Rams | Kamren Kinchens hits double digits Sun Sep 14, 07:40 PM
Los Angeles Rams S Kamren Kinchens posted game highs with 10 total stops and seven solo tackles in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storyLos Angeles Rams RB Blake Corum ran five times for 44 yards and his first NFL touchdown in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. He was not targeted in the pass game.
Footballguys view: Corum should be added in all but short bench leagues. He could be a matchup flex if he keeps getting goal line carries, and Corum showed more juice than Kyren Williams in the win over the Titans. |
Los Angeles Rams TE Davis Allen had an 8-yard touchdown on his lone target in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee posted four receptions for 37 yards on four targets in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Los Angeles Rams WR Tutu Atwell did not have a reception on one target in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Los Angeles Rams WR Jordan Whittington had two receptions for 42 yards on two targets in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storyLos Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua ended up with eight receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, while posting a 45-yard touchdown run on his only attempt.
Footballguys view: Nacua's 45-yard rushing score would leave many running backs envious. The Rams emphasized Davante Adams more early in the game, but Nacua can't be held down for long. He may end up being the most valuable receiver in fantasy football this season - if he and Matthew Stafford can stay healthy. |
Puka Nacua player page
Los Angeles Rams WR Davante Adams posted six receptions for a game-high 106 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.
Footballguys view: The Rams wanted to feature Adams more this week, and they did with excellent results. There's no doubt that Puka Nacua is the most valuable receiver in this offense, but Adams can still be good enough to be an every-week high floor WR2 start. He and the Rams will be tested by the Eagles next week. |
Davante Adams player page
Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams ran 17 for a team-best 66 yards in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, while adding two receptions for 14 yards on two targets.
Footballguys view: Williams gave way to Blake Corum at the goal line, and Corum's touch share was up to about 1/3 of the backfield work, in a bad sign for Williams weekly ceiling going forward. He's more RB2 than RB1 for fantasy, and going against a tough Eagles defense in Week 3. |
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford completed 23-of-33 passes for 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, and he ran twice for minus-6 yards.
Footballguys view: Stafford had a strong game even though his offensive guard duo is banged up and the Titans best defender is a defensive tackle. He got Davante Adams more involved today and showed he can be playable as a QB2/Superflex in the right matchup. Next week vs. the defending champion Eagles is probably not that matchup. |

Cincinnati Bengals WR Andrei Iosivas and TE Drew Sample each had one catch apiece in the Week 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Iosivas had a 12-yard catch on his only touch on five targets, while Sample had a 7-yard grab on two targets.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Mitchell Tinsley had a 13-yard touchdown reception on his only target in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cincinnati Bengals TE Noah Fant posted three catches for 28 yards on four targets in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins posted three receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Footballguys view: Higgins had two Jaguar defenders bounce off of him on his long touchdown catch and run to salvage a decent fantasy day. Jake Browning is bold with the football and can keep Higgins a viable WR3/Flex play, but there's no understating the impact of the loss of Joe Burrow for "several" weeks on this offense. |

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase ended up with 14 receptions, 165 yards and a touchdown on 16 targets in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Footballguys view: Chase may prove to be the kind of receiver that transcends his quarterback play like Randy Moss or Justin Jefferson. It will be a great test of what his value will be without Joe Burrow next week against the team those receivers were drafted by - the Minnesota Vikings. |

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson caught nine of his team-high 12 targets for 78 yards in Week 2 against the New York Giants.
Link to storyCincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown ran 16 times for just 47 yards in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, while adding two receptions for 18 yards on three targets.
Footballguys view: Jake Browning vultured a touchdown or Brown would have been adequate for fantasy, but there's no sugarcoating what the loss of Joe Burrow will do to Brown's fantasy stock. Consider him a low ceiling RB2 against the Vikings next week. |

Dallas Cowboys WR KaVontae Turpin (neck) caught all four of his targets for 47 yards and a touchdown and ran for six yards on two carries in Week 2 against the New York Giants before leaving with a neck injury.
Footballguys view: It appears Turpin avoided serious injury, according to NFL Network's Jane Slater. He was wearing a neck brace, according to her, though. Slater noted that Turpin's x-rays came out good, which is the most important thing. The Cowboys will surely provide some updates on Turpin as the week moves along. We'll follow up as the week progresses. |
Cincinnati Bengals QB Jake Browning completed 21-of-32 passes for 241 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, taking over for the injured QB Joe Burrow (toe). He also ran once for a 1-yard touchdown.
Footballguys view: Browning will be a top priority on superflex waiver wires, but he's a boom/bust play in 1QB leagues, with a tough matchup against the Vikings next week. He showed he can support Ja'Marr Chase's value, but Browning also had multiple poor decisions that resulted in interceptions and will need to tighten up his play in Week 3. |

Cincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson registered three total stops, including two of the solo variety, with a sack, a tackle for loss, a pass defensed and three quarterback hits in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cincinnati Bengals S Daxton Hill posted a game-best nine solo stops with a tackle for loss, a pass defensed and an interception in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Link to storyUpdating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers LB Alex Highsmith (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain during the Week 2 game, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Jacksonville Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen and LB Travon Walker each posted three quarterback hits in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hines-Allen had six total stops with four solo tackles, while Walker had five stops, three of the solo variety, a sack, a tackle for loss and a pass defensed, too.

Jacksonville Jaguars LB Foyesade Oluokun registered seven total stops with three solo stops in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also added a sack, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit.

Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jourdan Lewis posted a team-high eight total stops, including five of the solo variety, with two tackles for loss and a pass defensed in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dallas Cowboys RB Miles Sanders rushed five times for 15 yards and a touchdown and caught both of his targets for four yards in Week 2 versus the New York Giants.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter ended up with three catches for 22 yards on six targets in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while posting two solo tackles and a pass defensed.
Footballguys view: Hunter's most impactful plays - good and bad - came on defense in this one. He isn't having a big impact as a receiver out of the gate, and Trevor Lawrence isn't playing well enough to expect Hunter to be a good fantasy start against the tough Texans defense in Week 3. Stash the #2 overall pick on your bench for now. |
Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta caught three passes for 26 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. He was targeted four times during the game.
Footballguys view: LaPorta was the best fantasy passcatcher for the Lions while they struggled in Week 1, but he wasn't targeted much in a much easier game against the Bears that unlocked the downfield passing game. The Lions did throw a touchdown to a tight end, but it was Brock Wright. LaPorta is still a top five play against the Ravens next week. |
Sam LaPorta player page
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. posted four receptions for 49 yards on a team-high 12 targets in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Footballguys view: Thomas had a key drop in the red zone on fourth down that let the Bengals have a chance to win and just didn't look like the player who dominated in the second half of his rookie year. Maybe we should give Mac Jones - who had a great game against New Orleans in a Week 2 win - more credit for Thomas's breakout. It's not crazy to put Thomas on your bench if you have a receiver who has outscored him in both of the first two games because the Jaguars face a big step up in defensive quality against Houston in Week 3. |
Detroit Lions TE Brock Wright caught three passes for 28 yards and one touchdown against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. He was targeted three times during the game.
Link to storyBrock Wright player page
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Dyami Brown registered five receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he was targeted seven times.
Footballguys view: Brown also dropped another easy touchdown, so an even bigger game was there. He has been the most valuable Jaguars receiver in fantasy leagues so far, but he and the Jaguars offense should be held in check against Houston next week, who has a much tougher defense than the Panthers or Bengals, the Jaguars first two opponents. |

Detroit Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa caught one pass for 29 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. He was targeted one time during the game.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys RB Javonte Williams carried 18 times for 97 yards and a touchdown and added six catches on seven targets for 33 yards in Week 2 against the New York Giants.
Link to storyJavonte Williams player page
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Parker Washington registered five receptions for a game-high 76 yards on five targets in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Footballguys view: Washington doesn't have lasting fantasy value, but he and Dyami Brown putting up better stats than Brian Thomas and Travis Hunter has to be distressing for fantasy players who spent for the Jaguars top two receivers. |
Parker Washington player page
Jacksonville Jaguars RB LeQuint Allen Jr. ran twice for 13 yards in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the third-string rookie was not targeted in the passing game.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars RB Bhayshul Tuten ran eight times for 42 yards in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while adding two receptions for 32 yards and his first NFL touchdown on two targets.
Footballguys view: With the trade of Tank Bigsby to the Eagles, Tuten is the clear RB2 in Jacksonville. He juked a defender out of their jockstrap on his touchdown catch and run and looked like he is going to translate to the NFL field as one of the more athletic backs in the league. He should be picked up in all leagues as a high injury upside backup, but know that a lot of players are going to have good games against the Bengals defense this season. |
Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott finished 38-of-52 for 361 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Week 2 versus the New York Giants. Prescott also added 17 yards rushing on three attempts.
Footballguys view: Prescott didn't really start clicking with his receivers until the second quarter, but more than made up for lost time in the instant classic 40-37 overtime win. He'll face a Bears defense next week that just gave up a fiftyburger to the Lions in Week 2, so he's a solid fantasy QB1 for Week 3. |
Dak Prescott player page
Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams caught two passes for 108 yards and one touchdown against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. He was targeted four times during the game.
Link to storyNew York Giants TE Theo Johnson caught four of his five targets for 34 yards in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne rushed 14 times for a game-high 71 yards in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, while adding two receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown on three targets.
Footballguys view: Etienne showed Week 1 was probably not a fluke with another strong game against a Bengals defense that shut down the Browns meager running game in Week 1. Etienne is startable in fantasy leagues against the Texans next week, but we should lower expectations across the Jaguars offense in a tough matchup. |
Travis Etienne Jr. player page
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence completed 24-of-42 passes for 271 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also ran twice for four yards while recovering his own fumble.
Footballguys view: Lawrence had a good fantasy game against the abysmal Bengals defense, but he still made mistakes and seemed out of synch with his receivers at times. He's going to face a much tougher Texans defense next week and shouldn't be in fantasy lineups. The Jaguars passing game is going to remain a work in progress. |
