Falcons | Brandon Dorluss gets to QB twice Sun Nov 2, 05:55 PM
Atlanta Falcons DE Brandon Dorlus posted four totals stops, including three of the solo variety, with two sacks, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.
Link to storyIndianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. caught nine passes for 115 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. He was targeted 12 times during the game.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons LB Jalon Walker registered five total stops with four of the solo variety, two sacks, two tackles for loss, a pass defensed and two quarterback hits in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.
Link to storyIndianapolis Colts WR Alec Pierce caught six passes for 115 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. He was targeted 13 times during the game.
Footballguys view: Pierce had some success early, but the Colts offense was thwarted by self-inflicted wounds from five Daniel Jones turnovers. Pierce's numbers were inflated by garbage time, but this does illustrate the value he can have when the Colts are having to pass in the second half instead of sit on a big lead. Consider Pierce a what-the-heck WR3/Flex with upside against the Falcons next week.
Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams completed 20-of-34- for 280 yards and three touchdowns, and he also caught a TD pass from DJ Moore on a trick play for the Bears' first score in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Footballguys view: Williams actually caught a second pass on a trick play that Tyson Bagent threw as Ben Johnson went deep into his bag of tricks in this game. Williams should be more confident after a choppy few weeks following the bye. He's worth a look as a streaming QB1 against the Giants next week.
Atlanta Falcons LB LaCale London posted five total stops, including four of the solo variety, with two sacks, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit in Week 9 againsts the New England Patriots.
Link to storyIndianapolis Colts RB Ameer Abdullah rushed for three yards on one carry against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. He also caught one pass for two yards during the game.

Cincinnati Bengals S Jordan Battle had 12 tackles - five solo - in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears.

Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney ended up with a single 15-yard reception on two targets in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.

Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor rushed for 45 yards on 14 carries against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. He also caught two passes for 12 yards during the game.
Footballguys view: Not every game can be a three touchdown banger from Taylor. The game got away from the Colts because of Daniel Jones five turnovers, but they also seemed to abandon the run earlier than they needed to. The Steelers defense (including the run defense) has been inconsistent, but very strong at their best, and they were strong today. Taylor should be much more productive against the Falcons next week.

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts posted four receptions for 38 yards on seven targets in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.

Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London registered nine receptions for 118 yards and a career-high three touchdowns on a game-high 14 targets in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.
Footballguys view: London made big play after big play despite a tough matchup with Christian Gonzalez in a game that should keep him firmly at the top of the target pecking order for Michael Penix Jr. going forward. London has been up and down this season, but the ups are good enough to win your week for you like he did this week.
Cincinnati Bengals TE Noah Fant caught two of three targets for 28 yards in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed twice for just six yards in Week 9 against the New England Patriots, while he was not targeted in the passing game.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson rushed 12 times for just 46 yards in Week 9 against the New England Patriots, while adding eight receptions for 50 yards on 10 targets.

Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones went 31-for-50 for 342 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. He also rushed for four yards and one touchdown on three carries but lost two fumbles as well.
Footballguys view: Jones rushing score came on the opening drive of the game, but the rest of the day was typified by turnovers against an opportunistic Steelers defense. While his fantasy showing was still good because of garbage time stats, but you wonder if his confidence was shaken by the five giveaways. He'll face another opportunistic defense when Atlanta comes to Indianapolis next week.

Cincinnati Bengals TE Andrei Iosivas caught five of seven targets for 66 yards in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys view: Iosivas also caught the go-ahead score with less than a minute left in the game, but it didn't hold up because of a last second 58-yard score by Colston Loveland. Iosivas isn't worth rostering in typical leagues, but if Tee Higgins or Ja'Marr Chase go down later in the season, remember Iosivas as a waiver wire pickup.

New York Giants S Dane Belton recorded four solo tackles and 14 total tackles against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9.

New York Giants WR Gunner Olszewski caught one pass for 24 yards and one touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He was targeted one time during the game.

New York Giants TE Theo Johnson caught three passes for 27 yards and one touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He was targeted six times during the game.
Link to storyAtlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. completed 22-of-37 passes for 221 yards, a career-high three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 9 against the New England Patriots, while running twice for 19 yards.
Footballguys view: Penix wasn't efficient, but he was effective when throwing to Drake London, and that was enough for three scores and a solid fantasy game for anyone that counted on him as a streamer or QB2/Superflex. He'll be an option in that role next week against the Colts in a game that will likely force Penix to throw a lot again.
New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson caught nine passes for 46 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He was targeted 11 times during the game.
Link to storyCincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins caught seven of nine targets for 121 yards with two touchdowns in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys view: Higgins was winning the ball in the air repeatedly as the connection with Joe Flacco came fully online in this game. Flacco's risk-taking nature as a quarterback is playing right into Higgins' strengths. His value is surging heading into his bye, which might come at the right time. Higgins suffered an apparent injury late in the fourth quarter. He remained down at the end of a play after making a catch. He walked off the field under his own power but did not return. We'll follow up as needed.

Tennessee Titans LB Cody Barton posted six total tackles with two solo stops, a pass defensed and a 24-yard interception return for a touchdown in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyCody Barton player page
New York Giants WR Darius Slayton caught five passes for 62 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He was targeted seven times during the game.
Footballguys view: Slayton's stat line was good enough if you rolled him out there as a WR3/Flex. The Bears pass defense was run ragged by the Bengals and Joe Flacco in Week 9, so Slayton has some WR3/Flex potential against them next week.

Tennessee Titans WR Chimere Dike finished with a single 5-yard reception on three targets in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while adding four kick returns for 117 yards, and three punt returns for 98 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown.
Footballguys view: Dike was quiet in the passing game coming off of two strong performances, but he still influenced the game with a punt return score and many other productive returns. Calvin Ridley is on the trade block, so Dike could still be worth carrying as a top option for Cam Ward as we wait for Ward to improve on the field and in the box score.
Tennessee Titans TE Chig Okonkwo ended up with a pair of receptions or 10 yards on his two targets in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyTennessee Titans TE Gunnar Helm ended up with a 15-yard reception on his lone target in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyNew York Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. rushed for 18 yards on five carries against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He caught three passes for 19 yards during the game.
Footballguys view: Tracy's game was a letdown after it looked like he was going to be the clear starter ahead of Devin Singletary based on the backfield split after Cam Skattebo went down last week. He was a top priority waiver pickup last week, but he might not even be worth carrying into Week 10 for the matchup with the Bears, with Devin Singletary the more trusted back for the Giants right now.
Tennessee Titans WR Van Jefferson posted a single 21-yard catch on four targets in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyVan Jefferson player page
Cincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown carried 11 times for 37 yards and caught eight of 14 targets for 75 yards in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys view: Brown had a big PPR game thanks to an increased role once Samaje Perine left with an ankle injury, especially in the passing game. The Bengals are going into their bye, but there's a decent chance that Brown will be a strong RB2 play in Week 11 because Perine's injury has the potential to keep him out after the one-week break.

Tennessee Titans WR Elic Ayomanor posted three receptions for 46 yards on a team-high six targets in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyNew York Giants RB Devin Singletary rushed for 43 yards on eight carries against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He also caught two passes for eight yards during the game.
Footballguys view: Singletary got more touches than Tyrone Tracy, and he appears to be the preferred option in the red zone between the two backs. Jaxson Dart is actually the first rushing option in goal to go situations, and this offense is probably too limited for either back to have fantasy relevance. If there is one worth playing or rostering, it is Singletary.
Devin Singletary player page
Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears rushed seven times for 26 yards in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while adding three receptions for 36 yards on his three targets.
Footballguys view: Spears wasn't able to break any long runs, and there wasn't any garbage time in a close time - which was when Spears scored in Week 8. We'll wait and see if Tony Pollard gets traded as some have suggested. If that happens by the Tuesday trade deadline, Spears will gain a lot of fantasy value.
Tyjae Spears player page
Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Flacco completed 31 of 47 for 470 yards and four touchdowns against two interceptions in Week 9 vs. the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys view: Flacco's injured throwing shoulder did not limit him whatsoever in this incredible game. He threw two scores in the last two minutes to redeem two fourth quarter turnovers and set the Bengals up for an improbable comeback win that included a successful onsides kick. Instead, a 58-yard score by Colston Loveland in the waning seconds gave the Bears the win (not before an interception on a hail mary attempt by Flacco). Fantasy teams that played Flacco don't care (unless they are Bengals fans), as Flacco posted one of the best fantasy games of the season by a quarterback. He'll get some well-earned rest during the bye.
Joe Flacco player page
Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard registered 10 carries for 56 yards in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while adding a single catch for 12 yards on two targets.
Footballguys view: Pollard was stopped at the goal line on fourth down to keep him from having a decent fantasy showing, It was also a turning point in a back and forth game that saw the Titans hang with the Chargers thanks to a defensive touchdown and a special teams touchdown. There have been some trade rumors about Pollard with the deadline for deals coming up this week, we'll see if he and Tyjae Spears can both gain value by splitting this committee backfield.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart went 24-for-33 for 191 yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9. He also rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown on eight carries during the game.
Footballguys view: Two of the three touchdowns Dart accounted for came with the 49ers comfortably in the lead, but they all count the same for fantasy. While it was disappointing to see the Giants have so much trouble moving the ball against a 49ers defense that allowed 475 total yards to the Texans in Week 8, Dart still posted an elite fantasy showing thanks to his rushing ability and never say die mentality. He'll be a high ceiling QB1 against the Bears again next week.
Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward completed 12-of-21 passes for 145 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while running twice for six yards with a pair of fumbles, although both were recovered.
Link to storySan Francisco 49ers LB Tatum Bethune recorded eight solo tackles and 16 total tackles during the Week 9 game against the New York Giants.
Link to storyTennessee Titans DT Dre'Mont Jones posted four total stops, including two solo tackles, with 1.5 sacks, one tackle for loss and four quarterback hits in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Tennessee Titans LB Jihad Ward registered four total stops, including two of the solo variety, with 2.5 sacks, two tackles for loss and four quarterback hits in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storyJihad Ward player page
Tennessee Titans LB Cedric Gray registered a game-high 16 total stops with 11 solo tackles, a tack, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Link to storySan Francisco 49ers DE Mykel Williams (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 9 game, and head coach Kyle Shanahan said the team fears that it is a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Footballguys view: The first round pick had the look of an impact player for a 49ers defense that has already lost their two best defensive players for the season. San Francisco's defense was good against Jaxson Dart in Week 9, but they'll face a red hot Matthew Stafford in Week 10, and without their best young defensive lineman.
Los Angeles Chargers LB Odafe Oweh posted three total stops with two solo tackles, a pair of sacks, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers LB Daiyan Henley posted nine total stops, including four of the solo variety, with one sack, one tackle for loss, one pass defensed and one quarterback hit in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.

San Francisco 49ers WR Skyy Moore caught one pass for 21 yards against New York Giants in Week 9, while WR Jordan Watkins caught one pass for 19 yards during the game. Both were targeted on time during the game.
Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers TE Tucker Fisk posted a 12-yard reception on his only catch and target in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.
Link to storySan Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught four passes for 32 yards against the New York Giants in Week 9. He was targeted four times during the game.
Footballguys view: Kittle has done more for the 49ers offense with his blocking, helping revive the running game, then he has done in the conservative passing game now that the 49ers have morphed into a ball control offense. He's still a TE1 heading into a matchup with the Rams, but the spike games may be rare in the second half of the season.
