Financial terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey, who was expected to be traded or released before training camp, has remained in 'great touch' with Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay since the Rams traded him to the Dolphins just over two years ago.'He is a total stud and you look at - obviously he has continued to play at a really high level. He and I have kept in great touch even since we ended up trading him to Miami. Special competitor, great person, great father. And so there are a lot of layers when you're talking about a player of his caliber, with regards to the contract, the compensation that they would be looking for in exchange for receiving a player of his magnitude. And so those conversations are ongoing as I'm sure they are with multiple teams. And we'll see, but we're never gonna shy away from opportunities to increase the competitiveness of our roster or add great players as long as it fits within the framework of everything that an acquisition like that would entail,' McVay told Adam Schein of SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio recently.

Green Bay Packers third-round draft choice WR Savion Williams (Texas Christian), fourth-round draft choice DL Barryn Sorrell (Texas), fifth-round draft choice DE Collin Oliver (Oklahoma State), sixth-round draft choice DT Warren Brinson (Georgia) and seventh-round draft choices CB Micah Robinson (Tulane) and OL John Williams (Cincinnati) signed their four-year rookie contracts on Thursday, May 1. Financial terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed.
Footballguys view: Savion Williams is the player we're most excited about here, and Fantasy GMs should follow suit. Super athletic and with size, Williams reminds some in the scouting community of Nico Collins (Texans). He can take the top off the defense, and Williams has strength after the catch too. With refined route-running and improved concentration, Williams could end up being a steal for the Packers - and for dynasty GMs out there. |
Free-agent RB Nyheim Hines (Browns) worked out for the Houston Texans on Thursday, May 1.
Footballguys view: Hines hasn't played football since the 2022 season when he split time with the Colts and the Bills. He missed all of 2023 due to an accident involving a jet ski, and he couldn't get right last year with the Browns. He was declared out for the remainder of the 2024 season in late October. If healthy, the veteran back can help out in passing situations. The Texans may just be updating their emergency list here. |

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $76.4 million earlier this week, but not before an unnamed team offered the 49ers a second-round draft pick during the 2025 NFL Draft.
Footballguys view: A second-round pick would have been a good deal for both sides, but the 49ers wanted to keep Kittle around as a key piece for their offense. Entering his age-32 season, with his new deal Kittle is under contract through 2029. Last year, Kittle finished with 78 catches for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns. That was good for the best tight end mark in standard-scoring leagues, and Kittle has been a top-3 fantasy tight end in ever season but two in his pro career. |

Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford reportedly agreed to a reworked contract on Friday, May 2, that will lower his base salary from $3.486 million in 2025 to a guaranteed $1.75 million, according to a source.
Footballguys view: The Browns revamped their running back room with the addition of second-round RB Quinshon Judkins (Ohio State). We should see Judkins as the lead back, and he brings a blend of power and speed to the field. Ford is competing to be the primary change-of-pace back for the Browns this year. He'll compete with another rookie, Dylan Sampson (Tennessee) for that spot. |
Dallas Cowboys first-round draft choice OG Tyler Booker (Alabama) reportedly signed his four-year rookie contract worth $22.553 million - including a $13 million signing bonus - on Friday, May 2. The deal also includes a fifth-year team option.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers CB Jaire Alexander would prefer to be cut so he can choose his destination. In the opinion of SI.com's Albert Breer, the most likely scenario, though, is he returns to Green Bay on a revised contract.

Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen isn't looking past the 2025 season, but his family wanted him to play this season.
Footballguys view: Thielen chose to play one more year after consulting his family. He reworked his contract to make it essentially a one-year, $8.5 million deal for 2025. Thielen can still produce, even though the Panthers have added more talent to the room this offseason (mainly in the draft). Last year, Thielen caught 48 passes for 615 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games. Now, with first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan as likely the lead receiver we should see Thielen work as a solid veteran/no.3 option for QB Bryce Young. |

Free-agent RB Nick Chubb (Browns) is still very much wanted by the Cleveland Browns, but the Chicago Bears are reportedly serious about signing him as well, according to Ken Carman of 92.3 The Fan.'The Browns want to bring Nick Chubb back. They are trying hard to bring Nick back. I know this. The Bears are very serious about bringing him in and are trying to make this push,' Carman said.
Footballguys view: If healthy, Chubb could still play at a high level. He hasn't been the same since getting banged up early in the 2023 season. Chubb certainly didn't look like himself last year, only gaining 332 yards on 103 carries in eight games. If added by the Bears, Chubb would compete with D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson for touches in that backfield. |

Link to storyTennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks had his fifth-year option declined Thursday, May 1.
Footballguys view: No surprise here. The former first-round pick has failed to play up to expectations due to health mainly. He's still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 5 last season. The room is even more full this year with veteran additions and draft picks, so there's no guarantee Burks will make the final roster in what is clearly a 'prove-it' season. |
The Los Angeles Chargers did not exercise the fifth-year option on OG Zion Johnson, per The Athletic's Daniel Popper.
Link to storyDetroit Lions WR Jameson Williams had his fifth-year option picked up on Friday, April 25, but it's unclear if the team will sign a long-term extension with Williams. GM Brad Holmes said the team is 'taking it as it goes' in regards to a extension for Williams, and Holmes added that 'you just don't know what's going to happen' due to the cost associated with wide receiver contracts.
Footballguys view: There's no need to rush a deal right now with Williams under contract through the 2026 season. He played up to his potential in 2024 (finally), and the former first-round pick compiled career highs in catches (58), yards (1,001), and touchdowns (7). Lions GM Brad Holmes said the team did not entertain offers for Williams during the draft. If he continues to stay healthy and produce, Williams will earn that extension in a year or so. |
Undrafted free-agent DT Junior Tafuna (Utah) signed a three-year deal with the Houston Texans that includes $200,000 in guarantees.

Link to storyPaul Dehner Jr, from The Athletic, reports Cincinnati Bengals RB Samaje Perine could play a reduced role compared to what he did in his prior stint with the team.
Footballguys view: This is now Perine's third time with the Bengals, with the latest being from 2020-2022. After a couple of seasons with the Broncos and Chiefs, Perine is back to serve as a backup option behind starter Chase Brown. If he's playing a smaller role than previously, Perine could catch 25-30 passes this year with the Bengals when Brown needs a breather. |

Free-agent WR Collin Johnson (Bears) signed an undisclosed contract with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, May 1.
Footballguys view: Coming out of Texas, Johnson was a fifth-round pick for the Jaguars in the 2020 NFL draft, and he's bounced around the league since then. In 2022, Johnson tore his Achilles' and missed the entire season for the Giants. He's spent the last two years with the Bears as a reserve receiver. The Raiders spent draft capital at the receiver position this year, so Johnson will be hard pressed to make the final roster. |

Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. added a 'little bit of muscle mass' and has 'really (gone) to work' on some of the areas of his game he wanted to improve this offseason, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon.'I'm not going to speak truth into the universe, but just wait until this guy plays this year,' Gannon told Mad Dog Sports Radio.
Footballguys view: Harrison could take a big leap in production this year. The 2024 no.4 overall pick had a solid rookie season with 885 yards and eight touchdowns. Harrison has the skill set to be utilized in all sorts of different ways. As a rookie, Harrison ran plenty of vertical routes. This year, we should see more of a variety to get him involved early and often. We like him as a WR2 with upside in 2025. |
Tennessee Titans fourth-round draft choice WR Elic Ayomanor (Stanford) will 'start his work at X receiver but has the flexibility to do more,' according to head coach Brian Callahan.
Footballguys view: Ayomanor has smooth speed and the ability to run good routes. His game is somewhat polished already, and he should be able to improve with pro coaching. We like his hands, concentration, and ability to box out smaller defenders. He will serve as a reserve player this year for the Titans, but the upside is there for him to be a starter (likely at X receiver) someday. |
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jahan Dotson and OG Kenyon Green didn't have their fifth-year option exercised Thursday, May 1.
Footballguys view: Dotson was a first-round pick of the Washington Commanders back in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Eagles picked him up last year via trade in August, and he started six games for his new team. Dotson caught just 19 passes for 216 yards with zero touchdowns, and he'll continue to be a speed option for the Eagles in 2025. With no fifth-year option, Doton will be an unrestricted free agent in 2026. |
New York Giants DE Abdul Carter also received a prank phone call during the 2025 NFL Draft around the time the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to the No. 2 pick. The caller said the Jaguars were taking him, but Carter knew it was fraudulent, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Footballguys view: That makes about four players who were pranked during the draft. The Shedeur Sanders prank call got the most attention, but Carter and others had to go through the same thing. We'll see if the NFL cracks down on these other callers just like they did on the Sanders prankster. |
