Free-agent TE Chris Gragg (Bills) met with the Jacksonville Jaguars Wednesday, March 15.
Footballguys view: He missed all of 2016 with an ACL injury, so the Jaguars could get him on the cheap. A seventh-round pick of Doug Marrone when he was coaching the Bills, the two could reunite with the Jaguars. The team needs some depth at the TE position since trading away Julius Thomas (Dolphins). |

Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor was sharp in red zone drills Wednesday, June 1, hitting TE Chris Gragg for a pair of touchdowns.
Footballguys view: Taylor looked great as a starter for the first time in his career last season with the Bills. He has a strong arm, uncanny deep touch and the ability to gash defenses as a runner. Taylor finished 2015 as the 17th-best fantasy QB in standard-scoring leagues. We feel he should finish as a low-end QB2 once again this year due to the nature of the run-heavy offense in Buffalo. |

Buffalo Bills TE Chris Gragg was considered a long shot to make the 53-man roster, but he is still around and has had a strong training camp and preseason. The team is likely to keep four tight ends, and that bodes well for Gragg.

Buffalo Bills TE Nick O'Leary is not guaranteed of a spot on the 53-man roster, head coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday, Aug. 25. 'I don't know,' Ryan said. 'I can tell you that is some great competition. I like the way (TE Chris Gragg) has really picked his game up, and (TE MarQueis Gray), obviously (TE Matthew Mulligan) brings you the element of being that tremendous blocker.'

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay, who signed a five-year, $38 million deal in the offseason, has been mostly invisible so far at training camp, according to sources. The tight end group led by TEs Clay, Chris Gragg, Nick O'Leary and Matthew Mulligan haven't been blocking very well, either, leading head coach Rex Ryan to try DT Kyle D. Williams as a tight end for better blocking.
Footballguys view: Clay could be a good fantasy tight end with his skillset and talent, but that's not going to happen in this Buffalo offense this season. If you're looking for a talented tight end with a new team, try the guy who replaced Clay in Miami--Jordan Cameron. |

Buffalo Bills TEs Chris Gragg and Dominique Jones may be the only two tight ends that are able to play in the Hall of Fame game because of injuries to TEs Scott Chandler (groin), Tony Moeaki (hamstring) and Lee Smith (leg).
Footballguys view: We're shocked (shocked I tell ya) that Moeaki is banged up. /sarcasm. The Bills will be a bit thin at the position with all those injuries at tight end. We'll see if either Gragg or Jones can take advantage of the opportunity. |

Buffalo Bills TE Chris Gragg likely will enter training camp on the roster bubble and will need to perform well during training camp to convince the team to keep four tight ends.
Footballguys view: There is almost no chance of it happening, but if he has a good camp he could end up as one of three tight ends. He'll need to show he can block or contribute on special team. No matter how it shakes out, he has no fantasy value. |
