Eagles | Jahan Dotson builds chemistry with QB    Sun Jun 22, 12:50 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jahan Dotson was able to build a connection with QB Jalen Hurts during offseason workouts because WR A.J. Brown and WR DeVonta Smith missed some of the workouts.

Footballguys view: After scoring seven touchdowns in just ten games as a rookie, there were hopes that Dotson, a first-round pick, would take a big step forward in Year 2. Unfortunately, his per-game numbers and touchdown rate both dipped before the Commanders traded him to the Eagles heading into Year 3. A condensed offense leaves little left for Dotson in Philadelphia. He'd likely need an injury to DeVonta Smith or A.J. Brown to warrant any consideration in fantasy.

Chargers | Ladd McConkey bulks up    Sun Jun 22, 12:31 PM

Los Angeles Chargers WR Ladd McConkey appears to have added some weight this offseason but still showed a terrific chemistry with Justin Herbert during offseason practices.

Footballguys view: Although McConkey had a stellar rookie season, one of his few weaknesses was yards after the catch, where his per-reception rate was below the league average. McConkey was used at every level of the field last year. If extra weight and play strength can translate to more lay-up throws that allow him to create after the catch, he might not have even scratched the surface of his potential last year.

Jets | Garrett Wilson talking deal    Sun Jun 22, 12:10 PM

New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson has started contract extension talks with the Jets, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Footballguys view: The Jets already picked up Wilson's fifth-year option for next year. But the 24-year-old receiver has shown enough upside that the team wants to make him a part of their long-term vision. While we've yet to see an immense breakout, Wilson has provided at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his three seasons in the league. Now reunited with his college quarterback, Justin Fields, he'll hope for a career year to provide him additional leverage in negotiations.

Giants | Jaxson Dart to see playing time in 2025?    Sun Jun 22, 11:39 AM

New York Giants QB Russell Wilson is still expected to be the team's Week 1 starter but QB Jaxson Dart has shown a great deal of improvement this offseason, according to head coach Brian Daboll. In the opinion of NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it seems to be a matter of 'when, not if' Dart will assume the starting role.

Footballguys view: After an 18-32-1 start to his head coaching career, it's understandable that Brian Daboll might be feeling some heat. After trading up to get Dart in Round 1 of the NFL Draft, any promise shown this year could buy him some extra job security. It's hard to know precisely when Dart will take the reins. But a bit of rushing upside and throwing the ball to Malik Nabers could make him an interesting late-season option for fantasy.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce wasn't close to retiring    Sun Jun 22, 10:28 AM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce recently said that he was never seriously close to retirement during the offseason and did not rule out playing beyond the 2025 season. 'I don't really think I thought about it much,' Kelce said following minicamp Wednesday, June 18. ' ... I love coming in to work every single day. It wasn't a very tough one for me. I know I'm getting older, but at the same time I still feel like I've got a lot I can prove in this league. With that being said, it really wasn't that hard of a decision for me.'

Footballguys view: This report conflicts with reports that swirled about Kelce mulling retirement after the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss. Either way, Kelce will play 2025 on the final year of his deal, hoping to rewind the clock as the Chiefs enter the season with a bit more offensive firepower than they had in 2024.

Bills | Elijah Moore expected to make team    Sun Jun 22, 09:23 AM

Buffalo Bills WR Elijah Moore is considered 'close to a lock' to wind up on the team's 53-man roster, in the opinion of The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia.

Footballguys view: There's been a steady drumbeat for Moore since he showed up in Buffalo this spring. Although he's yet to live up to his pre-draft expectations, he's been a consistent option on the teams he's played for. And after two-year stints with the Jets and Browns, he now gets to play with the best quarterback of his career. Moore is an underrated receiver who could find himself in a larger-than-expected role. Currently being drafted as the WR97, he's probably a bit undervalued.

Cardinals | Michael Wilson looking to improve stat    Sat Jun 21, 05:10 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Wilson said he hopes to average 13 to 15 yards per catch this upcoming season. He averaged 11.7 yards per catch in 2024.

Footballguys view: The per-game usage for Wilson remained almost identical from Year 1 to Year 2. But dips in target depth, yards after the catch, and missed tackles caused a drop in his overall production. While it's hopeful that Wilson can improve his efficiency going into Year 3, being third in the pecking order behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride will likely keep him a touchdown-dependent fantasy option for desperate managers.

Saints | Foster Moreau on track for camp?    Sat Jun 21, 04:15 PM

New Orleans Saints TE Foster Moreau (knee) hopes to be able to return to practice at some point during training camp.

Footballguys view: Moreau took a blow to the knee in Week 18 that required surgery and has kept him out of offseason activities since. Although the specifics of the injury are unknown now, we should get a clearer outlook on his return based on his availability at the start of training camp.

Saints | PUP list an option for Taysom Hill    Sat Jun 21, 04:03 PM

New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (knee) will be a candidate for the Physically Unable to Perform list if he is not ready to play when the regular season starts.

Footballguys view: After suffering structural damage to his knee late in the year, Hill, approaching his age-35 season, will have an uphill battle toward returning. If he's able to return to his former self, his hybrid role makes him a valuable fantasy tight end. But a long recovery at his age suggests that his fantasy-relevant days might be behind him.

Colts | Tyler Warren picking things up    Sat Jun 21, 02:42 PM

Indianapolis Colts TE Tyler Warren has been impressive with quickly he has picking things up during the offseason, according to head coach Shane Steichen.

Footballguys view: Warren is a tough tight end who can run by or through defenders. Tight end is a tough position to acclimate to in the NFL, and sometimes it takes a couple of seasons for a player to produce at a high level. The Colts quarterback situation is a concern, no matter if it's Daniel Jones or Anthony Richardson starting, and that puts a bit of a damper on the excitement around Warren. We like the rookie as a TE2 with upside in 2025.

Texans | Coach impressed with Jayden Higgins    Sat Jun 21, 02:27 PM

Houston Texans WR Jayden Higgins was impressive during offseason practices and showed improvement each week, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. 'I've seen a guy who's steadily got better every single week. You've seen him make even more plays. Seeing him today, this is the most plays that he's made. In our last week of camp, to see a rookie who's come in and showing right now that he could be an impact player for us, I think it means a lot,' Ryans said.

Footballguys view: Another day, and another positive report about Higgins. His body control and 'my ball' mentality stood out on tape during his college career at Iowa State. The Texans have Nico Collins as their no.1 wide receiver, and Higgins looks to be earning the no.2 job so far. He's a depth piece for most fantasy teams to begin the 2025 season, but we could see him working his way into flex appeal as the year goes on.

Jets | Malachi Corley will need to catch up    Sat Jun 21, 02:11 PM

New York Jets WR Malachi Corley (undisclosed) missed some offseason practices because of an undisclosed injury and will have to find a way to catch himself up entering training camp, according to offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand.

Footballguys view: A third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Corley was a "YAC King" at Western Kentucky but only caught three passes for 16 yards (9 games, 1 start). With the turnover at head coach and general manager, Corley is missing any sort of draft pick protection that might have been afforded him with the previous regime. He's competing with guys like Allen Lazard and Josh Reynolds to establish a pecking order behind Garrett Wilson.

Seahawks | Sam Darnold getting used to new offense    Sat Jun 21, 10:39 AM

Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold said that he has learned a lot from offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak this offseason, even though many concepts are similar to the ones used when both of them were with the San Francisco 49ers in 2023, where Kubiak had served as the passing game coordinator. Although the two offenses are not identical, having the opportunity to work with him again was one of the factors that led to Darnold signing with Seattle as a free agent.

Footballguys view: It's a Kubiak offense, and that's from the Shanahan tree (Bill Walsh if you really go back). That's the same tree that Sean McVay's offense comes from which is where Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell cut his teeth in the coaching world. Darnold is a seasoned veteran who should be able to pick up things quickly. In a Kubiak offense, the language is the most complicated thing to learn. The concepts should be quite similar to what Darnold ran in Minnesota.

49ers | Jacob Cowing earns praise during OTAs    Sat Jun 21, 10:00 AM

San Francisco 49ers WR Jacob Cowing's performance during organized team activities has impressed QB Brock Purdy. 'He's getting in and out of cuts and he's the first one to lead lines and show guys how routes are supposed to be run,' Purdy said. 'He's making a huge leap there.'

Footballguys view: He's standing out to his quarterback, and that's something to note this slow time of year. It's also something to keep track of when training camp and the preseason get here. Cowing had some Tyler Lockett comparisons when he came out of Arizona in 2024 as a fourth-round pick for the 49ers. He's got speed, route-running ability, and plays with a high football intelligence. In a crowded room behind WR Brandon Aiyuk, Cowing could stand out in the preseason. Stay tuned.

Titans | Tyjae Spears poised for big year?    Sat Jun 21, 10:00 AM

Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears has had a strong offseason, according to head coach Brian Callahan. 'I'm really excited to see what he can bring to us this year,' Callahan said.

Footballguys view: Spears has to compete for touches in the backfield with Tony Pollard, so let's be cautious with using 'big year' and the young runner in the same sentence. We appreciate his game, and Spears can work well as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. We also recognize how a rushing quarterback (Cam Ward) can open things up for the runners like Spears. However, the Titans offense isn't one we're investing heavily in this offseason. If he does play up to his potential, Spears is a flex play for Fantasy GMs in PPR formats.

Raiders | Instant impact for Dont'e Thornton Jr.    Sat Jun 21, 10:00 AM

Las Vegas Raiders WR Dont'e Thornton Jr. has 'already become a top target' for QB Geno Smith, according to Levi Edwards of Raiders.com.

Footballguys view: Thornton can flat-out fly, and his speed allows him to take the top off the defense in a hurry. His connection with Smith is something to monitor as training camp opens up in late July. With good size as well, Thornton can be a threat to attack a defense in the red zone in addition to downfield targets. Earlier reports have suggested that Thornton is "further along than expected."

Giants | Darius Slayton meshing with QB    Sat Jun 21, 10:00 AM

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton has developed a 'quality connection' with QB Russell Wilson, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: Slayton has 'what the heck' flex appeal for Fantasy GMs. Wilson should be the starter Week 1 for the Giants, and he may be starting the entire season if 2025 first-round pick Jaxson Dart isn't yet ready to take over. Let's see what this connection looks like in the preseason, but it sounds like Slayton could be a late-round flier in deeper drafts.

Steelers | Opportunity for Roman Wilson     Fri Jun 20, 09:01 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Roman Wilson will have a chance to prove he deserves a role in the offense during training camp and the preseason, according to Mike DeFabo of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: Wilson got injured early in training camp last year and only logged five offensive snaps for the entire season. He was a third-rounder in 2024 after being a key piece of Michigan's championship-winning team. There's reason to believe a healthy offseason can get him back on track, but he'll fight an uphill battle. The upside in an Aaron Rodgers-led offense is obvious. His ADP of WR88 makes him worth the minimal investment, especially in deeper leagues.

Panthers | Tommy Tremble could be PUP candidate    Fri Jun 20, 06:24 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Tommy Tremble (back) could be a candidate to start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list depending on his recovery, in the opinion of PanthersWire's Anthony Rizzuti.

Footballguys view: Tremble has been a solid depth piece for the Panthers, who brought him back on a two-year deal following his rookie contract. He had back surgery at the end of May. Head coach Dave Canales said he's hopeful the veteran tight end will be rehabbing when training camp starts.

Giants | Cam Skattebo missed time this offseason    Fri Jun 20, 05:55 PM

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (undisclosed) missed a good amount of time this offseason because of an undisclosed injury but is not believed to be dealing with anything serious.

Footballguys view: While it's good that it's believed to be nothing serious, missing valuable offseason reps can often be a tough hurdle for rookies to clear. We'll monitor Skattebo's situation when rookies report to Giants' training camp on July 15th.

Chargers | Mike Williams expected to start    Fri Jun 20, 05:05 PM

Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams is expected to be one of the starting receivers this season because of his experience with QB Justin Herbert in the past.

Footballguys view: Aside from Ladd McConkey, there's a lot of overlap among the potential WR2s in Los Angeles. Williams, Quentin Johnston, and Tre Harris are all big-bodied receivers with above-average speed. It makes sense that a familiar veteran would get the early nod as a starter. But he's far from the player he was early in his career, now four years removed from his last 1,000-yard season. The Chargers will likely hope that Harris, their second-round rookie, can climb the depth chart ahead of Williams throughout camp.

Jaguars | OC heaps praise on Brenton Strange    Fri Jun 20, 03:09 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Brenton Strange has 'a lot of physical traits that can be a balanced tight end and do a lot of different things that this offense will ask him to do,' according to recent comments from offensive coordinator Grant Udinski.'His work ethic, first and foremost, is hopefully a leadership attribute that the guys can model and see what he does on a day-to-day basis. But from a leadership standpoint and just from a player standpoint, you see a guy with a lot of potential to just continue to grow, whether it's in the pass game or the run game. ... A guy with a lot of physical traits that can be that balanced tight end and do a lot of different things that this offense will ask him to do,' Udinski said.

Footballguys view: Strange, a former second-round pick, spent the first two years of his career buried on the depth chart behind Evan Engram. Engram missed eight games last year. Strange flashed a bit in his absence, especially in his 11-reception outing in Week 15. Despite expectations of being the Week 1 starter, he's being drafted as the TE23, leaving a lot of room to exceed his ADP. He'll likely struggle to find consistent production behind Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter. But like Cade Otton last year, he's just an injury away from what could be a significant role.

Free-agent LB C.J. Mosley (Jets) and the Baltimore Ravens had 'mutual interest,' but Mosley was unable to get cleared on his neck injury before ultimately deciding to retire. Mosley was a first-round draft choice of the Ravens in 2014 and played his first five NFL seasons in Baltimore.

Cowboys | Jake Ferguson eyeing rebound season    Fri Jun 20, 01:08 PM

Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson's physical condition and determination have been 'noticeably different in a good way this offseason, according to recent comments from head coach Brian Schottenheimer.'I think last year was a fluke (for Ferguson). He definitely dealt with some stuff that was hard for him. Jake's always motivated. Jake is one of those tone setters who just plays the right way. But the look in his eyes and the way his body looks, in terms of physique, and the way he's moving has been noticeably different in a good way,' head coach Brian Schottenheimer told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Footballguys view: Ferguson landed a volume-rich role in 2023, pulling 102 targets. Despite missing a few games last year, he actually averaged more targets per game. With Dak Prescott presumably healthy to start the year, the entire Cowboys offense should get back on track. The addition of George Pickens could be a detriment to Ferguson's previously lucrative role. But he's being drafted as the TE16, making him a worthy late-round target with much more upside than risk.

Raiders | Raheem Mostert next in line    Fri Jun 20, 11:51 AM

Las Vegas Raiders RB Raheem Mostert will be the RB2 for the team that will spell RB Ashton Jeanty, in the opinion of SI.com's Hondo Carpenter.

Footballguys view: The incumbent running backs, Sincere McCormick and Zamir White, didn't do much last year. Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly were quick to address the positional weakness by signing Mostert in free agency. And they made an even bigger splash by drafting Jeanty sixth overall. It was expected that Mostert would be the team's RB2, even before this official report. But the staff's history of leaning on one back, coupled with Jeanty's flawless profile, likely means that Mostert would need an injury ahead of him to see meaningful snaps.

Chiefs | Tyquan Thornton impressing coach    Fri Jun 20, 02:03 AM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyquan Thornton performed well during minicamp, according to head coach Andy Reid. 'He's got the quarterback's trust,' Reid said. 'That's an important thing. He's gotten some valuable reps here.'

Footballguys view: Looking at the Chiefs' depth chart, it isn't easy to envision Thornton in a role that would provide any fantasy production. However, he's a former second-round pick with off-the-charts speed and athleticism, and still just 25. His situation in camp is worth monitoring, although it would probably take multiple injuries for him to find the field consistently.

Steelers | Quick passes for DK Metcalf?    Fri Jun 20, 02:03 AM

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf could run more slant routes this year to help protect QB Aaron Rodgers, in the opinion of Mike DeFabo of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: Metcalf has never been in an offense that's fed him easy targets. He's ranked well above the league average in target depth every year of his career. But game-breaking speed and after-the-catch tenacity could help him benefit from routes that get him the ball in stride across the middle of the field. Assuming Aaron Rodgers can keep the ship afloat, the lack of competition for Metcalf's touches makes a career year seem well within reach.

Rams | Coach excited about Tutu Atwell    Fri Jun 20, 02:03 AM

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said he believes WR Tutu Atwell is ready to take his play to another level this upcoming season.

Footballguys view: The Rams made a surprising investment in Atwell this offseason, bringing him back on a $10M deal. With Puka Nacua and Davante Adams expected to draw the defensive gravity, Atwell can theoretically use his speed to get behind defenses for big plays. But with a career high of 562 yards in a season, it's ok for fantasy drafters to take a wait-and-see approach.

Ravens | DeAndre Hopkins helping teammates    Fri Jun 20, 02:03 AM

Baltimore Ravens WR DeAndre Hopkins has been helping the other receivers with advice this offseason, according to WR Rashod Bateman.

Footballguys view: Despite a midseason trade to a receiver-needy Kansas City team last year, Hopkins struggled to find a productive role for himself. The Ravens ranked 31st in pass attempts last year. And with Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, and Isaiah Likely all projected ahead of him in the pecking order, it's hard to expect much from a 33-year-old Hopkins. After playing with the Chiefs last year and the Ravens this year, Hopkins' primary goal appears to be getting a ring before he retires.

Chiefs | No suspension for Rashee Rice at this point    Fri Jun 20, 02:03 AM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice will not face the possibility of a suspension until his off-field legal issues are resolved.

Footballguys view: Rice's legal issues have been looming for over a year now. But with no clear end in sight, he's trending toward dodging a suspension in 2025. With recent news that he's on track to be a full-go in training camp after last year's season-ending LCL tear, expect him to be a quick riser in drafts, likely settling in as a Round 2 pick.

Cardinals | Michael Wilson in line to start?    Fri Jun 20, 02:03 AM

Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Wilson appears likely to be one of the starting wide receivers this upcoming season, in the opinion of AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.

Footballguys view: Behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, the corps of pass-catchers in Arizona leaves a lot to be desired. But Wilson, a former third-round pick, has had a pretty quiet start to his career despite being a full-time player. He's got the size and physicality to be a threat in the red zone. But in fantasy, he's little more than a touchdown-depedant WR5 unless Kyler Murray take a huge step forward.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce expected to handle significant snaps again    Fri Jun 20, 12:47 AM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is set to turn 36 years old in October, but head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Thursday, June 19, that he has no intention to limit Kelce's snaps this season.'I'm not feeling that. It would be similar to last year, I would imagine. ... So, he's in great shape right now, so I think he's looking forward to getting going. 'I always watch him. I always keep an eye on him. I know he's getting older. He doesn't know he is getting older, but I do so I can be the bad guy in some cases there and if I think it's catching up to him a little bit, I'll pull off and put him where he needs to be. Other than that, he hasn't shown me any of that yet. He's done real well,' Reid said.

Footballguys view: Despite turning in the worst production since his single-game rookie season in 2013, Kelce was still a viable fantasy option last year, albeit without his typical ceiling. With improved pass-catchers around him now, it's expected that Kelce will continue his downward trajectory. However, these concerns are baked into his cost. Kelce was third in targets last year among all tight ends. If that usage is similar in 2025, slightly better touchdown luck could push him back to another high-end finish.

Texans | Joe Mixon may not be ready for start of camp    Fri Jun 20, 12:23 AM

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon (foot, ankle) should be ready to participate in training camp 'at some point,' although it may not be the first day or so of practice, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson.

Footballguys view: Mixon has consistently dealt with foot and ankle injuries throughout his career, even as recently as last season. A Week 2 hip drop tackle caused an ankle sprain that forced him to miss the next three weeks. He was limited in practice for the majority of the rest of the season, but suited up every week after his return. Mixon is a hard-nosed veteran with a history of playing through injuries. He's returning to an offense in which he found success last year. Barring news of a setback, there should be little concern about his 2025 outlook.

Steelers | Jonathan Ward let go    Thu Jun 19, 03:07 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jonathan Ward was released on Thursday, June 19.

Browns | Cleveland swaps out tight ends    Thu Jun 19, 02:51 PM

Cleveland Browns Tre' McKitty was waived on Thursday, June 19. Free-agent TE Sal Cannella (UFL) was signed to an undisclosed contract to replace him on the roster.

Footballguys view: You're seeing a few UFL players signed this week. With the Arlington Renegades, Canella caught 44 passes for 474 yards with a touchdown this season (he was selected as All-UFL). Cannella was undrafted out of Auburn in 2020, and he's had a few chances in the NFL with teams like the Dolphins, Packers, Seahawks, and Buccaneers. Now, the former UFL receiving touchdown leader (2024) will try to latch on with the Browns.

Browns | Shedeur Sanders traffic citation update    Thu Jun 19, 02:18 PM

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders' citation for driving 101 miles per hour in a 60 mile-per-hour speed limit zone on June 17 was his second such violation in two weeks and occurred one day after he was scheduled to appear in court for a speeding ticket he received on June 6.

Footballguys view: The Browns need a quarterback who can handle himself on and off the field. Sanders missing court for a previous speeding ticket is not a great look as he competes for the starting job with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. We'll see if Sanders can take care of his speeding tickets and win this job at some point. Some reporters around the team do not believe it's possible for Sanders to win the job Week 1.

Chiefs | HC gives positive update on Jared Wiley    Thu Jun 19, 01:18 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Jared Wiley (knee) did enough at the end of mandatory minicamp to convince head coach Andy Reid that he should be fine for the start of training camp.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Chiefs here. Dynasty GMs are interested in Wiley and his big-bodied WR-like skill set in the Chiefs offense. Travis Kelce is arguably the best tight end in NFL history, and he's in the best shape of his life (per reports) entering this season, but Father Time is undefeated and the Chiefs will need a TE of the future. Wiley is on the list, so we'll watch to see what he can do and take fliers on that upside in deep dynasty formats.

Browns | Diontae Johnson to handle the slot?    Thu Jun 19, 01:18 PM

Cleveland Browns WR Diontae Johnson is the 'clear favorite' to be the starting slot receiver, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: We'd feel better about updates with the Browns if we knew who the quarterback was going to be. Johnson has talent and experience, but four teams have given up on him so far (all four in 2024), and he needs to stay healthy and impress with his newest team. He will compete with second-year WR Jamari Thrash for the slot receiver duties with the Browns in 2025.

Panthers | Bryce Young still improving    Thu Jun 19, 01:18 PM

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young's improvements have allowed the offense to take a step forward, according to head coach Dave Canales. 'And he's showing such great mastery of what we're doing that he's allowing us to really push the envelope and do more things,' Canales said.

Footballguys view: Young has had some rough times in the NFL, but he's certainly trending in the right direction based on how he turned things around last year. Now, the third-year quarterback is looking to take that next step. The Panthers have put more weapons around him on offense, including 2025 first-round pick WR Tetairoa McMillan. Fantasy GMs can get Young as a QB2, but the potential is there for him to push for low-end QB1 numbers in 2025.

Chiefs | Josh Simmons likely to be fully cleared for camp    Thu Jun 19, 01:14 PM

Kansas City Chiefs OT Josh Simmons (knee) should be a full participant at the start of training camp next month, according to head coach Andy Reid on Thursday, June 19.

Footballguys view: The Chiefs wanted Simmons at the end of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and they were able to get him even though he was banged up (one of the reasons why he fell to the end of the first). A cornerstone LT for Ohio State, Simmons ruptured his patellar tendon in Week 7 against Oregon and has been recovering this offseason. When healthy, Simmons is an athletic player with the ability to be a solid pass protector (and starter of course) in the NFL.

Chiefs | Rashee Rice should be full-go for training camp    Thu Jun 19, 01:06 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (knee) should be a full participant at the start of training camp next month, according to head coach Andy Reid on Thursday, June 19.

Footballguys view: Good news for the Chiefs here. Rice has the talent to be a top target on one of the league's best offenses if he can stay healthy. Last year, Rice caught 24 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns in four games. After a rookie season in 2023 that saw him push for 1,000 yards receiving with seven touchdowns, Fantasy GMs know that WR1 upside is there for Rice. You can get him as a mid-range WR2 target in your drafts, and Rice could easily be a breakout player this season.

Patriots | TreVeyon Henderson brings juice to NE's offense    Thu Jun 19, 01:17 AM

New England Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson is a 'home run threat every time he touches the ball' and offers 'a dynamic New England just hasn't had' in recent years, in the opinion of The Athletic's Chad Graff, who writes that the expectation is that Henderson will split carries with RB Rhamondre Stevenson this season.

Footballguys view: Henderson is a player who has some Christian McCaffrey to his game. Like McCaffrey, Henderson is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. He'll work this season in tandem with power back Rhamondre Stevenson, but Henderson could push for 800 yards on the ground with 30-35 receptions as a rookie. That makes him a low-end RB2 or flex option for Fantasy GMs in PPR leagues.

Bills | Curtis Samuel considered a lock    Thu Jun 19, 12:22 AM

Buffalo Bills WR Curtis Samuel is a 'lock' to make the 53-man roster, in the opinion of The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia, who writes that the team will carry five or six receivers with Samuel, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer as the other locks.

Footballguys view: Samuel is a versatile weapon for the Bills offense, and he can attack a defense on the ground as a runner and as a receiver down the field. With an offense that spreads the ball around, there's not much fantasy value to be mined with the veteran receiver. We see Samuel as a gadget player who is in line for about 25 catches and a small handful of rushes in 2025. He may be a lock for the Bills, but Samuel is not going to be on many fantasy teams unless injuries cause him to rise up the depth chart.
