Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers CB Nate Hobbs (knee) has a small tear in his medial collateral ligament, a Grade I sprain, which will not require surgery. It is not the same knee he previously had a torn meniscus. He had played 19 snaps in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.

Los Angeles Chargers CB Ja'Sir Taylor to the New York Jets for a 2028 conditional seventh-round draft pick.
Link to storyThe Cardinals are sticking with QB Jacoby Brissett as their starter for Sunday's game in Seattle.
Footballguys view: As NFL.com suggested, it's remarkable how much better Arizona's offense operates with Brissett, who has excellent rapport with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, than it has with Kyler Murray. Head coach Jonathan Gannon also sees it. He told reporters Tuesday that Murray is still getting healthy, but "I do like how we're operating as an offense," and so Gannon's not waiting to say Brissett will remain the QB. So, at least for one more game, Brissett, who can clearly execute coordinator Drew Petzing's offense efficiently and essentially keep the Cardinals on schedule, will do that for at least one more week.

New Orleans Saints G Trevor Penning was traded to the Los Angeles Chargers for a sixth-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Footballguys view: Penning has started the last six games at left guard for the Saints and he was their right tackle in 2024. It's not clear where he fits into the Chargers' plans, but depth is something they need in the wake of Joe Alt's season-ending ankle injury. Alt moved from right tackle to left tackle in the wake of Rashawn Slater's season-ending injury this summer and the Chargers have been shuffling players around all year thanks to other injuries on the line. As Profootballtalk.com suggests, Penning, who was a 2022 first-round pick, gives them another option to use as they try to do a better job of protecting Justin Herbert over the second half of the season.
Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown will not be moved before the NFL Trade Deadline on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Footballguys view: The Eagles won a Super Bowl last year and are in line to get to the playoffs again, but Brown has appeared to be frustrated with his role and production. Despite being regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and one of the highest paid, he is tied for 59th in the league with 29 receptions. Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has more receptions (30). Despite speculation that Philadelphia could trade Brown before he starts to become a bit of a headache, that won't be the case. Brown remains an Eagle.

New York Jets DL Quinnen Williams has been traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick.
Footballguys view: Per NFL Media, it's the Cowboys' first-round pick and not the first-round pick they acquired from the Packers for Micah Parsons. The Jets will also be getting 2023 first-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith. Williams was the third overall pick in the 2019 draft. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2022, and he's a three-time Pro Bowler. He now joins one of the worst defenses in the NFL, a 3-5-1 team that is facing a steep uphill climb to the playoffs. The Cowboys acquired Bengals LB Logan Wilson earlier in the day.

Cleveland Browns DE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has been traded to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick.
Footballguys view: The move comes after the Bears lost starting DE Dayo Odeyingbo to a torn Achilles. Tryon-Shoyinka figures to serve as a depth piece behind Montez Sweat and Austin Booker, who recorded a strip sack in his season debut against the Bengals. Tryon-Shoyinka, a first-round pick in 2021, spent his first four seasons with the Buccaneers. He totaled 138 tackles, including 21 for a loss, 15 sacks, 35 QB hits, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. This offseason, Tryon-Shoyinka signed a one-year, $4.75 million contract with the Browns. Now, Chicago gets a one-year rental in a late-round pick swap.
Indianapolis Colts WR Adonai Mitchell was included in the deal that had the team sending two first round picks to the New York Jets for Sauce Gardner.
Footballguys view: A second-round pick in 2024, Mitchell had 23 receptions for 312 yards as a rookie. It looked like he was having a breakout game in Week 4 against the Rams this season, but Mitchell carelessly dropped the ball just before reaching the end zone for a touchdown. Since then, Mitchell had played only single-digit snaps in four games, making a total of two receptions for a total of 15 yards. In all, Mitchell has nine catches for 152 yards this season. He joins a Jets receiving corps that doesn't have many high-end options beyond Garrett Wilson.
New Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed was acquired by the Seattle Seahawks Tuesday, Nov. 4, for an undisclosed package.
Footballguys view: As Profootballtalk.com notes, the 27-year-old Shaheed has been a contributor on offense and as a returner on special teams. This year, Shaheed has started all nine games for the Saints and is second on the team with 44 catches for 499 yards and two touchdowns. Now he'll join a Seattle offense that has injuries at wide receiver -- including Cooper Kupp (hamstring) -- and a desire to make it harder for opponents to focus on Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Getting Shaheed, who played under current Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak last year, at the deadline should help.
New York Jets CB Sauce Gardner was acquired by the Indianapolis Colts Thursday, Nov. 4, in exchange for two first-round picks.
Footballguys view: The Jets will receive 2026 and 2027 first-rounders, along with 2024 second-round WR Adonai Mitchell. Gardner signed a four-year, $120.4 million extension this offseason. The fourth pick in the 2022 draft, Gardner was NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2022. He's the only cornerback since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970 to be named first-team All-Pro in each of his first two seasons. Gardner suffered a concussion during a Week 7 loss to the Panthers. He missed the Week 8 win over the Bengals. If cleared, he'll make his debut against the Falcons in Germany in Week 10.
Las Vegas Raiders TE Michael Mayer is expected to see increased targets after the team dealt WR Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mayer was targeted seven times for three catches and 26 yards last week as the team utilized 12-personnel more than any game this season.
Footballguys view: As SI.com suggested, without high-end options at wide receiver, it's fair to consider Brock Bowers the team's de facto WR1. It's also not a stretch to say Mayer would be the best tight end on several rosters around the league. It makes sense to expect both to be first in line to pick up whatever slack is left by Meyers' departure. That's not to say Tre Tucker, Tyler Lockett, or even rookies Jack Bech and Dont'e Thornton Jr., the latter of whom was inactive against the Jaguars, won't have roles. But the TEs will lead the way.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter (knee) is expected to return from the Reserve/Injured list this season. He will contribute on offense when he returns.
Footballguys view: Because he's on injured reserve, Hunter is out for at least the next three games. But he is eligible to return after that point. Hunter played 67 percent of offensive snaps and 36 percent of defensive snaps in Jacksonville's first seven games this year. He has recorded 28 receptions for 298 yards with a touchdown on offense, but his role on offense was growing before the injury. Tuesday's trade for Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers will change the dynamic of this receiving corps, but we'll have time to sort that out before Hunter returns.
Las Vegas Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers was acquired by the Jacksonville Jaguars Tuesday, Nov. 4, in exchange for a fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick.
Footballguys view: Various reports indicate that teams like the Steelers and Bills were also in the mix for Meyers. As ProFootballTalk.com notes, Meyers arrives in Jacksonville less than a week after rookie receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter (knee) was placed on injured reserve. The Jaguars also have Brian Thomas, Jr., Dyami Brown, Parker Washington, and Tim Patrick on the receiver depth chart. Hunter could return in three weeks, but Thomas is dealing with an ankle injury, and Brown is in the concussion protocol. Meyers could have an immediate path to workload alongside Washington. Jacksonville plays Houston in Week 10.

After the Browns' Week 8 loss to the Patriots, running back Quinshon Judkins was considered day-to-day with a shoulder injury. But reporters on the scene noted Judkins was on the field for Cleveland's practice on Monday. After the session, head coach Kevin Stefanski was asked if he feels confident Judkins' shoulder won't be an issue for the Week 10 matchup with the Jets. "Yeah, I do," Stefanski said. "I feel good about it."
Footballguys view: As PFT suggested, that's good news for a Cleveland offense that has struggled throughout 2025. It's also good news for fantasy investors. Judkins leads the team with 486 yards rushing and five touchdowns, averaging 4.1 yards per carry. He's also caught 12 passes for 60 yards. Judkins and the rest of the offensive unit will have a new playcaller in offensive coordinator Tommy Rees this week. The Browns face the Jets on Sunday.
Free-agent PK Zane Gonzalez (Commanders) signed an undisclosed deal with the Atlanta Falcons Tuesday, Nov. 4. PK John Parker Romo was released.
Footballguys view: The change comes a couple of days after Romo missed an extra point that would have tied the Patriots 24-24 in the fourth quarter. The Patriots went on to win the game 24-23. Romo was 11-of-14 on field goals and 12-of-13 on extra points for Atlanta after replacing Younghoe Koo earlier this year. Gonzalez finished last season with the Commanders and was 5-of-7 on field goals and 19-of-19 on extra points in six regular-season games. He was 7-of-8 on field goals and 8-of-8 on extra points in three playoff appearances.

Dak Prescott, who was 24 of 39 for 250 yards with an interception, got hit by Cardinals edge rusher Calais Campbell late in the first half Monday night. It had him walking with a slight limp as he left for the locker room at halftime. Prescott, though, played the entire second half and appeared no worse for wear, even running three times for 25 yards.
Footballguys view: "I'm fine," Prescott said after the 27-17 loss to the Cardinals. "A little ankle roll at the end of the first half, but that's fine going into a bye week. It will be more than great. I finished the game, and I was fine with it, so it's not even anything to have concerns about. With the extra time, I'm fine. Body's great." As PFT suggested, the body might be great. The record is not. The Cowboys are 3-5-1 heading into their off week.

Cincinnati Bengals LB Logan Wilson was shipped to the Dallas Cowboys for a seventh-round pick Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Cowboys will inherhit the $2.684 million remaining on Wilson's deal.
Link to storyLogan Wilson player page
Cincinnati Bengals LB Logan Wilson was acquired by the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday, Nov. 4, in exchange for a seventh-round pick.
Footballguys view: Wilson, 29, has two years remaining on a four-year, $36 million extension he signed in July 2023. He registered at least 100 tackles each of the past four seasons, but has seen reduced playing time this season. The Cowboys are 31st in the NFL in total defense (397.4 yards per game) and scoring defense (30.8 points per game), ahead of only the Bengals in both categories. Kenneth Murray Jr. has started every game at linebacker for the Cowboys, who have had Jack Sanborn, rookie Shemar James, Marist Liufau, and Damone Clark split time at the other two linebacker spots.

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals CB Max Melton (concussion) suffered a concussion during the team's Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys CB DaRon Bland had a game-high 14 tackles (six solo) versus the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson had five receptions for 50 yards in a Week 9 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Ferguson, who was targeted seven times, also lost a fumble.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys WR KaVontae Turpin had two receptions for 10 yards against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9. He also ran once for three yards.
Link to storyAt the conclusion of the Arizona Cardinals' 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football on Nov. 3, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman addressed the "elephant in the room" for Arizona, the team's QB situation on the ABC/ESPN broadcast. "I don't know how you take him off the field, no matter how the foot is for Kyler Murray," said Buck, referencing Arizona keeping Jacoby Brissett as its starting quarterback. Replied Troy Aikman: "I don't know how they can, and I don't know that they will."
Footballguys view: Later, Aikman said, "I think you have to put aside salaries" and look at performance, referencing why Brissett should be Arizona's starting QB even if Murray is healthy. Head coach Jonathan Gannon, however, stood by Murray as the Cardinals' starter when healthy, telling reporters: "Nothing's changed on that." Pressed on whether Brissett has earned more playing time, he says he has "nothing to add to that." The Cardinals play the Seahawks in Week 10. We'll have more on Murray and the team's plans at QB in coming days.

Dallas Cowboys WR Ryan Flournoy had two catches, 12 yards, and a touchdown in Week 9 versus the Arizona Cardinals.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys WR George Pickens collected six catches for 79 yards during the team's Week 9 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He was targeted nine times.
Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) is unlikely to have his 21-day practice window opened until after the team's Week 12 bye, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Footballguys view: As SI.com noted, Hampton, who got an increased workload after the season-ending Achilles injury to Najee Harris early in the season, was gaining momentum before a seemingly benign ankle injury in the loss to the Commanders in Week 5. He walked off the field under his own power and was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, but hasn't been seen since. That was four weeks ago, and at best, he'll miss seven games. In his absence, Kimani Vidal has stepped up. But Justin Herbert has been the team's leading rusher in three of the five games Hampton has missed.
San Francisco 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) may have a chance to be available for the Week 10 game but will be evaluated later in the week, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Footballguys view: As USA Today's Kyle Madson noted, getting Pearsall back would be a huge lift for an offense that has been piecing together a receiving corps with an injured Jauan Jennings, Kendrick Bourne, and a mix of seldom-used veterans, along with rookie Jordan Watkins. Pearsall emerged as their unquestioned No. 1 receiver before his exit in Week 4. The second-year man racked up 20 receptions for 327 yards on 29 targets. With George Kittle back in the mix and Christian McCaffrey leading the team in receiving, Pearsall's return would give the Niners all three top playmakers. We'll be watching for more.
San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) will not have his 21-day practice window opened up this week, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Footballguys view: It's been clear all offseason that the 49ers are eager to take things slow with Aiyuk. He's a big piece of a potential future Super Bowl window, and the club doesn't want to jeopardize his future production in the name of rushing him back into action in 2025. Once the team opens the practice window, they'll have 21 days to decide whether to activate him. As USA Today's Kyle Madson suggested, they may be trying to manage his return around the Week 14 bye, where they'll get a bonus practice on Monday after the bye.

Green Bay Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (calf) has a chance to be available for the Week 10 game, according to head coach Matt LaFleur.
Footballguys view: Wicks has missed the last two weeks due to a calf injury that he sustained during a Week 7 win at Arizona. He hasn't practiced since he suffered the injury, so we'll be watching to see if he ramps that up this week.

Arizona Cardinals TE Trey McBride caught five of nine targeted passes for 55 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Footballguys view: With his touchdown catch Monday night, McBride has four receiving touchdowns in three career games in which Jacoby Brissett has started. McBride has had five receiving touchdowns in 39 career games with Kyler Murray as the starting quarterback. We'll be watching to see who gets the start at QB for Arizona when they take on the Seahawks in Week 10.
