Bills | Buffalo claims Quentin Skinner off waivers Tue Jul 14, 05:05 PM
Former New York Jets WR Quentin Skinner was claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, July 14. The Bills also terminated the contract of WR Deven Thompkins.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys DE Charles Snowden has been suspended for the first three games of the 2026 NFL season, but is eligible to participate in all preseason activities, including games. His suspension will take effect as of the roster reduction to 53 players, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday, July 14.
Footballguys view: Last season, Snowden posted a career high in sacks with three for the Raiders in 15 games played. Snowden played in 15 games for Las Vegas, adding 28 tackles, five tackles for loss, and his first career interception. Heading into his fifth season in the NFL, Snowden is tied with James Houston and Sam Williams as the second-most experienced pass rusher on the Cowboys' roster. The Cowboys will manage without him during the suspension.

Denver Broncos RB Jonah Coleman reportedly looked ready for instant snaps in OTAs and minicamp this summer, and could spell J.K. Dobbins for short-yardage touches in the early going and pick up plenty of slack if anyone in the room misses time, in the opinion of The Denver Post's Luca Evans on Tuesday, July 14.
Footballguys view: It wouldn't be a surprise if the hard-nosed, decisive Coleman, who runs with urgency between the tackles, earns a contributing role. But from a fantasy perspective, the rookie opens the year as insurance for the oft-injured J.K. Dobbins after RJ Harvey came up short as a runner when Dobbins went down last year. But Coleman will be a fantasy afterthought if Dobbins remains in the locked and upright position all season long. The rookie's RB50 ADP reflects that likelihood.

Denver Broncos RB Tyler Badie and RB Jaleel McLaughlin are battling for one spot on the team's depth chart, according to the Denver Post's Luca Evans.
Footballguys view: Denver generally keeps four running backs on their active roster. With J.K. Dobbins, RJ Harvey, and rookie Jonah Coleman all but certain to be at the top of the depth chart, Badie and McLaughlin will be battling for that final opening. The winner of that competition will only be fantasy relevant if there are injuries ahead of him.
New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart could be used to carry the ball in both RPOs and designed quarterback runs, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Footballguys view: While we might not see as many designed runs as last year, we'll see Dart run. Harbaugh said that he sees a chance to do "a lot of the stuff that we did in Baltimore with Lamar [Jackson]," in terms of attacking defenses in multiple ways. A concussion kept Dart out of two games, and concussion checks forced him out of parts of other contests. Still, Harbaugh downplayed concerns by again citing Jackson. "You say something like that to Lamar, and he kinda just looks at you like you've got three heads," Harbaugh said. Dart likely feels the same.
New York Jets QB Geno Smith was previously accused of assault, and the case is now considered 'inactive,' according to the Davie (FL) Police Department.
Footballguys view: While the Davie Police report concludes no further investigative steps can be reasonably taken with the information presently available, Smith is still in the news. The New York Post obtained body-cam footage from police in Florida who pulled Smith over for a third time due to speeding violations. For the second time in a matter of weeks, he failed to produce a license inside the vehicle. The NFL won't suspend a quarterback for speeding unless it leads to harm to civilians. But the Jets have a very clear issue to deal with when camp opens in two weeks.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is expected to stay with the team and not be traded to the Washington Commanders 'at this stage,' according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Footballguys view: For months, we've been hearing about the Commanders making a move to land a receiver to complement Terry McLaurin. Aiyuk has been the player most frequently mentioned. Aiyuk's college quarterback at Arizona State was Daniels, but that connection won't spur a reunion. While Aiyuk is likely out of the picture, the Commanders may still be able to upgrade their receiving corps before training camp kicks off. One name who's still out there is Stefon Diggs, and he's coming off his seventh 1,000-yard season in the past eight years.

Detroit Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa is stronger and more athletic heading into his second year, according to wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery. 'He's done a good job of going and getting the football since he's been here and then now at the top of his breaks, they're so much cleaner,' Montgomery said 'He's so much stronger. What I like to do is I like to watch where we were, especially from an athleticism standpoint, to where he is now. It's not even close.'
Footballguys view: Short-area quickness is valuable in the Lions' offense; it's part of why Amon-Ra St. Brown has been one of the most consistent receivers since joining the league in 2021. TeSlaa's bigger, but if he can mix his size with a faster get-off, he's going to attract more looks from Jared Goff on Sundays. TeSlaa's impact was limited as a rookie. Still, he finished strong with 12 catches, 174 yards, and four touchdowns in the final six games of the season. A stronger, faster, and smarter version of what we saw last year could lead to a more robust role.
WR Malik Nabers (knee) is expected to work his "way into practice as [training] camp gets started in one way or another," head coach John Harbaugh said, via ESPN.
Footballguys view: Nabers and teammate Cam Skattebo are each on schedule and doing better each day, Harbaugh said, though Skattebo is further ahead than Nabers, "based on the type of injury, but Malik is not far behind. He's in a good place right now." With all the uncertainty, Nabers has fallen to WR14 in ongoing drafts. That third-round price leaves a lot of room for upside -- but obviously comes with considerable risk at this point. We'll all be eager to see what the plan is for Nabers when training camp opens, and we start to gain clarity on his progress.

49ers tight end George Kittle has targeted Week 1 for his return since tearing his right Achilles in a Jan. 11 playoff game against the Eagles. Fullback Kyle Juszczyk expressed optimism over the weekend that Kittle will play in the season opener against the Rams in Australia. "I really [do] feel that way," Juszczyk said. "I was so impressed by the way he was moving [at Tight End U], and I was impressed the last week of OTAs, how he was moving . . . I was like, 'Wow, I really do think there is a chance that he's ready for Week 1.'"
Footballguys view: Kittle was limited to 11 regular-season games due to hamstring and ankle injuries. He then required surgery to repair his Achilles tendon after the playoff victory over Philadelphia, missing the divisional playoff loss to the Seahawks. Kittle has repeatedly said he is ahead of schedule in his rehab, but the 49ers are sure to be deliberate with his practice schedule. We'll be monitoring Kittle's progress closely when veterans report to training camp next week.

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) is on schedule with his rehab and is expected to participate early in training camp, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Footballguys view: As Empire Sports Media's Alexander Wilson suggested, early participation is not the same thing as a full green light for every drill, every contact rep, or every preseason series. Still, Skattebo has already been seen doing individual work and taking part in team periods during the offseason program, so the ramp-up has been heading in the right direction for a while. A healthy August gives Skattebo time to regain his timing in the run game and get back into the pass-protection work that is harder to judge in spring practices.
New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson rushed for at least 40 yards four times during the 2025 season, which was tied for second most in the NFL.
Footballguys view: The only player with more was Jahmyr Gibbs with six. Henderson tied De'Von Achane, James Cook, Derrick Henry, and Jonathan Taylor. But according to NBC Boston's Phil Perry, here's where an increased workload for Henderson could pay off in 2026. Those four backs averaged a long run every 74 attempts. Henderson averaged one every 45. As Henderson continues to develop his instincts as a runner as he gets more comfortable in this Patriots offense, you could see even more explosive plays from him in 2026.
Free-agent WR Stefon Diggs (Patriots) has received interest from at least five teams leading up to the start of training camps.
Footballguys view: The identities of the clubs that are considering Diggs are unknown, though the Ravens, Chiefs, and Commanders have been mentioned as rumored suitors during the spring. Although he admits he's probably no longer a top-tier wide receiver, Diggs also apparently is confident that he is better than any team's current No. 2 target. It's a fair argument after he produced 1,000 yards in New England coming off an ACL tear and playing about 55% of the snaps. He feels like he can be even better due to offseason training with no injury concern. We'll be watching for more.

Los Angeles Rams OT Alaric Jackson will reportedly not face a felony charge after he was arrested on a domestic violence charge in June. Jackson could still be subject to discipline by the NFL under its personal conduct policy.
Footballguys view: Jackson was arrested on June 8 on what police told ESPN was a charge for "a person who willfully inflicts corporal injury" against a spouse. In 2024, Jackson served a two-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy. The Rams signed Jackson to a three-year, $57 million contract extension in February 2025. We'll continue to watch this one, but Jackson's availability is big. Footballguy Matt Bitonti, our offensive line analyst, said the Rams would fall from 14 to 24 in his offensive line rankings without Jackson. Journeyman David Quessenberry is the next man up at the position.
New York Jets WR Quentin Skinner (undisclosed) was waived from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, July 13.
Link to storyVia Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Baker Mayfield reveals in the upcoming season of Quarterback that, in 2025, he played with a sprained MCL and PCL in his knee from Week 2 on. Mayfield also had a "bad biceps contusion" in his throwing arm, and he injured the shoulder of his non-throwing arm.
Footballguys view: As Profootballtalk.com notes, if Mayfield had a knee injury for that much of the season, it didn't show up in the injury reports. "Knee" wasn't listed at all until Week 8. It underscores the fact that the NFL's injury-reporting rules don't contain nearly enough information. Sometimes, players don't tell the team about their injuries. Sometimes, players get treatment away from the team's facility. Whatever the case, Mayfield finished last year as QB12 -- although his points per game ranked 19th. Mayfield is being drafted as QB20.

Green Bay Packers LB Isaiah McDuffie signed a contract extension with the Packers Monday, July 13. Terms of the extension were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: McDuffie was previously entering the last season of a two-year contract he signed with the club in the 2025 offseason. A sixth-round pick in the 2021 draft, McDuffie has appeared in 80 games with 38 starts. In 2025, he appeared in all 17 regular-season games with 12 starts. He finished the season with 92 total tackles, a sack, and an interception. He was on the field for 45 percent of the team's defensive snaps and 72 percent of special teams snaps last year.

Arizona Cardinals TE Tip Reiman (ankle) will make the 53-man roster if he is healthy for the start of the 2026 season, in the opinion of CardsWire's Jess Root.
Footballguys view: Known for his blocking prowess, Reiman played in all 17 games, starting nine, as a rookie, logging 450 snaps on offense and 189 on special teams. He had six catches for 37 yards. In 2025, his season ended in Week 4 when he suffered a season-ending ankle injury. He had three catches for 18 yards in four games and three starts. Working primarily as a blocker behind Trey McBride, Reiman has no fantasy value.
Los Angeles Rams TE Colby Parkinson had 20 catches for 217 yards and five touchdowns in the final five games of the 2025 season.
Footballguys view: Parkinson was a key player in 13 personnel packages, operating as the Rams' TE1 just about the entire year. But he's also one of five tight ends expected to make the Rams' 53-man roster, so it's a crowded room. Parkinson is expected to remain the Rams' No. 1 tight end, but he could lose playing time when the Rams go to 11 personnel. Those packages could skew more toward Terrance Ferguson, who functions like a receiver with his catch radius and athleticism. Ferguson could wind up being a de facto slot receiver, with Parkinson getting more blocking reps.

Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor led the league with 323 rushes last season, and the team wants to reduce his workload. 'We definitely need to find ways to take some of that workload off him,' running backs coach DeAndre Smith said. 'If I can find another guy or two that can take some of those carries off, he's just going to be that much better.'
Footballguys view: As the Colts ramp up for the 2026 season, their usage of Taylor is something the Colts admit they need to navigate. But the problem is obvious. "It's hard to take him off the field when he's running so good," HC Shane Steichen said. No doubt. Taylor has rushed for 1,431 and 1,585 yards, respectively, in the past two seasons. Given his elite production and with DJ Giddens and Seth McGowan failing to impress to date, fantasy investors shouldn't expect a significant shift in Taylor's workload.

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton could benefit from more one-on-one matchups thanks to the addition of WR Jaylen Waddle, while TE Evan Engram also is in the mix to stretch defenses. 'Courtland is an elite playmaker, so anytime you have a playmaker on the other side of you, it just makes it easy,' Waddle said. 'It's someone that the defense has to be looking for, and vice versa.'
Footballguys view: Sutton will undoubtedly remain one of Bo Nix's go-to targets, but with target competition from Waddle. While that's not ideal, Sutton, who finished as WR14 last year and WR11 the year before, has fallen to WR36, being drafted in the sixth round (75th overall). At the very least, Sutton will continue to be a major presence in the red zone and as a chain-mover on third downs for the franchise. Those have been valuable mainstays for him throughout his career and could allow him to outperform ADP this year.

Jaylen Waddle player page
Denver Broncos TE Evan Engram could be a beneficiary from the addition of WR Jaylen Waddle, helping to boost his production, as defenses key on two top-tier wideouts in Waddle and WR Courtland Sutton.
Footballguys view: While that's possible, fantasy investors have low expectations after Engram's disappearing act last year. Look for a similar outcome this -- albeit with potentially higher efficiencies in the red zone with the addition of Waddle, creating more spacing in compressed areas. Still, as Footballguy Matt Waldman suggests, unless Engram generates 90-100 targets or 8-10 scores, we shouldn't expect a return to starting fantasy TE status in most formats. His TE35 ADP reflects that outlook.

Denver Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle has impressed head coach Sean Payton and the coaching staff since being acquired from the Miami Dolphins. 'He's someone who picks things up real quick,' Payton said in June. 'You can just feel his instincts, his quickness and his ability to not only run fast but stop fast. So, he's doing well.' Payton added that catering to each receiver's unique skill set will be critical in 2026.
Footballguys view: Waddle has been one of the league's most explosive playmakers over the last several seasons, and his 15.0 yards per reception since 2022 are the third-most in the NFL. He also led the league with 18.1 yards per reception in 2022. QB Bo Nix believes Waddle's speed and efficiency could unlock new opportunities for Denver's offense. "There's a level of explosiveness that a guy like that adds," Nix explained. "You just can't replace speed. That's just what he brings to the table." With a WR23 APD, Waddle could be a significant value.

Tennessee Titans TE Gunnar Helm heads into Year No. 2 in 2026 looking to work hard and keep improving. New head coach Robert Saleh likes what he has seen from Helm so far. 'Gunnar looks good, man,' Saleh said. 'He looks like a legit dude - from what he was a year ago to what he is now, especially physically. Again, once pads come on, we'll be able to decide all that, but like all these guys, hopefully they take a big jump and find a way to grab the bull by the horns and take advantage of their opps.'
Footballguys view: Helm quietly had a respectable rookie season with 44 catches and 91.7 fantasy points while playing second fiddle behind Chig Okonkwo. Those 44 catches rank 11th among rookie tight ends over the past decade So if that isn't enough to pique your interest, Helm will be looking to cash in on the 79 targets vacated when Okonkwo signed with the Commanders. All of this explains why Helm, going as TE27 in the 17th round, is a free-square play with an intriguing range of possible outcomes.
Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson is the unquestioned starter at tight end heading into the 2026 season, with TEs Luke Schoonmaker, DJ Rogers, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Princeton Fant battling for the primary backup job.
Footballguys view: Ferguson is an overlooked fantasy asset. He set career highs in catches and touchdowns last season on the same number of targets as he had in 2023. In fact, Ferguson has handled a 17 percent target share each of the past three seasons, and he's coming off a 2025 campaign in which he ranked third among tight ends in receptions, touchdowns, and end-zone targets (10). He finished the season as TE4 overall, and his nine top-12 fantasy weeks tied for second-most at the position. He's being drafted as TE11 this year, which seems like a nice discount.
Luke Schoonmaker player page
Indianapolis Colts RB DJ Giddens 'didn't develop as quickly' as the team expected during his rookie season, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN.com.
Footballguys view: To be fair, there's not much room for development with Jonathan Taylor at the top of the depth chart. Over the past two seasons, no running back behind Taylor has managed more than 159 rushing yards in a single season (Trey Sermon in 2024). Last season, Taylor accounted for 73.1% of the Colts' rushing attempts -- the highest share of any player in the NFL. The Colts might be looking to lighten Taylor's workload this year, but don't expect a timeshare here. Giddens' fantasy value is limited.
Indianapolis Colts RB Seth McGowan has growing 'optimism' from the coaching staff about his ability to contribute as a rookie.
Footballguys view: According to Footballguy Sigmund Bloom, McGowan is a hard-charging back who isn't starting quality, but could supplant DJ Giddens as Jonathan Taylor's backup in Indy. Taylor investors will want to watch the battle between McGowan and Giddens closely next month before drafting one of them as insurance.
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Kaleb Johnson is 'not assured' a spot on the roster and will have to prove he can contribute on special teams, according to Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Footballguys view: The 6-1, 224-pound Johnson still has the natural ability that made him one of college football's best running backs. He flashed it early during last year's Steelers training camp -- even if the results did not translate to preseason games. Questions lingered about his vision and pass-protection abilities, and Johnson spent most of the season in former coach Mike Tomlin's "doghouse." A new coaching staff could mean a clean slate for Johnson -- if he gets a chance to prove himself on special teams and also earn the trust of coaches with his mental game and work ethic.
Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) is fully healthy heading into training camp and the preseason. He was able to practice at full speed during organized team activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp.
Footballguys view: Bowers dealt with a nagging knee injury for most of last season after tweaking it at the end of Week 1. He played through it early in the year with disappointing results. After a four-game rest, he returned in the second half of the season looking like his old self. But when the Raiders' season was over late, the team opted to shut him down again. Still just 23, Bowers is on the upswing. He's expected to be the team's top receiver this year, garnering consideration at the end of Round 1 in fantasy drafts.
Denver Broncos DL Zach Allen said Sunday, July 12, he expects the team to break the all-time team sack record after falling short in 2025. The team had 68 sacks in 2025, four behind the Chicago Bears (1984) NFL record of 72. The Bears also accomplished the feat in 16 games. 'We've got a lot of good guys and that's going to create a lot of opportunities for people. We came close to the sack record last year and we fully expect to break it this year,' Allen said.

New York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is expected to have a sizable role in the backfield. While RB Cam Skattebo is expected to see slightly more than half of the carries, Tracy is valuable not only in the run game, but for his hands. In terms of all-purpose yardage, he has two 1,000-yard seasons in his first two NFL seasons. He is also expected to be in the mix for work on kickoff returns.
Footballguys view: Tracy was a receiver in college, and that skill set has translated well to his early NFL career. Skattebo is also a great receiver, giving this backfield some promising young depth. Skattebo is still recovering from a season-ending ankle injury, putting Tracy in line for what could be extra early-season work. He's falling into the double-digit fantasy rounds, providing a bit of stand-alone value and contingent upside in the event of an injury to Skattebo.
Miami Dolphins RB Anthony Hankerson, who played his school football in the competitive South Florida area, is a candidate for the practice squad. He is battling RBs Donovan Edwards and Carlos Washington Jr. on the depth chart behind veteran RBs De'Von Achane, Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins RB Carlos Washington Jr. has some special teams experience in the NFL, but he is expected to be a practice squad candidate behind RBs De'Von Achane, Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright. RB Donovan Edwards is another player expected to be a practice squad guy.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins RB Donovan Edwards was signed in January after spending most of the year in 2025 on the Washington Commanders practice squad. As long as RBs De'Von Achane, Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright remain healthy, Edwards is expected to be a practice squad candidate in South Florida, too.
Link to storyBuffalo Bills CB Maxwell Hairston (knee) missed six games due to a knee injury coming out of training camp in his rookie season in 2025. He played 11 regular-season games, rotating with CB Tre'Davious White, posting two interceptions and 18 tackles with five passes defensed. 'I can't wait to see him on the field when the fall hits and camp hits and getting into the season,' cornerbacks coach Jay Valai said. 'You talk about somebody with tremendous upside and a high level of want-to. He's very intentional with everything he does. A lot of people have intent, but he's intentional at the doing aspect of it.'
Link to storyNew Orleans Saints C Erik McCoy has missed 20 games across the past two seasons due to various injuries. 'S--- happens,' McCoy said. He has missed 10 games in each of the past two seasons, dealing with groin and elbow injuries in 2024, and a torn biceps in 2025. He played all 17 games in 2023, and he was a Pro Bowl pick. He is penciled in to start at center again in 2026, and he hopes to stay healthy to be part of one of the better offensive lines the team has had in years, according to beat writer Luke Johnson.
Link to storyDenver Broncos DT Eyioma Uwazurike has a chance to start, with DT John Franklin-Myers moving on to the Tennessee Titans in free agency. 'He's doing well, practicing well. He has his weight right where it needs to be,' head coach Sean Payton said. 'He's one of those guys [who] I think he is competing for more time.' Uwazurike is battling DTs Sai'vion Jones and Tyler Onyedim for more playing time heading into training camp and the preseason, and somebody will emerge as the starter.
Link to storyHouston Texans RB Woody Marks has been working on learning the route tree, as it is anticipated that he will have a larger role in the passing game behind RB David Montgomery. 'He's going to get lots of opportunities. Last year we brought him along slower, which was good to help him kind of learn the game. And once he learned the game, he played a lot faster,' running backs coach and assistant head coach Danny Barrett said. 'And you can see him now playing even faster. So, his role is going to pick up some third downs, special teams. He's a kickoff return guy. But, more importantly, probably in the passing game as well.'
Footballguys view: Marks was a solid receiver in college, leading all NCAA running backs in 2021 with a ludicrous 83 receptions. He saw his workload expand late last year as a rookie, as Nick Chubb's efficiency became a concern. The Texans brought in Montgomery to be the RB1 this year, but Marks could find a role on passing downs. It's worth noting that Montgomery is no slouch of a receiver, pacing for over 50 targets per season with the Bears. However, Marks could find a consistent receiving role this season, although meaingful upside would likely require Montgomery to miss some time.
Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears will have an important role in the offense this season, according to head coach Robert Saleh, who added that he is a solid performer in passing-down situations.
Footballguys view: Spears' talent has been undeniable since his days at Tulane. He's explosive and bouncy, showing utility as both a rusher and receiver. The issues have been his health and availability. Spears tore his ACL twice in college, and it became public knowledge through the pre-draft process that he had no ACL in his right knee. After a promising rookie season, Spears' workload was ramped up, and injuries followed. A new coaching staff could expand his role. Spears' skill set with increased volume could quickly put him on the fantasy radar. He's worth targeting in drafts if there's a steady drumbeat throughout camp, but Spears carries an obvious injury-related red flag.

The deal includes a $1.5 million guaranteed signing bonus and a 2027 base salary of $2.9 million. If McDuffie is on the roster on the third day of the 2027 league year, he will also earn a $750,000 roster bonus. McDuffie is eligible to receive up to $600,000 in 2027 per-game roster bonuses and a $100,000 workout bonus as well.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor announced his retirement Saturday, July 11.
Footballguys view: As far as Day 3 picks go, Taylor had a long career, getting drafted in 2017 and playing through 2024. After spotty use as a receiver to start his career, Taylor carved out a role as a special-teams player. He's been mostly uninvolved on offense since his rookie season, meaning his retirement has no impact on fantasy football.
Trent Taylor player page
Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane's 5.62 yard per carry for his career is the best mark of any running back in NFL history with a minimum of 500 carries.
Footballguys view: Achane has been historically efficient since his rookie season. As his workload has grown, his efficiency has cooled off slightly, but he is still among the elite. His game-breaking quickness consistently turns minute gains into chunk plays. 2026 is set to be the biggest challenge of his career, where he will be the lone weapon with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Tua Tagovailoa all gone. The uncertainty about his outlook has him falling into Round 2, where his range of outcomes is vast.
Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry's 17 runs of 20-plus yards last season led the NFL and were four more than any other player.
Footballguys view: Henry's game has always involved wearing down defenses and breaking off big runs late. Ten of those 17 runs of 20-plus yards from last season came in the second half of games. Henry is getting up there in age, heading into his age-32 season. Still, he's shown no signs of wearing down. His advanced age is baked into his fantasy cost, where he's typically going between Rounds 2 and 3.

Cincinnati Bengals C Connor Lew (knee) expected to be ready to participate when training camp begins.
Link to storyNew England Patriots TE Hunter Henry has posted at least 40 receptions in each of his last five seasons and has played in 81 of the 85 games since joining the Patriots.
Footballguys view: Henry has been incredibly steady since joining the Patriots. While he probably doesn't possess the upside to be an elite TE1, his reliability and usage make him a decent target late in drafts. At worst, you're getting a player who can score a touchdown on any given week. At best, Henry can fill your tight end slot while you wait for this year's waiver wire surprise.

Washington Commanders WRs Luke McCaffrey, Jaylin Lane and Treylon Burks are expected to be candidates for the No. 2 wide receiver job during training camp, but the team may use a committee at the position this upcoming season, in the opinion of Commanders.com's Zach Selby.
Footballguys view: Terry McLaurin is the obvious top receiver here, but the lack of a clear WR2 could make Chig Okonkwo an interesting sleeper to target at tight end. Okonkwo has elite speed and has proven capable as a receiver. He's expected to get some of the manufactured touches vacated by Deebo Samuel. And as far as the WR2 battle goes, rookie Antonio Williams is another name to watch throughout camp.
Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones (Achilles) said he is 'cleared to do everything' as he rehabs from a torn Achilles. 'I think it's just about, at this point, sharpening that,' Jones said.
Footballguys view: Jones participated in 7-on-7 drills during OTAs, and all signs pointed to a return at the start of camp. Jones' rushing upside is valuable in fantasy, especially near the end zone. If he's limited at all early in the season, that would be a slight ding to his value and a boost to Jonathan Taylor's. But with Jones expected back, draft the Colts' pass catchers with confidence.

Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta led all tight ends last season with 6.9 yards after the catch per reception.
Footballguys view: LaPorta was limited by a back injury last year, which ended his season early. However, he was still extremely efficient with his opportunities. Last year, Drew Petzing aided Trey McBride to an elite season in Arizona. Petzing will now take over as the Lions' offensive coordinator, potentially signaling an increased role for the young tight end.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers is the league's top tight end when it comes to receiving skills, according to an NFL coordinator. 'As far as route running, separation, zone instincts, yards-after-catch ability combination, he's better than the field in those areas,' the coordinator said.
Footballguys view: Bowers proved elite in his rookie season, but an injury in Year 2 led to a decline in production. On a Raiders' offense without any standout WR1, Bowers is set to lead the team in targets. He's being drafted in the middle of Round 2, but our projections give him a significant edge over all other tight ends, making him worth reaching for a bit earlier.
