Link to storySan Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (calf) appears to have a good chance play in the Week 1 despite his calf injury, according to sources.
Footballguys view: McCaffrey first was added to the injury report on Thursday as a limited participant. On Friday, McCaffrey was officially a DNP. Now here we are on Saturday, and reports indicate he's going to play. Fantasy GMs need to be cautious here, but that's the way most of us already are approaching McCaffrey at this point in his career. He's an RB1 when healthy, and if Brian Robinson (his primary backup) has to play he's an RB2/flex play. |

Chicago Bears RB Kyle Monangai (hamstring) fully participated in practice Saturday, Sept. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.
Footballguys view: Monangai might be the primary backup to D'Andre Swift on Monday night. We love the rookie's skill set, and he's a Matt Waldman favorite, so it will be fun to see what he can do if/when he gets touches in Week 1. |
Houston Texans practice squad FB Jakob Johnson was elevated to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 6, and will be available for the Week 1 game.

Los Angeles Rams practice squad RB Cody Schrader was elevated to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 6, and will be available for the Week 1 game.
Footballguys view: It's an interesting move for the Rams here. Schrader is a good all-purpose back who could serve as the team's no.3 runner behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum. We will monitor him in super deep dynasty formats. |
Miami Dolphins practice squad RB Jeff Wilson Jr. was elevated to the active roster Saturday, Sept. 6, and will be available for the Week 1 game.
Footballguys view: With Jaylen Wright banged up, the Dolphins needed to make a move. Wilson is a seasoned veteran who can work on all three downs. DeVon Achane is the lead back for Miami with rookie Ollie Gordon (who we love in dynasty) as the primary backup. Wilson will serve as the no.3 back. |

Link to storyThe Cleveland Browns are expected to receive a temporary roster exemption from the National Football League for RB Quinshon Judkins, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Footballguys view: This is considered to be a standard procedure for players who missed camp and would allow Judkins to practice with the Browns while getting acclimated to the organization. The exemption is unrelated to the league's ongoing investigation into a domestic violence incident involving Judkins, which could result in NFL disciplinary action even though all formal charges have been dropped. |
The Tennessee Titans and S Amani Hooker agreed to terms on a three-year, $48.6 million contract extension Saturday, Sept. 6, according to his agent Jack Bechta. The deal will pay him an average of $14 million annually and includes $29 million of guaranteed money.

Link to storyUpdating previous reports, Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) will undergo an MRI exam on his injured right shoulder when the team returns home from Brazil, according to head coach Andy Reid.
Footballguys view: Things didn't look great for Worthy after Travis Kelce ran into him on a pick play Friday night. We'll know more about this injury after the MRI is done. With Worthy potentially out of action with a shoulder problem and Rashee Rice suspended for five more games, the Chiefs will lean on Hollywood Brown and Kelce in their passing game. In addition, Tyquan Thornton has speed and could be used on some plays that mainly go to Worthy. |
Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is not expected to face any discipline from the National Football League for his role in a spitting incident with Philadelphia Eagles DT Jalen Carter Thursday, Sept. 4.
Footballguys view: Prescott tried to sell the story that he spits all over the place all the time and that he was not aiming towards Carter or any Eagles player. While that's difficult to believe, the NFL cannot rule on Prescott's intentions. |
