Footballguys view: We like Fairweather in super deep dynasty formats. It's takes some time for tight ends to develop in the pros, sometimes three years, but with his size/athleticism combination, there might be something there in the future. |

Free-agent RB Dante Miller (Giants), WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey (Giants) and WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette (Giants) were signed to the New York Giants practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: The Giants add some players here that we'll be monitoring, but only in super deep dynasty formats. Smith-Marsette is the player who could stand out here the most because of his speed. A fifth-round pick of the Vikings in 2021, the Giants are his fifth pro team. |

New York Giants WR Gunner Olszewski was released Wednesday, Aug. 27.

New England Patriots WR Javon Baker was waived Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: The Patriots moving on from another pick here. Baker was a fourth-round pick for them just last year, and now he's waived. Coming out of UCF (Alabama transfer), Baker has good ball-tracking ability on deep passes. It's clear this month that the Patriots wanted to rework the WR room with Baker being waived and Kendrick Bourne being released. |
Free-agent RB Ronnie Rivers (Rams), RB Cody Schrader (Rams), WR Tru Edwards (Rams) and WR Brennan Presley (Rams) were signed to the Los Angeles Rams practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: Let's keep an eye on these running backs, and Schrader is a player in crazy deep dynasty we'll monitor. Schrader was undrafted coming out of Missouri in 2024, and he's spent time with the 49ers and the Rams. He's adept at running in wide zone, and that's a system he could produce within if given the opportunity. |
Free-agent WR Mason Kinsey (Titans), WR Xavier Restrepo (Titans), WR James Proche (Titans), QB Trevor Siemian (Titans), RB Jordan Mims (Titans), Jermar Jefferson (Titans) and TE Thomas Odukoya (Titans) were signed to the Tennessee Titans practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: Restrepo is the player we want to watch most here, but only in super deep dynasty formats. A college teammate of QB Cam Ward, Restrepo is a slot-only receiver who can work underneath routes. He's quicker than he is fast, but Restrepo can be a reliable target to move the chains. |

Footballguys view: We've seen Johnson have some good games in the regular season, so in super deep dynasty formats we'll keep an eye on him. |

Free-agent WR Alex Bachman (Raiders), RB Chris Collier (Raiders), WR Shedrick Jackson (Raiders), QB Cam Miller (Raiders), TE Albert Okwuegbunam (Raiders), TE Carter Runyon (Raiders) and WR Justin Shorter (Raiders) were signed to the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: Miller is a quarterback we'll monitor in crazy deep dynasty formats. Undrafted out of North Dakota State, Miller has good traits as a runner in addition to his processing power as a passer. He may lack arm strength on boundary/deep throws, but there's enough moxie here to keep around as a developmental prospect. |

Free-agent WR Chandler Brayboy (Jaguars), QB Seth Henigan (Jaguars), TE Patrick Herbert (Jaguars), RB Ja'Quinden Jackson (Jaguars), TE Quintin Morris (Jaguars) and WR Dorian Singer (Jaguars) were signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Link to storyFree-agent WR Elijah Cooks (Eagles), TE E.J. Jenkins (Eagles), TE Cameron Latu (Eagles), WR Terrace Marshall Jr. (Eagles) and QB Kyle McCord (Eagles) were signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: McCord was a sixth-round pick (Syracuse) for the Eagles just last year. He's got an incredibly quick release and has no problem challenging a defense. McCord is worth developing, and on the Eagles there could be something there for the future. |

Free-agent RB Israel Abanikanda (Packers), WR Mecole Hardman (Packers), WR Isaiah Neyor (Packers) and WR Will Sheppard (Packers) were signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: The Packers have quite the collection of talent at the receiver position, both on the active roster and the practice squad. Sheppard is a player who can stand out with speed and ball-tracking ability on deep shots. |

Footballguys view: Sermon is a player we'll continue to monitor in deep dynasty. The Steelers want to run the heck out of the ball, and Sermon is on his fourth team since entering the NFL as a third-round pick (49ers) out of Ohio State. |

Free-agent QB Brett Rypien (Vikings), RB Gary Brightwell (Bengals), RB Kendall Milton (Bengals), WR Jordan Moore (Bengals) and WR Isaiah Williams (Bengals) were signed to the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: Williams was undrafted out of Illinois in 2024, but he made the Lions final roster after coming aboard as a priority free agent after the draft. Now with the Bengals, the speed and playmaking ability as a returner keep us interested but only in super deep dynasty formats. |

Free-agent WR Andre Baccellia, RB Michael Carter, TE Josiah Deguara, WR Simi Fehoko and WR Tejhaun Palmer were signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: We still, perhaps foolishly, have interest in Carter but only in crazy deep dynasty. He's got a three-down skill set and can make plays as both a runner and receiver out of the backfield. The former fourth-round pick (Jets) in 2021 will now wait for an opportunity. |

Link to storyFormer Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Trey Palmer was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Link to storyNew England Patriots WR Ja'Lynn Polk (shoulder) and LB Jahlani Tavai (calf) were placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Footballguys view: Polk, a second-year receiver, will now have season-ending shoulder surgery. A second-round pick (Washington) just last year, Polk seemed in danger of making the team before suffering this shoulder injury. He'll have a ton to prove next year in training camp. |

Miami Dolphins OG Liam Eichenberg (undisclosed) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, Aug. 26, and will miss at least the first four games of the regular season.
Link to storyBaltimore Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (foot) was not placed on the Reserve/Injured list because the team expects him to return during the early part of the season, according to general manager Eric DeCosta.
Footballguys view: The Ravens did not put him on IR, so Likely might just need to miss a couple of weeks at the start of the season. The team has high hopes for Likely this year and in the future. When he returns, Likely will look for snaps behind starting TE Mark Andrews. |
Free-agent WR Kendrick Bourne (Patriots) is of high interest to the San Francisco 49ers, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Bourne wanted an opportunity at playing time that wasn't going to happen as the Patriots no.5 receiver. The 49ers would have interest in the veteran because of his familiarity with the scheme and their injuries at the position. He spent five years with the 49ers, and his final season with them (2020) Bourne had 49 receptions for 667 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in 15 games and five starts. |

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice has accepted a six-game suspension and will miss the first six games of the 2025 season, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Rice will be a big play option for the Chiefs when he returns to the field in Week 7 against the Raiders. His current ADP is WR28 with Fantasy GMs cooking in the suspension when considering him in drafts. |

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cade Otton (leg) is dealing with a different leg injury than the hamstring issue he dealt with earlier in camp, and his status for Week 1 is in question, according to head coach Todd Bowles.
Footballguys view: If Otton has to miss time, the Buccaneers will turn to Payne Durham in his place. We were interested in Otton this season, especially early on with Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan missing time. |
