Link to storyLos Angeles Chargers OT Joe Alt (ankle) is scheduled to undergo season-ending ankle surgery.
Footballguys view: The fear on Sunday was that Alt's season was over, and that fear came true on Monday. The Chargers have now lost both of their starting offensive tackles to injuries this season. Los Angeles' other starting OT Rashawn Slater tore his patellar tendon during a practice in August, resulting in him being ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 season. Alt was initially moved to the left tackle position to fill in for Slater. The Chargers' starting right tackle, Bobby Hart, also suffered a groin injury in Sunday's game.
Buffalo Bills WR Joshua Palmer (ankle, knee) is expected to be at least a limited participant during practice this week, according to head coach Sean McDermott. Palmer's availability for Week 10 is uncertain at this time.
Footballguys view: As Sports Illustrated suggested, Palmer's absence hurt an already reeling Bills' wide receiving corps, which has struggled to produce outside of what has come from Khalil Shakir this season. If the Bills fail to land a wide receiver at the trade deadline, Palmer's contributions will become increasingly critical down the stretch. The Bills return to the practice field on Wednesday before taking on the Dolphins on Sunday in Miami.

Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) is unlikely to be available to play in the Week 10 game, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Footballguys view: "I don't foresee [McLaurin]) making it for this weekend," Quinn said. "Knowing it's game-game-bye, that has an effect. But I don't have a timetable today." On Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that McLaurin could miss "possibly multiple weeks" due to the latest injury. Washington hosts Detroit next week and then heads over to Madrid to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 11 before a much-needed bye week. If that's the timeline, McLaurin could miss three games and have an extra week of rest before returning Week 13 against the Denver Broncos. We'll be watching for more.

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels (elbow) has officially been diagnosed with a dislocated elbow and does not have a timetable at this point, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Footballguys view: The decision to have Daniels in the game while down 31 points in a blowout came back to bite the Commanders. Quinn acknowledged he erred by not paying enough attention to the possibility of Daniels being at risk. "I know many of you have been asking about the thought process of Jayden being in the game in that situation," Quinn said. "I get that. I've been thinking about it, honestly, nonstop too. For me, the answer is 'I missed it.' That's 100 percent on me." It's on Quinn, but we'll all pay a price with Daniels out.
New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson (knee) is expected to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
Footballguys view: A return to practice would put Wilson in line to suit up for the team's Week 10 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Wilson has been the Jets' most reliable receiver so far this 2025 season. Through six games this season, he leads New York in targets (56), receptions (36), receiving yards (395), and receiving touchdowns (4). We'll continue to monitor his progress in coming days.
For the second consecutive season, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is relinquishing playcalling duties. Stefanski said Monday that offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will call plays Sunday in the team's road game against the New York Jets. The 2-6 Browns returned from the bye and held a practice on Monday.
Footballguys view: Last season, Stefanski gave up playcalling duties to then-OC Ken Dorsey seven games into the season as the Browns posted the lowest-scoring offense in the league. This year, the Browns have the third-lowest scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 15.8 points per game. Cleveland made a change at quarterback four games into the season, benching the since-traded veteran Joe Flacco for rookie Dillon Gabriel. The move, though, hasn't been enough to jump-start Cleveland's offense. Stefanski confirmed that Gabriel would continue to be the team's starting quarterback. We'll see if this change has a greater impact than last year's.
Chicago Bears DE Dayo Odeyingbo (Achilles) has been diagnosed with a torn Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of the season, according to sources.

Washington Commanders CB Marshon Lattimore (knee) has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Acquired from the Saints last November, Lattimore had started in each of his first nine games of his first full season with Washington, tallying 27 tackles, seven pass breakups, one interception, and one fumble recovery. As CBSSports.com suggests, given the timing of the injury, Lattimore is unlikely to make a full recovery from surgery in advance of the Commanders' offseason program this spring. However, he'll have a chance at being cleared before the start of the 2026 season if he avoids any setbacks in the rehab process.

San Francisco 49ers DE Mykel Williams (knee) has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament after undergoing tests to confirm the injury, according to a source.
Footballguys view: This development marks the latest setback for a 49ers roster already dealing with multiple key injuries, including season-ending losses to linebacker Fred Warner and defensive end Nick Bosa, the team's two top defenders. The 49ers selected Williams with the 11th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he recorded 20 tackles (four for loss), three quarterback hits, a sack, and a fumble recovery across nine games.
Cincinnati Bengals RB Samaje Perine (ankle) has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
Footballguys view: As previously noted, Perine has been playing well in recent weeks. Joe Flacco has revived the Bengals offense, so the veteran back was actually worth a roster spot in some leagues. The Bengals have a Week 10 bye, so it's possible Perine won't miss any time. If he does, Chase Brown will be the clear lead back, with sixth-round pick Tahj Brooks as the backup. We'll monitor and report back as developments warrant.

New York Jets QB Tyrod Taylor (knee) is expected to participate in practice this week, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
Footballguys view: Taylor appeared to be set to move ahead of a struggling Justin Fields as the team's starting quarterback last week. However, a knee injury ultimately led to Taylor being ruled out ahead of the Jets' matchup with the Bengals. Aaron Glenn, fresh off the bye week, remained mum on his starting quarterback for Sunday against the Browns. Fields is expected to get the nod, but Glenn said he will let it play out until Sunday. We'll keep watching, but Taylor seems all but certain to open this week watching from the sidelines.

New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart (shoulder) did not suffer any serious shoulder injury after taking a hit in the Week 9 game and will be fine, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
Footballguys view: Keeping Dart in the locked and upright position has to be a goal in New York as the rookie continues to make plays despite less-than-ideal situations. Dart went 24-of-33 passing for 191 yards and two TDs for a 107.0 passer rating in the Week 9 loss to San Francisco. The signal-caller also led the Giants with eight carries for 56 yards and a score. Even in a blowout, Dart kept battling and battling. That mentality helps the Giants and fantasy investors. The Giants play the Bears in Week 10.
New England Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) is considered day-to-day because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 9 and is expected to miss some practice time early in the week, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.
Footballguys view: "I think Kayshon's going to be day-to-day, but I don't see him practicing early in the week," Vrabel told reporters on Monday. Boutte was limited to just 18 offensive snaps before leaving Sunday's 24-23 win over the Falcons. He has 23 catches for 431 yards and five touchdowns this season. Kyle Williams saw an uptick in playing time after his injury on Sunday. The Patriots play Tampa Bay in Week 10.

Minnesota Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder) is dealing with soreness in the shoulder he injured in Week 9, but head coach Kevin O'Connell said there is a chance that Jones will be available for Week 10.
Footballguys view: O'Connell told reporters on Monday that Jones' right shoulder is "sore" following Sunday's win at Detroit, but the Vikings received "positive news early on." They will see if Jones can increase his activity level as the week goes on, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Jones was the clear lead back ahead of Jordan Mason on Sunday and was at 98 total yards on only nine carries and two receptions before leaving. Mason would start if Jones can't play against the Ravens this week.

Dallas Cowboys practice squad TE Princeton Fant was elevated to the active roster Monday, Nov. 3, and will be available for the Week 9 game.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys practice squad RB Malik Davis was signed to the 53-man roster Monday, Nov. 3. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Link to storyDallas Cowboys C Cooper Beebe (ankle) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 3. The team also placed LB Jack Sanborn (groin) on the Reserve/Injured list.
Link to storyLos Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (rib) is scheduled to undergo a scan on the rib injury he suffered during the Week 9 game, but head coach Sean McVay said he is optimistic about Nacua's availability.
Footballguys view: Despite not finishing the game, Nacua continued his elite-level season in Week 9, catching seven of eight targets for 95 yards and one touchdown before leaving. He's now ranked third in all of the NFL in receiving yards (711), behind the Seattle Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba (948) and the Cincinnati Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase (831). Even with a missed game and a bye week, Nacua ranks fourth in total fantasy points at his position. His 21.3-point per game average leads all wideouts. We'll monitor his progress as the Week 10 meeting with the Niners draws nearer.

Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) is going through the concussion protocol, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Footballguys view: This is Stroud's second concussion, with him sustaining the first against the New York Jets in December 2023. As Footballguy injury expert Adam Hutchison noted, even if we can't assess the severity of a concussion based on how it looks, history suggests that NFL quarterbacks typically miss at least one game following a head injury. Stroud missed two games after his 2023 concussion. The Texans are 3-5 and host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. If Stroud can't clear the concussion protocol this week, expect Davis Mills to start.

Arizona Cardinals LB Cody Simon (illness) was added to the Week 9 injury report Monday, Nov. 3, because of an illness and is listed as questionable.
Link to storyPackers tight end Tucker Kraft is out for the season. An MRI confirmed today what was feared yesterday: Kraft suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's loss to the Panthers, according to multiple reports.
Footballguys view: The recovery time for a torn ACL is such that there's no chance of Kraft playing again this season, and he could be in jeopardy for the start of the 2026 season as well. Kraft leads the team with 489 receiving yards and six touchdowns, and he has emerged as one of the best tight ends in the NFL this season. He won't be easy to replace, but Luke Musgrave will get the opportunity to do that.
