Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson and Louisiana State University TE Mason Taylor are reportedly the two players that the Cleveland Browns are eyeing with their two second-round selections on Friday, April 25 (Nos. 33 and 36 overall).
Link to storyUniversity of Miami (Fla.) QB Cam Ward was selected with the first overall pick by the Tennessee Titans in the 2025 NFL Draft, but not before the New York Giants reportedly offered the No. 3 overall pick, their 2026 first-round selection and 'other picks' to move up, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Link to storyUniversity of Alabama OG Tyler Booker was selected with the 12th overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2025 NFL Draft, but not before the Houston Texans made a push to acquire the pick, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones on 105.3 The Fan.
Link to storyOhio State WR Emeka Egbuka was reportedly a trade-up target for the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans before he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 19th pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.'My understanding was that there were two teams both trying to trade up: It was the Texans and the Rams. And the moment the Bucs surprised everybody by taking Emeka Egbuka, the receiver from Ohio State, the calls stopped. Those teams were calling all the teams above them and, all of a sudden, the calls stopped. So that's the belief that Egbuka was the guy,' Pelissero told The Dan Patrick Show.
Footballguys view: The Buccaneers threw a bit of a curveball at no.19 overall with the pick of Egbuka. Now that the Rams and Texans are still in the wide receiver market, we'll see if they make a move on Day 2 of the draft. |
Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens has reportedly been the subject of multiple calls from teams interested in trading for him as the Steelers attempt to reclaim a second-round pick they lost as a result of trading for DK Metcalf, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
Footballguys view: Pickens has reportedly been on the trading block for some time now. The Steelers have DK Metcalf as their top receiver, and they may be moving on from Pickens if the price is right. Oh yeah, they need to figure out the quarterback situation too. |

Louisiana State University TE Mason Taylor is reportedly the target of the New York Jets with the No. 42 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday, April 25. However, the belief is Taylor is unlikely to fall that far, according to Sportskeeda's Tony Pauline.
Footballguys view: The Jets could have been in the market for Tyler Warren (Penn State) if OT Armand Membou wasn't on the board when they picked in the first round. They went with the offensive lineman in the first round, so now it's time to look at tight end. Taylor can make an immediate impact in this league because of his size and hands. |
Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Friday, April 25, that he doesn't 'feel the need to reach' when asked about selecting a running back in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Cowboys currently have Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis vying for backfield snaps.
Footballguys view: Sitting at no.12 overall in the first round, some felt the Cowboys may go with Omarion Hampton (North Carolina). Instead, they build their offensive line with OG Tyler Booker (Alabama) in the first round. This is an incredibly deep draft at the running back position, so the Cowboys could find a really good player in the second or third round. |

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter will reportedly get the chance to begin his NFL career by working primarily with the team's wide receivers, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Footballguys view: Hunter was arguably the best wide receiver in this class while also being the best cornerback in this class. He wants to play on both sides of the ball full time, and that's a big dream. For now, it seems like Hunter will work mostly on the offensive side while getting defensive reps as a reserve corner. |
Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan was the team's first-round pick at No. 8 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. QB Bryce Young reportedly felt strong enough about him that he walked into the offices of head coach Dave Canales and general Dan Morgan before the draft and told them: 'We need to pick this guy.'
Footballguys view: Young looked better after getting benched last year. McMillan is going to help him look even better this year. The big-bodied rookie has some Drake London/Mike Evans to his game and can command the football. As Young continues to develop into a better passer, McMillan rises up fantasy rankings. |

Dallas Cowboys OG Tyler Smith had his 2026 fifth-year option exercised Friday, April 25.
Link to storyDetroit Lions WR Jameson Williams' fifth-year player option in 2026 was exercised Friday, April 25.
Footballguys view: The Lions had high hopes for Williams when they made him a top-12 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Finally healthy in 2024, Williams had career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Now, the team has Williams under contract through the 2026 season. |
Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson's fifth-year player option in 2026 was exercised Friday, April 25.
Link to storyIndianapolis Colts TE Tyler Warren was 'targeted' by the team for months leading up to the draft, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder, who says that with his skills as both a blocker and pass catcher, Warren will 'rarely leave the field' as a rookie.
Footballguys view: Many thought Warren would be long gone by the time the Colts picked at no.14 overall. He was on the board, and the Colts seemingly rushed to turn the card in that selected the Penn State product. Warren has a "TE" next to his name, but he's really an offensive weapon who can be used all over the field. He should immediately contribute and become a favorite target of QB Anthony Richardson. |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka feels like a 'luxury pick,' in the opinion of ESPN, which notes the team's depth at the receiver position makes it unclear if Egbuka would even be one of the team's top-three receivers in 2025.
Footballguys view: The Buccaneers have to think about the future at the wide receiver position with aging veterans like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the roster. Egbuka is a player with 'my ball' mentality (a former high school DB), and he does not back down from a challenge in coverage. He'll be able to learn alongside those quality veterans, and it won't take long for QB Baker Mayfield to love throwing him the ball. |
Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton offers 'considerably more juice' than veteran RB Najee Harris and has the potential to be the full-time No. 1 back as a rookie, in the opinion of The Athletic's Daniel Popper, who adds that Hampton can 'change the identity' of LA's offense.
Footballguys view: Hampton is a powerful runner who chooses violence with the ball in his hands. He has good vision and will punish opponents who meet him in the hole. Hampton is also a good receiving option out of the backfield, so he could have a three-down role if called upon. It will be interesting to see how Hampton works in concert with Harris in the Chargers backfield. |

Green Bay Packers WR Matthew Golden could play and contribute 'a lot' as a rookie, according to comments from GM Brian Gutekunst, who mentioned Golden's 'elite speed' and indicated the Packers thought Golden had 'some of the best hands' in this year's draft.
Footballguys view: Golden can flat out fly down the field. One of the fastest players at his position, Golden will take the top off the defense. Jordan Love will have plenty of opportunities to hit Golden on field-flipping plays in 2025. |
Kansas City Chiefs OT Josh Simmons (knee) is 'recovering nicely' from his torn patellar tendon, and the team is comfortable with his ongoing rehab, per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
