Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will not have his 21-day practice window opened this week, according to a source.

Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders is expected to have a good chance to start in Week 12 with QB Dillon Gabriel (concussion) going through the concussion protocol, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) may have his 21-day practice window opened this week, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Link to storyThe NFL has suspended Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase one game for spitting at Steelers DB Jalen Ramsey. Chase denied spitting at Ramsey, but the league determined the video evidence was sufficient to warrant a suspension.
Footballguys view: While he can -- and likely will -- appeal, fantasy investors should plan on him missing Cincinnati's Week 12 game against the Patriots. The one-game suspension will cost Chase his weekly paycheck of $448,333, along with a $58,823 per-game active bonus he will now forfeit. The Bengals, meanwhile, will have to lean more heavily on Tee Higgins, but Andrei Iosivas, tight end Noah Fant, and running back Chase Brown also stand to get more work with Chase out.

Free-agent QB Adrian Martinez (49ers) is expected to be signed to the San Francisco 49ers practice squad, according to a source.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) has a chance to be available for Week 12, but it will depend on the swelling in his knee, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Footballguys view: This adds to reporting earlier today, suggesting he was still in play for this week's game against the Vikings. He'll be re-evaluated at the end of the week. We'll be following up throughout the week. Proactive Jacobs' investors should be trying to secure Emanual Wilson as a fallback.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (knee) is considered week-to-week because of his knee injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
Footballguys view: Previous reporting indicated that further testing on London's knee revealed a PCL sprain that will keep him out at least one week, "and potentially more." Morris' comments confirm that. The Falcons will also be without their quarterback for at least four more weeks after they placed Michael Penix Jr. on injured reserve with a knee injury of his own. KhaDarel Hodge has been London's primary backup in recent weeks when London has missed time. Expect Hodge to move into the lineup opposite Darnell Mooney while London is out.
New York Jets LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring) had his 21-day practice window opened Monday, Nov. 17.
Link to storyNew England Patriots practice squad TE CJ Dippre was signed to the 53-man roster Monday, Nov. 17. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyThe 49ers are going to need to bring in a new kicker for their Week 12 Monday night game against the Panthers. Eddy Pineiro suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's game, and head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Monday that he is considered week-to-week at this point.
Footballguys view: Pineiro joined the 49ers heading into Week 2 after they released Jake Moody. He is 22-of-22 on field goals and 18-of-22 on extra points in 10 appearances this season. The 49ers do not have a kicker on their practice squad, and Shanahan said that the team will work out kickers this week.

Matt Gay is done kicking for the Commanders. Washington announced today that Gay has been released.
Footballguys view: Gay has not played well this season, making just 13 of 19 field goals, and he missed two field goals in Sunday's overtime loss to the Dolphins. His 68.4 percent success rate ranks 32nd of the 34 kickers who have enough attempts to qualify this season. A 2019 fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers, Gay has also played for the Colts and Rams.

Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) will not participate in the team's walkthrough Monday, Nov. 17, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
Footballguys view: Kincaid still has two more days to return to practice, but with the Bills on a short week, it's increasingly unlikely he plays against the Houston Texans. Kincaid was initially labeled as week-to-week by McDermott, so it won't be surprising at all if he misses another game. We'll be following up through resolution.

San Francisco 49ers WR Jacob Cowing (hamstring) is expected to have his 21-day practice window opened after the Week 14 bye, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Footballguys view: Cowing sustained two hamstring injuries during training camp, the second of which landed him on injured reserve. It is unclear where Cowing would fit into the 49ers' current receiver situation, and veteran Skyy Moore has taken over as the team's top return man. We'll keep an eye on Cowing as Week 14 draws nearer.
The wait for Brandon Aiyuk's return continues. The 49ers won't open the receiver's practice window this week. Aiyuk continues to work his way back from the ACL and MCL injuries he sustained last season and remains week-to-week. Another wideout, Jacob Cowing (hamstring), may be nearing a return. Coach Kyle Shanahan noted that the 49ers could open his practice window after the bye week.
Footballguys view: Aiyuk will not play in next Monday night's Week 12 game against the Panthers, and, as CBSSports.com suggests, he doesn't appear to be particularly close to a return to game action. The 49ers have a Week 14 bye, so perhaps Aiyuk will practice at some point before that and potentially play prior to the end of the regular season. For now, the Niners will continue to roll with Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings, and Kendrick Bourne as their three main wideouts.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is waiting to learn if wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will be suspended for spitting on Steelers safety Jalen Ramsey on Sunday. Still, he made it clear on Monday that the incident does not change his overall opinion of the wideout. Taylor said that "one mistake doesn't disregard" everything that Chase has done before, even if Sunday's actions went further than they should have.
Footballguys view: "I've always thought it was unbelievable how he's handled himself in some really high-pressure, emotional decisions," Taylor said in a press conference. "Obviously, what happened is crossing the line. We can't have that. And I know he'll own up to that." Taylor said that he will keep his conversations with Chase and others in the organization private while stressing that "people are allowed to make a mistake" without it overshadowing everything else that's gone on during their careers. Meanwhile, we'll continue to watch for a potential suspension.

Cincinnati Bengals CB Cam Taylor-Britt (foot) will likely need to undergo surgery to repair his Lisfranc injury, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
Link to storyCincinnati Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson (hip, pelvis) is still considered week-to-week because of his hip injury and is considered doubtful for the Week 12 game, according to head coach Zac Taylor.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow did 7-on-7 in practice last week, felt good, and could reintegrate into some 11-on-11 work this week, coach Zac Taylor said on Monday. Will the Bengals' record impact Burrow's approach to returning? "He's of the mindset that he wants to play football for us."
Footballguys view: Burrow has told people he's targeting the team's Thanksgiving Day Week 13 game against the Ravens for his return. Multiple reports have suggested a Week 14 return is more realistic. Joe Flacco will continue as the starter until Burrow returns. We'll continue to watch for more.

San Francisco 49ers LB Tatum Bethune (ankle) has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain and will miss at least one week because of the injury, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart (concussion) is still going through the concussion protocol, according to interim head coach Mike Kafka.
Footballguys view: Kafka was asked whether Dart would be available to start practicing with the Giants on Wednesday. "Jaxson's still in the protocol, so I'm just going to see that through, talk with the medical (staff), and when they give us the thumbs up, then we'll take the next action," Kafka said. Jameis Winston started in Dart's absence Sunday, passing for 201 yards with an interception as well as a lost fumble on the final play of a 27-20 home loss to the Packers. We'll be following Dart's progress closely in coming days. The Giants play in Detroit in Week 12.
New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) will participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 17, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: As CBSSports.com noted, Boutte practiced in a limited capacity before being ruled out against the Jets in Week 11. He previously sat out Week 10 against Tampa Bay. In three appearances before he was hurt, Boutte had an outstanding 10-223-4 receiving line on 12 targets. If he returns, Boutte (along with his teammates) gets a favorable matchup against the Bengals in Week 12.

New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) will participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 17, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: It's fair to wonder what kind of role the veteran will play upon return. Stevenson's absence has opened the door for rookie TreVeyon Henderson in the backfield, and the second-round pick has responded big time. Henderson has carried the load over the last three games, recording 264 rushing yards and four touchdowns during the stretch. He had a historic Week 11 effort vs. the Jets, scoring all three of the team's touchdowns. We'll be watching Stevenson's progress in coming days -- and we'll be looking for more on potential workloads as well. The Patriots play the Bengals in Week 12.

Miami Dolphins CB Julius Brents (foot) is scheduled to undergo season-ending foot surgery but is expected to be ready for the 2026 season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
Link to storyLos Angeles Rams WR Xavier Smith (concussion) is going through the concussion protocol after suffering a concussion during the Week 11 game, according to head coach Sean McVay.
Footballguys view: McVay confirms what we already knew. Smith suffered the concussion in the first half of Sunday's contest. Smith must pass through the five steps required to be cleared to play in Week 12. If he misses time, Konata Mumpfield could see an increase in workload on offense and on special teams.
Cleveland Browns QB Dillon Gabriel (concussion) is going through the concussion protocol, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Footballguys view: Stefanski told reporters on Sunday that Gabriel will start if he can clear the protocol before this week's game against the Raiders. Quarterbacks returning the week after suffering concussions happens, but it's not unusual for them to miss multiple games. We'll be watching Gabriel's progress. Shedeur Sanders will start if Gabriel isn't cleared.
Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young (ankle) will have an update on his injured ankle later in the week, according to head coach Dave Canales.
Footballguys view: Canales said he would tell us more on Thursday, but as The Athletic's Joe Person suggested, this is standard operating procedure with Canales during Monday pressers. Young was dealing with the injury for most of Sunday's win over the Falcons, but he did not miss an offensive snap and completed 31-of-45 passes for a career-high 448 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. The Panthers play the 49ers in Week 12.

Davis Mills has quarterbacked the Texans to two straight wins, and it looks like there's a good chance he'll get an opportunity to make it three in a row. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters on Monday that C.J. Stroud remains in the concussion protocol.
Footballguys view: As ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning, Stroud's chances of being cleared in time to play this week are hampered by the fact that Houston will be hosting the Bills on Thursday night this week. We'll follow, but fantasy investors should plan on seeing Mills, who was 26-of-41 for 274 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-16 win over the Titans.

Following up on the previous item . . . Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr is headed to Injured Reserve after aggravating a bone bruise and knee sprain from earlier in the season, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Additionally, there has been damage to the ACL, which could mean a full reconstruction.
Footballguys view: Veteran Kirk Cousins replaced Penix on Sunday in the eventual 30-27 overtime loss at home and will take over as the Falcons' starting quarterback with Penix sidelined. Cousins was 6-of-14 for 48 yards after replacing Penix. The Falcons play the Saints on Sunday. Remember, Cousins will be without Drake London, who suffered a PCL sprain on Sunday.
Michael Penix Jr. player page
Packers star RB Josh Jacobs' knee is structurally sound, tests showed today, and no surgery is needed, sources tell NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: The team will re-evaluate Jacobs towards the end of the week. But at this point, Jacobs hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings. We'll be following up throughout the week.

New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor was named the starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens over QB Justin Fields.
Footballguys view: The move comes on the heels of a 27-14 loss to the Patriots last Thursday that dropped the Jets to 2-8 on the season. Fields threw for just 116 yards on 15-of-26 passing. It marked the fourth time in the last five games that he finished with less than 200 passing yards and a completion rate below 60%. For weeks, head coach Aaron Glenn has resisted all inquiries into the possibility of a quarterback change, saying that not divulging his plans conveys a competitive advantage. Turns out there was no competitive advantage.
