Evan Engram week-to-week Mon Sep 16, 03:23 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is considered week-to-week, head coach Doug Pederson told reporters Monday, Sept. 16.
Footballguys view: Engram suffered his injury during pregame warmups and was ruled out by the team ahead of kickoff. While Pederson indicated that the Jaguars will have to "see where (Engram) is this week," it's fair to view the tight end's status for next Monday's game against the Bills as questionable at best. If Engram is unavailable in Week 3, Brenton Strange and Luke Farrell will once again fill in. |

Jaguars | Andre Cisco nursing groin injury Sun Sep 15, 08:14 PM
Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars S Andre Cisco (groin) left the Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns due to a groin injury, and he was unable to return.

Jaguars | Tank Bigsby unable to make it back Sun Sep 15, 08:12 PM
Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby (shoulder) left the Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns due to a shoulder injury, and he was unable to return.
Footballguys view: Bigsby was hurt on a special teams play early in the game and didn't play a single snap on offense. With Bigsby being the primary backup, Travis Etienne Jr. played slightly more than last week. Also, with Bigsby out, D'Ernest Johnson finished with 17 snaps. He will serve as the change of pace to Etienne and his insurance policy if Bigsby misses time. |

Jaguars | Christian Kirk had disastrous Week 2 Sun Sep 15, 05:08 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk posted one catch for minus-1 yard on three targets in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.
Footballguys view: Kirk drew a long pass interference but wasn't really a threat otherwise in this game. Even with Evan Engram out, Kirk couldn't make a dent in the box score. He's still rosterable while we wait to see if the Jaguars offense can get on track, but you can't play him against the Bills next week. |

Jaguars | Gabe Davis good for three grabs Sun Sep 15, 05:06 PM

Jaguars | Brenton Strange steps up in Week 2 Sun Sep 15, 05:04 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Brenton Strange posted three receptions for 65 yards on six targets in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.

Jaguars | Brian Thomas Jr. aided by long catch Sun Sep 15, 05:02 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. managed two receptions for a game-high 94 yards in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, aided by a 66-yard reception in the second half.
Footballguys view: Thomas is the only reliable play in the Jaguars passing game, even with Evan Engram out this week. He has given Trevor Lawrence a vertical target, but the rest of the offense hasn't realized the benefits of the new dimension yet. He's a WR3/Flex play against the Bills next week. |
Jaguars | D'Ernest Johnson totals five carries Sun Sep 15, 04:58 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars RB D'Ernest Johnson rushed five times for 26 yards in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, and he was not targeted in the pass game.

Jaguars | Decent line for Travis Etienne Sun Sep 15, 04:54 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne rushed 13 times for 52 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, while adding three receptions for six yards on four targets.
Footballguys view: Etienne was a little better this week and got set up for another short score by a great Brian Thomas Jr. play. Tank Bigsby's shoulder injury will help Etienne's hold on the starting job, but the coaching staff wasn't using Bigsby in place of Etienne before the injury, so this was a bounce back week for his opportunity. Etienne is an RB2 play against the Bills next week. |

Jaguars | Trevor Lawrence doesn't do much Sun Sep 15, 04:48 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence completed 14-of-30 passes for 220 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, while adding two rushes for 45 yards.
Footballguys view: Lawrence didn't do much for most of the day, but Brian Thomas Jr. did break a few big gains along with backup tight end Brenton Strange. Next week against Buffalo isn't an easy matchup. Lawrence only has value in superflex leagues right now. |

Jaguars | Shoulder issue for Tank Bigsby Sun Sep 15, 02:03 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 2 game and is considered questionable to return.
Footballguys view: Bigsby hadn't touched the ball on an offensive play before the injury, so it didn't seem like he had earned a larger role despite a very strong performance in Week 1. He can be dropped in redraft leagues. D'Ernest Johnson will back up Travis Etienne if Bigsby misses time. |

Jaguars | Evan Engram to miss Week 2 Sun Sep 15, 12:14 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during pregame warmups and will not play in the Week 2 game.
Footballguys view: It's not clear if Engram will be available for next week's game against Buffalo. 2023 second round pick Brenton Strange was productive in Engram's stead even though the Jags lost, so the team won't rush Engram back. |

Jaguars | Evan Engram nearly non-existent Sun Sep 8, 05:49 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram was limited to just one reception for five yards on four targets in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.
Footballguys view: Engram, like Christian Kirk, was overshadowed by Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis. Most of the top tight ends disappointed in Week 1, so Engram fantasy teams are not alone in wondering why they got so little from the position to open the season. We'll keep Engram in lineups against the Browns next week. |

Jaguars | One long reception for Christian Kirk Sun Sep 8, 05:48 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk had a 30-yard reception on his only touch in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted four times, tied for a team high.
Footballguys view: Kirk is taking a backseat to the Jaguars offseason additions at wide receiver. He is just a flex play at this point and you have to hope that the Jaguars are forced to open up the pass offense. We'll see if that happens against the Browns next week. Kirk is not a clear start for Week 2 in fantasy football. |

Jaguars | Brian Thomas Jr. scores in NFL debut Sun Sep 8, 05:45 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. had four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown on his four targets in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins in his NFL debut.
Footballguys view: Thomas also drew a pass interference in the end zone that set up the Jaguars other touchdown. His score was a thing of beauty with strong hands and great footwork at the back of the end zone. The Jaguars have their new #1 receiver. |
Jaguars | Gabe Davis has solid team debut Sun Sep 8, 05:44 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Gabe Davis cashed in his three targets for three receptions and a team-best 62 yards in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins in his team debut.

Jaguars | Mixed results for Travis Etienne Sun Sep 8, 05:41 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne rushed 12 times for 44 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, while adding two receptions for 15 yards on three targets. However, he also had a costly lost fumble.
Footballguys view: Etienne wasn't that much more involved in the passing game after some coverage that indicated he would be, and he was outproduced and outperformed by Tank Bigsby. He's only a flex play against the Browns next week and appears to have been overdrafted in the 3rd/4th round. |

Jaguars | Tank Bigsby tops the charts Sun Sep 8, 05:39 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby rushed 12 times for a game-high 73 yards in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, and he was not targeted in the pass game.
Footballguys view: Bigsby followed up a great summer with a great season opener after he fizzled in his rookie year. He was better than Travis Etienne running the ball, and Etienne had a costly fumble. Bigsby should be a top waiver wire pickup and problem for Etienne fantasy teams. |

Jaguars | No restrictions for Christian Kirk Wed Sep 4, 01:02 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk (calf) is expected to be a full go for Week 1, head coach Doug Pederson said on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Footballguys view: We're excited to see what QB Trevor Lawrence can do this season. The Jaguars passing attack is going to include quite a bit of Kirk, and that makes him at least a flex play for Fantasy GMs out there. |
Christian Kirk player page
Jaguars | Turnovers an issue for Trevor Lawrence Mon Sep 2, 01:15 AM
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has a league-high 16 lost fumbles since the start of the 2022 season, and his 38 turnovers in that span are the second most in the NFL.
Footballguys view: Turnovers have been an issue, but poor offensive line play has been a more significant issue. Their ability to block for the run and keep Lawrence upright will be critical factors to an offensive turnaround this fall. Lawrence had a career-high 35 sacks last season, and his passer rating, completion percentage, and TD passes dropped, and clearly, his interception rate increased. All that said, the talent is there. Considering he was likely drafted as a fantasy QB2 in most leagues, investors will get to gauge the O-line play before rolling Lawrence out as a potential starter. |

Link to storyJaguars | Louis Rees-Zammit on practice squad Fri Aug 30, 10:57 AM
Free-agent RB Louis Rees-Zammit was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad Thursday, Aug. 29.
Footballguys view: The rugby star was too raw as a football player to make the Chiefs 53 man roster, and apparently the Jaguars had more interest in developing him as an RB/WR/Returner. We'll be monitoring his development because he has top end speed and already understands how to become one of the best in the world at a sport at a young age. |
