Bears | No practice for Rome Odunze Wed Nov 5, 03:47 PM
Chicago Bears WR Rome Odunze (ankle, heel) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: Just like last week, Odunze is not practicing on Wednesday. He did not catch any of his three targets in the Bears' Week 9 win against the Bengals. However, Odunze was only dealing with a heel injury then. Now, he's got an ankle problem too. That could mean more Luther Burden and DJ Moore if Odunze has to miss Week 10.
Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore (groin, hip) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: Moore is a seasoned veteran, and he's getting Wednesday's off now. If he practices on Friday, Moore should be ready for Week 10 against the Giants. Fantasy GMs look at Moore as a WR3/flex option.

Chicago Bears DB Josh Blackwell (concussion), DB Kevin Byard (back, ankle), LB T.J. Edwards (hand, hamstring), DL Grady Jarrett (rest), WR DJ Moore (hip, groin), WR Rome Odunze (ankle, heel), and DL Domionique Robinson (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5. RB Roschon Johnson (back), TE Cole Kmet (concussion), RB Kyle Monangai (ankle), and RB D'Andre Swift (groin) were limited in practice. WR Luther Burden III (concussion) and LB Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee) practiced in full.

Buffalo Bills RB James Cook (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: This could be just a bit of rest for the Bills' featured back. Cook rushed 27 times for 114 yards in a Week 9 win over the Chiefs. Circle back on Friday to see if Cook is ready to roll against a bad Dolphins defense in Week 10.
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot) will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list because the team wants him to be healthy, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Footballguys view: Murray will be able to return in Week 14 if he's ready. Now, Murray can focus on getting healthy and then see if the team still wants him as the starter. Murray has been outshined by Jacoby Brissett, and it's not even that close. The offense just hums with Brissett while it struggles with Murray. Boost all Cardinals' pass-catchers with Brissett under center.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (fibula) was not at practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: Coming off a Week 9 bye, there was some hope Godwin could get back out to practice. That's not the case, and the team is looking at missing Godwin for another game. Sterling Shepard and Tez Johnson should operate as the team's top receivers while Godwin continues to miss time.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: We'll see if Irving can get out there this week as the Bucs prepare to take on the Patriots in Week 10. If Irving has to miss another contest, Rachaad White will continue as the starter and lead back. White rushed 13 times for 35 yards in the Buccaneers' Week 8 win over the Saints, adding two receptions for 26 yards.
Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) will not play in the Week 10 game because of his concussion, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Footballguys view: It's now official that Stroud will miss this game against the Jaguars. Davis Mills took over for Stroud against the Broncos last week, and now he's the starter for Week 10. That's a downgrade for all of the receivers in the Texans' offense.

Free-agent WR Mac Dalena (Chiefs) was signed to the Seattle Seahawks practice squad Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Link to storyCarolina Panthers RB Rico Dowdle (quad) and G Chandler Zavala (elbow) did not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5. DB Lathan Ransom (illness) was limited in practice. G Damien Lewis (oblique), G Cade Mays (ankle, knee), and DE Princely Umanmielen (ankle) practiced in full.

New Orleans Saints practice squad RB Audric Estime was signed to the 53-man roster Wednesday, Nov. 5. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyCarolina Panthers RB Rico Dowdle (quadriceps) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: The Panthers are taking it easy on Dowdle as he deals with this quad injury. Panthers HC Dave Canales did mention that Dowdle could be out there on Thursday. They'll be smart with Dowdle as he deals with this, and he's certainly productive when out there. Against the Saints in Week 10, Dowdle should perform like an RB1 for Fantasy GMs.

Cleveland Browns WR Isaiah Bond (foot) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Link to storyNew York Jets WR Garrett Wilson (knee) was seen at practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: Wilson has been out of action since injuring his knee in Week 6. The Jets made a ton of changes before Tuesday's trade deadline, but they did not deal Wilson. He's set to be out there against the Browns in Week 10. Before setting your lineup for the week, make sure he's good to go on Friday.
Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Footballguys view: Reporters around the team suggest Stroud is not going to be ready for Week 10. That means Davis Mills is preparing as the starter. Stroud has to go through league concussion protocol, and a DNP on Wednesday means he's likely trending to miss a week (at least).

New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) will not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: Boutte is considered day-to-day with this hamstring injury. These are tricky to deal with, so the Patriots are being wisely cautious here. Mack Hollins and Kyle Williams would do more if Boutte had to miss Week 10.

New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) will not practice on Wednesday, Nov. 5, according to Head Coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: Stevenson's toe injury has kept him out of action since Week 8. He missed Week 9, and a DNP to begin this week is not a good sign for his availability. The team is preparing to face the Buccaneers in Week 10, and they may turn to TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings again.

Link to storyJacksonville Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) is dealing with a low-grade ankle sprain, although there is a chance to play in Week 10 against the Houston Texans.
Footballguys view: Thomas was not dealt at the trade deadline, and now he's looking to get out there in a divisional matchup against the Texans in Week 10. It's a high-ankle sprain, and that could take a few weeks to properly heal - even if they classify it as a low-grade sprain.
Los Angeles WR Brenden Rice was signed to the practice squad roster of the New England Patriots on Tuesday, Nov. 4. He is the son of Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice. RB Jonathan Ward was released from the practice squad.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele has played sparingly, but he is likely to see an increase in playing time following the trade of WR Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks.
Footballguys view: The Saints made the move to add Vele from the Broncos for a fourth-round pick, and he's been used sparingly with his new team. Vele has played only 40 percent or more of the team's offensive snaps once this season, and he hasn't had more than two catches for 13 yards at any point. Now without Shaheed ahead of him on the depth chart, we'll see if the second-year pro gets more snaps.
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, injury or not, has lost his starting position. Jacoby Brissett was named the new starting quarterback for the team by head coach Jonathan Gannon on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Free-agent CB Asante Samuel Jr. (Chargers) is under consideration to be signed by the Green Bay Packers, with CB Nate Hobbs (knee) on the shelf, and just four healthy cornerbacks heading into Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Doctors cleared Samuel for football activities after he underwent spinal fusion surgery in April.
Link to storyGreen Bay Packers CBs Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine are expected to start in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles, with CBs Bo Melton and Kamal Hadden as the other two healthy cornerbacks on the roster.

Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers CB Nate Hobbs (knee) has a small tear in his medial collateral ligament, a Grade I sprain, which will not require surgery. It is not the same knee he previously had a torn meniscus. He had played 19 snaps in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.

Los Angeles Chargers CB Ja'Sir Taylor to the New York Jets for a 2028 conditional seventh-round draft pick.
Link to storyThe Cardinals are sticking with QB Jacoby Brissett as their starter for Sunday's game in Seattle.
Footballguys view: As NFL.com suggested, it's remarkable how much better Arizona's offense operates with Brissett, who has excellent rapport with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, than it has with Kyler Murray. Head coach Jonathan Gannon also sees it. He told reporters Tuesday that Murray is still getting healthy, but "I do like how we're operating as an offense," and so Gannon's not waiting to say Brissett will remain the QB. So, at least for one more game, Brissett, who can clearly execute coordinator Drew Petzing's offense efficiently and essentially keep the Cardinals on schedule, will do that for at least one more week.
