Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) aggravated his groin injury in the first half of the Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he will not return. He had two receptions for 30 yards and a TD on two targets before departing.
Footballguys view: Fannin at least gave fantasy teams a 28-yard touchdown on the play that ended his afternoon. He has been one of the biggest breakout players of the 2025 rookie class and Fannin might actually have a quarterback in Shedeur Sanders. Fannin should be one of the top 6-8 tight ends in fantasy drafts next season. He could end up being a rare tight end who is the #1 target in his team's passing game.
Carolina Panthers CB Robert Rochell (concussion) left the Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks due to a concussion.

Carolina Panthers TE Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle) left the Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks after an ankle injury suffered on the first offensive play of the game.
Footballguys view: Per head coach Dave Canales, Sanders sustained a broken ankle. The second-year starter is set to undergo surgery tomorrow and will miss the remainder of the campaign. Sanders finishes his second season with 29 receptions for 190 yards and a touchdown.

Tennessee Titans WR Van Jefferson (forearm) suffered a forearm injury during the Week 17 game and has been ruled out.
Footballguys view: Interim coach Mike McCoy said after Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Saints that Jefferson is done for the season, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reported. Jefferson won't play in the Titans' season finale against the Jaguars next weekend. As CBSSports.com suggested, Mason Kinsey and James Proche move up in the rotation behind Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike.

Link to storyTampa Bay Buccaneers OG Mike Jordan (head) left the Week 17 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.
Link to storySteelers tight end Darnell Washington sustained a broken arm in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns, coach Mike Tomlin said. He added he doesn't know Washington's timeline to return.
Footballguys view: Washington exited late in the first quarter as the Steelers' leading receiver at that point with 15 yards on two catches on two targets. His longest catch went for 11 yards on third-and-16. Washington's absence was especially significant for an offense that also played without its top two wide receivers in DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin III (hamstring). Tight end Pat Freiermuth finished as the Steelers' leading receiver with 63 yards on three receptions in five targets.

Cleveland Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) scored a touchdown in the first quarter of the Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he aggravated the injury on the play, and he left the game. He is questionable to return.
Link to storyMiami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (rib) suffered a rib injury during the Week 17 game and is considered questionable to return.
Footballguys view: Waddle hadn't missed a game yet this season. This is a bad break for fantasy teams that relied on Waddle in Week 17 against a Bucs defense that has been fading. Quinn Ewers was productive against Tampa and Waddle would have likely been a good play today if he hadn't left the game in the first half. He returned late in the third quarter but finished the game with no catches and a seven-yard carry.

Link to storySeattle Seahawks WR Rashid Shaheed (head) left the Week 17 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion.
Footballguys view: Shaheed did not return to the game. He has made some impact plays for the Seahawks since he was acquired in a mid-season trade, but questions linger about Sam Darnold and the passing game's ability to carry this team in the postseason.
New Orleans Saints TE Jack Stoll (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 17 game and has been ruled out.

Link to storySeveral NFL teams are likely to pursue a trade for Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow during the offseason, according to multiple sources. Burrow voiced frustration with losing earlier this month but plans to remain in Cincinnati and the Bengals have not shown any desire to trade him.
Footballguys view: Normally we would say that there is zero chance a quarterback of Burrow's caliber would be traded, but this is the Bengals. The reality is that having Burrow creates urgency for the frugal organization to spend to increase their chances of winning the Super Bowl while they have one of the best quarterbacks in the game. That this is even being reported is a sign that the chance of a Burrow isn't zero, even if it is very small.

The Indianapolis Colts are likely to start QB Riley Leonard in Week 18's game versus the Houston Texans, after the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention Saturday, Dec. 27, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: Jonathan Taylor is battling with James Cook to win the NFL rushing title, so he may get a lot of run next week, but the Colts chances of beating the Texans with the AFC South champion still undecided will go down with Leonard in at quarterback.
