| Footballguys view: Cooks, a 12-year NFL veteran, reached an agreement with the Saints to be released from the team on Nov. 22. He now joins the receiver room in Buffalo, marking the sixth team the former first-round pick will play for. First drafted by the Saints at No. 20 overall in 2014, Cooks has racked up 9,697 receiving yards, 60 touchdowns, and 13.3 yards per catch during his career. It will take some time for Cooks to get up to speed here, but working in a receiving corps with few standouts, we'll see if he can earn opportunities down the stretch. |

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is not interested in being shut down for the rest of the season. With the Commanders at 3-8, there has been some thought that Daniels might not suit up again in 2025 to keep him healthy for 2026. But that's not really what Daniels wants. "If I'm back out there, I'm healthy, and I'm ready to go, I want to be out there," Daniels said.
| Footballguys view: Daniels suffered a nasty-looking elbow injury in Washington's Nov. 2 loss to Seattle. Head coach Dan Quinn said this week that Daniels is set to return to practice, though the quarterback has not yet been cleared for contact. Daniels added that he's been throwing, though he wouldn't put a timetable on how close he thinks he is to being able to return. Marcus Mariota is set to start against the Broncos on Sunday Night Football this week. |

Los Angeles Chargers RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) had his practice window opened on Tuesday, Nov. 25, to return from injured reserve. The team has 21 days to add him to the active roster.
| Footballguys view: Hampton was the 22nd overall pick in April's draft, and he started the first five games of the season for the Chargers. He ran 66 times for 314 yards and two touchdowns in those games. He also caught 20 passes for 136 yards. Kimani Vidal has been the lead back for the Chargers with Hampton, Najee Harris, and Hassan Haskins on injured reserve. Hampton will be able to practice for the next 21 days and can be activated at any point in that window. The Chargers, who had a bye in Week 12, will play the Raiders this Sunday. |

Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo will be a strong candidate for the New York Giants' head coaching vacancy in the offseason. He has familiarity and a relationship with general manager Joe Schoen.
| Footballguys view: Fantasy investors would prefer an offensive-minded coach, but Empire Sports Media's Anthony Rivardo notes that several reporters and insiders have linked Anarumo to the Giants. Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post took it one step further, recently posting on X that Anarumo is the "slight favorite" for the job at this current moment. Anarumo and Schoen had overlapping years with the Miami Dolphins. Anarumo was a member of Miami's coaching staff from 2012 to 2017, while Schoen was in the Dolphins' front office from 2008 to 2016. If he's able to finish the season leading the league in catches, he'll become the first running back to do so since Roger Craig in 1985. With 796 rushing yards (tied for 10th in the NFL) and 785 receiving yards after Monday, McCaffrey has five games left to become the first player ever to pull off the feat twice. No surprise, McCaffrey, who has a Week 14 bye ahead, is currently the RB1 overall in fantasy. |

| Footballguys view: Kamara is likely to miss time. It could be a week. Maybe more, but Underhill stressed this is "nothing super serious or threatening long term." He also noted that Kamara and his recovery team have beaten timelines before to get back on the field sooner than expected. Devin Neal and Audric Estime are the only other running backs on the 53-man roster, with Evan Hull stashed on the practice squad. But it was Taysom Hill seeing the lion's share of rushes when Kamara was ruled out in Sunday's Falcons game. We'll be watching for more here. |

| Footballguys view: While Mayfield's status for Sunday's game against the Cardinals remains uncertain, there are no long-term injury concerns. Bowles said earlier Monday that losing Mayfield would be a "big loss." Teddy Bridgewater is standing by, but the sprain is said to be low-grade and Mayfield has never missed a start in his three seasons with the Bucs, starting all 45 regular-season games thus far. The last time he missed a game due to injury was with the Carolina Panthers in 2022, when he suffered a high ankle sprain. We'll be watching for more. |

| Footballguys view: Jackson missed more than a month earlier this season with a hamstring injury. Since returning on October 30 against the Dolphins, Jackson has been operating at less than top speed. His rushing numbers are at a career low, he's been sacked more times with 195 pass attempts than he was last year with 474 passes thrown, and he's failed to throw for more than 200 yards in the previous three games. Jackson has also gone back-to-back games without a touchdown pass for the first time in six years. The Ravens nevertheless keep winning, including five in a row. |
