Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel caught two passes for 68 yards on four targets against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17. He also rushed for 25 yards on two carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Samuel had the play of the day for the passing game with a 41-yard catch and run. The Commanders only had 41 plays on offense, and they were starting a third-string quarterback in Josh Johnson. A good fit for the Commanders when healthy, Samuel is set to be a free agent in 2026.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (illness) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 12, and is listed as questionable for Week 15.
Footballguys view: Rarely do Friday illnesses result in missed games on Sunday. We'll keep an eye on this and update with new information as it becomes available. If active, Samuel projects as a high-end WR3.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel registered a team-best four receptions for 27 yards on six targets in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Footballguys view: Samuel had his hands on a fourth down pass in the end zone on the opening drive, but couldn't haul it in. The rest of the day was miserable for the Commanders offense, so Samuel was a Week 14 bust. He's just a what-the-heck flex at best against the Giants while we wait to see if Jayden Daniels will be available for Week 15.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel caught seven passes for 74 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. He was targeted eight times during the game. He also rushed for three yards on one carry.
Footballguys view: Samuel broke a few chunk gains and got the only touchdown for the Commanders with a nice PPR foundation of short catches as the #1 target in the McLaurin-less pass offense. He'll go into the bye as a high floor WR3/Flex.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) will be available for the Week 8 game, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Footballguys view: The Commanders need all the help they can get with Marcus Mariota in at quarterback for an injured Jayden Daniels. Samuel has flex appeal in this Monday night matchup against the Chiefs.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 24.
Footballguys view: Samuel played through this heel injury last week and did not look like his usual self. Practicing in full this week is a good sign. Assuming he plays, we're ranking Samuel as a low-end WR2. With Terry McLaurin making his return and Marcus Mariota starting, Samuel might come up a bit short of his season averages in this matchup.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) is set to return to full practice this week, head coach Dan Quinn relayed on Tuesday Oct. 21.
Footballguys view: The Commanders play on Monday night against the Chiefs. If there are no setbacks during the week, Samuel should be out there in Week 8 after missing Week 7. He's a WR2 for Fantasy GMs if Samuel play on Monday night.

Commanders wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel are expected to return to full participation in practice this week. "The plan is to have full weeks of practice for them," head coach Dan Quinn said on SiriusXM's "Movin the Chains," via Ben Standig of lastmanstandig.com.
Footballguys view: The Commanders played Sunday's game against the Cowboys without McLaurin (quad), Samuel (heel), and Noah Brown (groin). Brown is on injured reserve. It was the fourth game McLaurin has missed this season since his injury in Week 3. Samuel has had little practice time the past three weeks, but Sunday's game was the first that he's missed. Quarterback Jayden Daniels avoided a significant injury with his hamstring, which he injured in the second half of the loss to the Cowboys. Still, his status for Monday's game at Kansas City is uncertain.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) has been ruled out of the Week 7 game.
Footballguys view: Samuel was questionable all week with this heel injury, just like he has been for the last few weeks. He played through the injury before, but it looks like he needs some rest. Terry McLaurin is also out of this contest against the Cowboys. That means Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane will be the primary receivers for QB Jayden Daniels. Veteran TE Zach Ertz (shoulder, questionable) is also in line for more targets with Samuel out.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 17, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.
Footballguys view: Samuel was limited on Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. Remember, this is the third week he's been listed as questionable with the same injury. Samuel finished as WR7 overall against the Chargers in Week 5, Jayden Daniels' first week back from a knee injury. But he was WR61 against the Bears this past week, a game that saw Daniels throw three touchdown passes. Now we'll have to wait out a game-time decision in a late-afternoon game against a Dallas defense that's the most generous in the league against opposing wideouts. Make sure you have a pivot in place.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) is expected to play in the Week 6 game even though he is listed as questionable, according to ESPN's Lisa Salters.
Footballguys view: Samuel was listed as questionable to play because of a heel injury, and head coach Dan Quinn said over the weekend that Samuel was set to be a game-time decision. After he played through this injury in Los Angeles last Sunday, it won't be a surprise if he does the same tonight. Samuel has 30 catches for 300 yards and three touchdowns (and a touchdown run) in five games this season. Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown have been ruled out, which would leave Samuel to join Luke McCaffrey, Chris Moore, and Jaylin Lane at receiver on Monday night.

Washington Commanders WR Deebo Samuel (heel) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 9.
Footballguys view: The game against the Bears is on Monday, so Samuel should be good to go for Week 6. Last week, Samuel dealt with this heel injury by missing some practice time then went out there and caught 8-of-11 targets for 96 yards and a touchdown in Washington's Week 5 win against the Chargers. He's a WR1 for Fantasy GMs in Week 6.

Footballguys view: After back-to-back DNPs to start the week, it's great to see Samuel off the injury report. Samuel has notoriously struggled when playing through injuries. But in a game with no Terry McLaurin or Noah Brown, the Commanders may be forced to lean on him. Jayden Daniels is set to make his return from a knee sprain in this game.
