The Commanders officially added kicker Jake Moody to their 53-man roster on Tuesday, and they announced another roster move as well. They have waived wide receiver Jacoby Jones. Jones was signed to the roster last week.
Footballguys view: Moody replaces Matt Gay, who was released on Monday after missing a pair of field goals in the Dolphins' loss. He was signed off the Bears' practice squad and appeared in two games for Chicago earlier this season.

Detroit Lions LB Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) was activated off the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Link to storyBuffalo Bills WR Joshua Palmer (knee, ankle) was limited in practice on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Footballguys view: Palmer has been limited in both of the Bills' first two practices ahead of Thursday's game against the Texans. Without reporting indicating a setback after playing 28 snaps in Sunday's 44-32 win over the Buccaneers, we suspect his limited work is just maintenance on a short week. The official injury report for Thursday night's game will be released on Wednesday.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters at a Tuesday afternoon press conference that QB C.J. Stroud has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Bills. That was an expected development given the short window for him to clear the concussion protocol before his team faces the Bills.
Footballguys view: Davis Mills will start for the third straight week. The Texans beat the Jaguars and Titans in his first two starts. If all goes well with Stroud, he should make the start in Week 13 against the Colts. Ryans also said that safety Jalen Pitre has been ruled out. Pitre is also in the concussion protocol and will miss his third straight contest.

Carolina Panthers WR Xavier Legette (hip) expects to play in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Footballguys view: As CBSSports.com reminded readers, before injuring his hip late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's overtime win over the Falcons, Legette delivered one of his best performances of the season, with four catches for 83 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. Though Legette acknowledged Tuesday that he's still banged up two days after the game, the longer turnaround with a Monday night game against the 49ers will work in his favor. The Panthers resume practicing Thursday.
Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) will not practice on Tuesday, Nov. 18, according to head coach Sean McDermott
Footballguys view: With a Thursday night game against the Texans, Kincaid needs to get in some work on Wednesday to have a shot at playing. Will he? The Bills' offense got by just fine without its star tight end in Week 11, as Buffalo dropped 44 points and 414 yards of total offense on the Bucs. However, we know full well that the Bills need Kincaid to be healthy, as he's arguably their best pass-catcher, along with wide receiver Khalil Shakir. At this point, it seems unlikely Kincaid will be forced into the fray.

Mike Tomlin says Jaylen Warren's ankle injury will limit him in early portions of practice this week, but he's "optimistic" about his availability for Sunday.
Footballguys view: Warren said the same after the game, characterizing it as a "tweak" and suggesting he could have returned if the outcome was in question. We'll be watching Warren closely in coming days, but if Warren can't go on Sunday, Kenneth Gainwell would get the start, and rookie Kaleb Johnson would be his backup.
Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) is expected to practice in limited fashion Tuesday, Nov. 18, but it's unlikely he plays in Week 12.
Footballguys view: According to multiple reporters, Stroud was indeed on the field Tuesday. While that's a step forward in the concussion protocol, with the Texans hosting the Bills on Thursday night, Stroud is still unlikely to play in Week 12. That puts Davis Mills in line to start another game, though Stroud may be able to return for Houston's Week 13 divisional matchup against Indianapolis. Stroud has not played since suffering his concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Broncos. Mills has beaten the Jaguars and Titans to help get the Texans to 5-5 on the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) won't require surgery on his left wrist, and he's pushing to play in Week 12.
Footballguys view: Rodgers will not practice Wednesday. Head coach Mike Tomin told reporters that Friday will be a key day in determining Rodgers' status for Sunday's game against the Bears in Chicago. "Really, it's just about bracing and securing it for his comfort and safety. And then, it's about how functional he is," Tomlin said. "We'll see where the week leads us and we'll take it day by day," Tomlin said. Mason Rudolph took over at quarterback with Rodgers sidelined and would start against the Bears if the Steelers determine Rodgers is unable to play.

New York Giants DE Abdul Carter was benched for the opening series in Week 11 and denied a report that he slept through a walk-through practice last week and said he was getting treatment at the time of the walk-through.
Link to storyArizona Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain and is likely out for Week 12.
Footballguys view: If Trey Benson (knee) isn't activated from injured reserve this week, Bam Knight and Michael Carter would be in line to share backfield duties against the Jaguars. We'll be watching for news on Benson's status very closely in coming days.

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase is planning to appeal his one-game suspension.
Footballguys view: Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports that former Packers receiver Jordy Nelson, a jointly appointed NFL-NFLPA appeals officer, will hear Chase's case. As it stands, Chase will miss Sunday's game against the Patriots. Chase would become the first player ever suspended for spitting. Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter was ejected before the first play from scrimmage in the season opener for spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The NFL fined him a game check, and he did not appeal. Chase declined to talk to reporters on Monday. We'll likely get a ruling in short order, perhaps at some point today.

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (eye) still does not have a definite timetable for his return, according to head coach Shane Steichen.
Footballguys view: Richardson is sidelined with an orbital fracture. Steichen did say that if/when Richardson returns, he will resume his role as the Colts' backup quarterback behind Daniel Jones. Rookie Riley Leonard has held that job with Richardson out.

Green Bay Packers PK Brandon McManus (quadriceps) is not a candidate for the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Footballguys view: McManus, who was added to the injury report as doubtful on Saturday, was ruled out of the Giants game on Sunday. The Packers went with backup Lucas Havrisik, who missed two extra-point tries on a windy day. Although McManus has not been 100%, LaFleur said, this isn't an injured-reserve situation. "I think it's one of those things you've got to take in stride and handle it on a day-to-day basis," LaFleur said. Of course, there are plenty of kickers available. Fantasy investors can easily avoid uncertainty by looking elsewhere.

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott completed 25 of his 33 passing attempts for 268 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions versus the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11.
Footballguys view: Prescott was precise -- minus a miss of a wide-open CeeDee Lamb for an easy touchdown. His four TD passes tied a season high, matching his total from Oct. 5 against the New York Jets. He threw primarily to George Pickens and Lamb. Pickens (nine catches, 144 yards, one touchdown) and Lamb (five receptions for 66 yards and a TD) produced big numbers despite head coach Brian Schottenheimer benching them for the Cowboys' first drive. The big showing led to 26.3 fantasy points and a QB3 finish on the week. The Cowboys play the Eagles in Week 12.

Link to storyDallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson posted four catches, 16 yards, and a touchdown during the club's Week 11 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys WR George Pickens had nine receptions, 144 yards, and a touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11. Pickens was targeted 11 times.
Footballguys view: Cowboys owner and General Manager Jerry Jones was in awe of Pickens on Monday night. "Pickens was -- I've never seen a performance like that," Jones said. Pickens is in the final year of his contract and becomes an unrestricted free agent in March. Jones isn't gaining any leverage in coming negotiations on a new deal. Worth noting: At the start of the game, both Pickens and the Cowboys' other top receiver, CeeDee Lamb, were on the sideline. Coach Brian Schottenheimer hinted that it was a benching for missing a meeting or practice, but did not give any details.
